Is there a chance you could make a video about manicures for the body types? I know nails are just a tiny part of the body, but I've noticed that with acrylics or gel extensions some people look really nicely put together and it really adds to their look while on others, despite being well done, it just looks tacky, cheap, over the top. So I do think it matters.

It is really insulting to people BORN with this color...my grandmother had it,,my father had it, I have it, my son has it. my grandson has it...that is alot of people to be insutling their NATURAL haircolor! I get streaks in summer in the sun where my hair lightens ....and again every single person in my family has had this hair...it is golden blonde...it is lovely with my tourquoise eyes that have a golden ring around the iris. I freckled when young until my mid 20s...my skin is a light golden color on top becaise the sun hits it then u derneath warmer deep honey almost a light amber...all my family has this color we are Scots and English pretty sure I have Viking genes because the area of Scotland I am from had repeated invasions..
My coloring attracts alot of positive attention and always has..over processed ashy hair looks so fake and actuañly looks grey and old to me and it is always fake looking except on older people ...to each their own I guess. I am a golden girl and not unhappy about that.
I wear warm toned colors....cognac brown, warm gold velvets, yellows, creams...the colors that look terrible on me are black near my face, greys, forest green there are others too but all dark and dreary...tourqouose and aqua are amazing near my eyes though they arent instyle colors now. They makes my unique eyes pop. My very best color near my face...corals and any warm pinks are great for me too the greyed pi ks popuñar lately look better with ashy color hair.

Trends 🙄. If you like it, and it works for you, then go for it! My hair has red highlights and undertone, but my skin "says" I should I have ashy blonde. I'm 100% for going with what comes natural to you.

You are so right about the shag cut! My hairdresser gave me an unsolicited shag for some inexplicable reason and I was so unpleasantly surprised, esp bc it has those spindly ends at the bottom and I’m a soft natural who needs my flowing hair to grow back, lol. Yes Joan Jett and David Cassidy are the only ones who can pull off a shag.

I haven't lightened my hair for some time and have been considering it but watching your video today made me realize that my natural hair color probably is the most flattering to my skin tone. I thought this video was really interesting. I would have liked to seen a little bit more about long hair or hair that wasn't as fine/thin but it was a really informative video and I appreciated it!

That very first haircut picture you showed: I had something like that when I was 18 and it looked insanely cool in selfies and very stupid in real life even though I did style it every day. IRL it looked like a cheap wig tbh. I didn't learn much from that because I continued to get such haircuts done over and over again (different cut, similar effect) and just learned recently why these styles never REALLY satisfy me even though I love them (in pictures).
I am also looking forward to your new series. I finally really figured out my Kibbe ID (before it was always like "could be, kinda sounds alright, but somehow the majority of the recommendations for that ID don't really go with me" so I assumed my essence blend was the reason for that, now I found THE ID that doesn't even make me second guess whether or not my essence blend might disturb the overall image/vibe and every recommendation makes total sense) and am looking for a hairstyle I REALLY like that would match my ID. It's not that I dislike any of them, but they all are not perfectly down my alley. I already know the general outline for the hairstyle I wanna go for, just figuring out the details and the "bigger picture" if that makes sense. So I think your new series is really gonna help me decide. (Also about the color.) But since I have quite some time left to figure it all out, I got plenty of time to make a choice. (I currently have a pixie with an undercut and even though in terms of convenience, it is perfect, I always knew it wasn't the "right" hairstyle for me and I am finally ready to let it go.)

Henna can work with the natural hair colour - apply more for longer if your other strands are darker, or vice versa if your natural hair colour is lighter.
The only time I'd recommend against it is when you have fully white (not grey) hair. Because then henna will make it look artificially bright orange (not ginger). On gret hair it turns a more natural shade of brown (providing you're using 100% natural henna).

While I agree about long straight hair with straight fringe usually not looking that good, IMO everyone is fully free to choose which haircut & colour combination they want & feel suits them best! Rules such as given here are so arbitrary, and just matter of opinion, and one opinion isn't better than another. Also, I wish people stopped using derogatory words like "mousy", or equally bad, "dirty" or "dishwater" blonde, of someone's hair, it is really derogatory & insulting! (Never has any natural hair colour been saddled with insults such as this.)

Umm thanks Alyona?? My natural haircolour is brass and in the sun it gets more golden, or "yellower" as many would call it. I have pale skin, greenblue eyes, both green and blue veins, tons of freckles. So I'm a bit "special" since I'm not a redhead but brasshead. When I was a child it was reddish brown but since teen years brassy.
Hair colours dont stick to my hair and I have been refunded at the hairdressers several times. So most of the time I go around with my brassy hair as it is. Anyone horrified yet?
But weird enough, I've also had quite many compliments through the years about my haircolor, probably because they see beauty in "rare" features of people too.
And no, I dont wanna bleach and put in tons of purple shampoo, because I'm not fond of greyish or cold blonde hair. If anyone else like their hair like that (or is born with it) it is totally fine by me.
Also my thin and fine hair would break with bleaching, been there done that.
I guess tomorrow I'll be wearing a hat since "no one fits in brassy hair"...

    • @JBUHJBUH
      @JBUHJBUH 3 месяца назад

She emphasised that it's because brassy can look like a dye job gone 'wrong' (i.e. a darker haired woman not being able to reach blonde).
If you have that hair colour naturally then congratulations! It means you're likely lucky enough to harmonise with your natural skintone/ eye colours etc.
The reason it looks like a 'wrong' dye job on most folk is because it looks separate to their natural colouring. Like a wig.
