That haul you got from Facebook was amazing! You got the same tank I’m pretty sure, or at least most of it’s parts, I saw Goobertown confirm in a comment as well. Can’t wait to see some of those sisters all painted up!
Stunning work as ever brother... Vallejo Model Air Aluminium has been my go to white metal highlight for a while now. It's a stunning highlight over GW Leadbelcher too.
Your videos are always such a pleasure to watch, and very inspiring. Many thanks for your efforts. How about hitting up one of those old 80s Blood Bowl minis and working your magic on an 'oldschool' GW sculpt?
I must admit that when you began using contrast paints I thought "He's phoning this one in". The result speaks for itself though! These look amazing finished.
Haha thanks. Contrast paints are an interesting product, they can look so bad, but there have also been some amazing paint jobs to come out of Contrast paints. Anything @minijunkie has painted in the last 6 months has been so good, and almost exclusively Contrast. I’ve been meaning to do an updated video with my thoughts on them since they came out too, maybe it’s time :)
Really love these videos where you use the existing comes in the rescue as opposed to reprimed or unpainted models. (Those are great too though, just prefer the rescue)
Love how ur using the contrast paints as a tool instead of an end all type of paint. Also ur gonna love the Vallejo metal color paints just got some and they are great. U can even mix them together and make different tones. Since there is only one gold and one copper u can mix them and get a retributor style gold.
So far I’ve found that they work really well for small detailed items and using like glazes, still doing more tests, hopefully we can figure out their best uses sooner than later! I am excited to try the Vallejo metal colors, I’ve heard a lot of good things :)
Haha yeah, it keeps coming back, although I think burnt umber might be the new contender when it comes to how much I use it lol. Thanks for watching and I’m glad to have provided you with a bit of fun every week :)
I try and add everything to my Instagram account after the videos have been up for a little bit, that’s probably the easiest way to see them. I also add them to the Facebook page along with wip photos before the video goes up :)
@@eBayMiniatureRescues Did you watch Scott's (Miniac) recent tutorial on photo stacking for mini photography? Incredibly cool, but if I remember right you aren't unversed in photography?
It’s been pretty great for the small detail stuff, the spray widens up to an inch too for much larger things, so it has good flexibility. I got the 20/20 2f, it’s like the slim but it has a small cup on top instead of the reservoir. Otherwise it’s the same brush. I have had some issues with it, but overall it’s been very nice to use. I plan on doing a review pretty soon :)
Watching you airbrush, what PSI do you use? How fine of a tip do you use? You spray so close. I have a Master airbrush, and when I get close it starts to pool quickly, even if I'm barely pulling the trigger, and blows strongly at 20 PSI
Sorry this took so long to get to, I totally missed this comment!! I shoot almost everything around 25 psi, lower if it’s thinner, higher if it’s thicker. My guess is that you are probably going too thin on your paint right now. I’ll go down to 15 psi for inks, that’s usually a good spot for my master brush. The other thing it could be is that you need to be a little more patient when building up those colors, if it’s thin it will spiderweb if you hold it too long in one place. You want to glaze that color in very very lightly over several layers until you reach the opacity you want, each layer needs to dry in between, try pulling back just slight enough to get some paint on there and then push your finger forward so it’s only blowing air again, that will help dry the paint in preparation for the next layer. You could also try loosen the spring that pushes on the trigger, make it a little softer so you have a little more control on the trigger, you shouldn’t have to fight the trigger when pulling back, it should be a little resistant, but not so much that you have to force it back and tire your finger out. I did that with mine and it’s been much better since. Of course it could be any number of these, or quite possibly none of them. Try them and see if it makes a difference. If you still have questions hit me up on Instagram or Facebook :)
I have an imperial knight that id love to see what you could do with. Interested? I was happy with its paint job a few years ago but now after i have more practice i feel like i could have done a better job.
I don’t know what blue it was, it looked like Vallejo Magic Blue or maybe GW Calador Sky. For all I know it was some kind of rattlecan blue lol. Still worked really well as an undercoat. It didn’t have a wash applied as far as I could tell. Hope that helps!
Compressor is no name brand amazon, I think it was $65? Been working like a champ for almost 2 years! The airbrush is a Sotar 20/20 2f. Really great small detail airbrush :)
Robert Moore mostly yes, I play and collect Warhammer. But, I just recently did some lord of the rings, with more to come, and I have a handful of star wars figures that I’m getting ready to paint. Each week brings new models, so you really never know what’s coming up next! I don’t even know what’s coming up half the time lol.
Can we have an episode where you actually buy the figures from ebay and we you buy a job lot? I feel like getting sent figures is a lazy way of presenting the show and also denies the feeling of the unknowing when opening the box.
Got to be honest I feel the same. But! I also appreciate that RUclips content production you just gotta roll with it so... Let's see what happens. I am gonna second this cheers
Nailed it!
Thank you!
Just wanted to say I’m a big fan of your channel, amazing job over at Squidmar!
@@eBayMiniatureRescues Thx, and the same to you. Great content here. My fav is the exorcist you did a few weeks back, keep the videos coming :)

