the black emperors do look cool but my experience with them is similar to yours with Serpae tetras. The current 6 I have is the result of 3 purchases which were always 7+ per purchase.
@@kevinhoang1760 yes. My preferred fish do not utilize vertical spaces as much as horizontal, so I went with the longer build. The shallower depth (front to back) makes scaping a bit more challenging when using large hardscapes, though.
