So based on what you said, calculate for your FGPA to know your first class , second class and so on, we use our GPA for each level to calculate for our FGPA not CGPA right
Hi Victoria, great video! Please could you help me with how to calculate the FGPA for a 2 year Top-Up course specifically the PharmD Top-Up Programme? I'm a bit stuck. Is the ratio a 1:1 for a 2 year top-up course or it's something else? Please help. Thank you.
Please use 2:2 ratio and a total of 4. That has usually been used for diploma to degree which is a two year programme.. I will confirm if it’s the same for PharmD Top-up
Hi Kingsley, I just logged into mis to see what you're talking about. It's new to me because it wasn't there previously. When I checked, I noticed it wasn't for all the courses I took, it was at either the beginning or end of the semester/year. I wouldn't conclude that it means "Yes, you were admitted to sit for the exam for that particular period" but I will keep monitoring and delve further. The GOOD NEWS is that, it has affected anything in the alternative progress report and it won't. So, don't worry about it.
No please More often, grades are not rounded to the next decimal. If it's your CGPA, the possibility of your FGPA moving to 3.0± is high. But if it's your FGPA, it's likely to be left as 2.99
@@terrynyarkoh760 okay. So this is how it works, they put the GPA for L100 together and write the respective academic year. So you may see only one GPA for L100 (usually written at the top of the first semester); and then you will see one GPA for L200, same applies to 300 and 400. They usually list the courses together for that particular academic year. I hope this helps.
The GPA on the transcript is calculated for each semester. If you want to calculate your FGPA, you have to put the grade points (eg 10.5, 12, 7.5) for L100 together and divide it by the total credits (eg. 30). Do same for L200 & L300. and then follow the procedures in the video.
Okay. To know the final one, use 1:1:2:2 = level 100 - 400 respectively. So level 100 will be ⅙× your GPA. L200 will be ⅙×GPA , L300 will be 2÷6 × GPA and same for L400. Sum up the answers for all levels. GPA here means GPA for the particular Level.
The GPA at the alternative progress report is just the last semester in the various years which is not supposed to be just that , so I don’t think that is what they use in calculating the fgpa . Pls cross check and redo your video before you mislead people
Hi Edmund, thanks for your concern. Please note that The GPA at the Alternative Progress Report is calculated for every level and not just last or one semester. It is different from CGPA which is for every semester. At the end of the four years journey, you graduate with a FGPA (which is derived from your GPA using the 1:1:2:2 ratio). Please check pay keen attention and recalculate. Do let me know if you have any concerns or needs further explanations.

Exactly. So, your GPA for the entire L100, L200, etc., not for each semester
Thanks alot and we need more videos on these stuffs@@VICTORIA_HELPDESK
I thought we would use our CGPA to calculate our FGPA....
Thanks we need more videos, to educate ourselves thanks

How do you calculate if you've taken a course twice
Please add the two courses.
Please on the alternative progress report
My examination admission no “Y” shows there what does it mean?

@@victoriaantwi2301 Thanks
How about those who join the university from level 300?
That would mean you have been awarded a Diploma or other certificate already. So, you will calculate from where you started.
The gpa on alternative progress report is just your results for last semester please.😢
That's because you probably have completed just last semester.
Usually, it's for each academic year.
@@VICTORIA_HELPDESK I’m in level 300 now. The Gpa I see there is just level 100 last semester and 200 last semester.

Can i get your contact
Pls how do you calculate for repeated courses
You will calculate it the same way please. Add all the courses you took for the semester. You need not to omit any
Vic please are you sure the school calculates the FGPA as you have calculated yours.
To the best of my knowledge, that's how FGPA is arrived at.
Is the GPA at the alternative progress report on the mis web accurate
Yes please
Very accurate
@@VICTORIA_HELPDESK and is that what the school use in calculating FGPA of students?
I don't understand something. Do they add both level sems to arrive at that 2.8 or they just pick the first semester of each level
Yes please
@Augustine abaasah, there is GPA and FGPA. The GPA is for just a semester. The FGPA will put together all the GPAs.
Do let me know if it’s clear.
Hey! What's the conversion of 8 point GPA into percentage?
Hi Aditi, do you mean mean a FGPA of 8?
If so, what is the total GPA scale? Eg. 3.4 over a total of 4.0
@@VICTORIA_HELPDESK No actually! I got 7 GPA out of 8 in the college.
So my GPA is 7/8. What is the conversion into percentage ? 😅
Oh okay
Depending on your college grading system (with regards to which marks give grade A), 7 out of 8 GPA equals 81 to 87.7.
Please does this calculation of final gpa apply to all universities in Ghana. For instance those using the 5.0 scale?
No please
This is for the 4.0 scale and more specifically.
You may mention your school so we check on that for you.
Oh ok. UDS Tamale
Hi, am in level 400 and I have my transcript with the GPA of each semester. How do I add all to know my class
The GPA on the transcript is calculated for each semester. If you want to calculate your FGPA, you have to put the grade points (eg 10.5, 12, 7.5) for L100 together and divide it by the total credits (eg. 30).

@@VICTORIA_HELPDESK the GPA is already on the transcript for each year so I want to know the final one to check my class
Is the GPA in the transcript always right?. I mean the one at the alternative GPA side
Yes, it's usually accurate.
Okay. To know the final one, use 1:1:2:2 = level 100 - 400 respectively. So level 100 will be ⅙× your GPA. L200 will be ⅙×GPA , L300 will be 2÷6 × GPA and same for L400. Sum up the answers for all levels.

Please the one on the alternative progress report is not accurate...calculate it manually to avoid disappointment
It is dear
The system is updated periodically, so it may not reflect the moment your results come in but it's accurate.
I also think it not accurate cus only calculates for second semester results ignoring first sem.
