Thanks. I think it may take a few listens for Tame Impala to grow on me. I'm more into the music end of things and not so much lyrics. A lot of what people have been asking me to listen to is more about the lyrics. I'll give anything a try. I'm always surprised at what I like. I'm just discovering the Anatolian Rock thing and really like most of what I've heard.

it makes sense what you say as most of Erkin Korays songs are pieced together from other records so thats why it sounds like you heard it before, i think this song is 90's not sure of exact date though. he's still alive.

John you should look at how Tame Impala works as a band (because on the albums it's basically Kevin Parker on all instruments and vocals).
I put you a link in which you will see that the amount of effects used is an integral part of the sound of the band !
This is a "live" session (without audience) for Deezer in 2015 (The style and sound of "Let It Happen" is more contemporary than the other two or three tracks you've heard before from Tame Impala).

I'm discovering that The Rolling Stones did Erkin Korays song and if my facts are correct, changed the name to Paint It Black. According to the translator, it was originally called A September Evening. Is that close? I like learning these things.

@@kertenkele7848 I am Turkish thank you :-) I live in Amsterdam and my English is better but I can speak Turkish, the first 45lik kayit in Turkey was Baris Manco in 1962, Erkin Koray first single Bir Eylul Aksami was in 1966, the reason people think it was 62 because of wrong information given in a book called Bir Erkin Koray Kitapi published in the late 90's, the author of this book also says this was a mistake, when you look at the record label that Bir Eylul Aksami came out on the serial number for the record points to 1966. Erkin Koray was not famous and did not have a hit until 1967 with kizlarin Alin Askere, his 2 45"s before then (both from 66) sold very little and Ahmet Ertegun would not have have known about Erkin Koray, Erkin Koray was not a name until 1967. Unlike you who only has speculation i am dealing in facts, this record was not released until 1966, stop making things up.
