    1st one never built oil pressure to get the low pressure light off even with all that cranking. Those poor bearings lol.

      @@hlq2action310 Being from a cold climate (Finland, temps vary between +30C to -30C) and 0W are bit too watery imo even tho newer cars use that. I have just used 5W on my cars and works great in -30C

    I had a 1997 Opel Vectra with 2.0 DTI and it started way better in -20. But not from the first time, I turned the ignition on and off for 3-5 times before starting.

      2.0 and 2.2 dti are decent engines themselves only if it wasn't for the fudging VP44 pump, I'd happily drive a mDTI with mechanical pump though. If I happen to buy a Vectra B it will definitely be 1.7TD, shame it's rare to find one, forget about a wagon with this engine too.

    do these cars need coolant?

    • @WymiataczPlays
      @WymiataczPlays  Год назад +4

      Yes! Even at -50 celsius outside temperature, if you run a watercooled engine without coolant, heat will eventually build up enough in vital areas enough to damage the engine. (mostly areas like around exhaust ports in the head)
      Granted it won't happen as fast as in not-so-cold temperatures, but it will!
      Edit: Oh, and without coolant you won't have any heating inside the cabin, which is something you wouldn't like in extreme cold :D
