No that's not true, investment banking is higher paying sector, and the only sectors paying more then it are private equity, venture capital and hedge funds
@@prithakshrestha brother I think you don't know that in india their are only 920 investment banker in India and only 120 of Bulge bracket banks and software engineers are everywhere, poor situation of india engineer, and even their must be 1000+ software engineers at FANG
How does someone with no MBA get a job at an investment bank? I've heard you don't need an MBA but every job I've been interested in seems to require one. Thanks
the investment banking recruiting process starts really early during undergrad. by the time you hit the summer of your junior-senior year you should at least have an internship lined up. usually this internship leads to a full time offer right after undergrad as an analyst. you can be promoted to associate level without an mba. majority of the associate level investment bankers with mbas pursued the mba to transition over to investment banking, they were probably doing something completely different in another industry/function.
software developers in Jacksonville Florida average $70,000. Also these jobs have much better work life balance and you won't be working 80+hour work weeks. I have heard that investment banking is not as an attractive industry as it used to be from former GS and BOA traders and that the compensation was much more lucrative in the early 2000s. Also with millennial it has been more a norm to job hop after a couple of years to try new things and get higher pay. From what I have heard from ITPM, most people who go to them go to learn the professional trading approach to trade as a skill but don't necessarily want to work at an Investment Bank or Hedge Fund.
No shit, they are before taxes. The point is that even the net income for a first year analyst would eventually be more than almost any other designated profession worldwide.
i can confirm that 1st year associates make $140 salary and up to $120 bonus. this is for baird, a middle market firm. you can use that as the base for a lot of the other middle market firms and bulge brackets as well.

A job at FANG is extremellllyyyy hard to get. Harder to get into that investment banking.

Do u know why london banks pay pretty less than NY or Hong Kong banks? I heard banks in NY or HK pay over $150000 as a total compensation
Because the London bankers get more holidays and have less stress than their other counterparts.