Super happy to have one of these at my house. So much quality in your work. You ever need another donation message me. 😁
Nice donation, man. Casey did a sick job rescuing them!
thank you for donating , it was a pleasure to watch them being painted.
You got one of the models back? I just assumed once you donated them they were gone.
Love the way you can 'see' the end result and transpose it onto the model. These really are gems.
These are absolutely amazing. Props to you man.
Good man Russell, fair play to you
You're getting refined!!! It shows! 👌👌👌
Thank you! I’ve been trying to get in at least a couple hours a day painting, slowly but surely :)
Thanks Russell.
These models look great. Good job.
One of your best videos, and I love this paint job! Really awesome, man! Thanks to Russel H!
Another good video. A lot of improvement in the music, editing and commentary. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Working hard each week to try and make it better :)
Amazing results!
That armor is soooo nice
Holy crap, those models are gorgeous.
THAT DAY OF THE WEEK AGAIN? YES THANKYOU.
Woo! Screaming bell! Everybody drink! (great video as always)
Edit: also thanks russel!
Great use of the contrast paints!
Major colourscheme inspirations here !
nice work! the use of contrast and normal paints really paid off.
I’m starting to use them a little more, trying to see where they will be the most useful, these were easy applications and definitely paid off!
Stunning work as ever brother... Vallejo Model Air Aluminium has been my go to white metal highlight for a while now. It's a stunning highlight over GW Leadbelcher too.
color scheme turned out so cool on these
These look amazing. Great work!
Ebay miniature rescue making my sundays better
I didn't know about the contrast paints, really cool. Also the metal looked great. Subbed.
Thanks! And thanks for the sub :)

I got an email a while back about some old blood bowl stuff, they are supposed to be coming in the mail at some point :)
turned out great! and glad to see the contrast paints mixing it up a bit .. i am loving them so far :)
Very excited to send in one of my minis. Good work as always.

Damb this is a really good video Casey. BALLIN. Really really really really nice paint job dude.
Screaming Bell you say? I think i've seen that used in your other vids I've been binging ;)
Love the vids. You've become my fav youtube mini painter
Haha yeah, it keeps coming back, although I think burnt umber might be the new contender when it comes to how much I use it lol.
Thanks for watching and I’m glad to have provided you with a bit of fun every week :)
Another great one I may have some unpainted models around my area I could give to you 😀
You are a master of colour! PLEASE show your finished painted items for longer , and slower, as we don't get to see them for long enough.
Links to photos would be appreciated too!
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll see what I can do!

@@eBayMiniatureRescues Did you watch Scott's (Miniac) recent tutorial on photo stacking for mini photography? Incredibly cool, but if I remember right you aren't unversed in photography?
I have been considering a Badger SOTAR brush, just for this type of use....nice to see it implemented! Which SOTAR version are you using?
It’s been pretty great for the small detail stuff, the spray widens up to an inch too for much larger things, so it has good flexibility. The contrast paint on the disk probably works wonders on Dark Eldar
Genius!!!!!!!!

Finally more AoS work
Yaaaaaaaayyy
I’ve got a lot more AOS on the way! Still spotted with some 40k, but some really exceptional fantasy models have come in recently :)
Ok cool

I hear the 20/20 has a really fragile needle, can you confirm?
@E Lowe what I was referring to was in comparison to other similar sized needles. Yes they will be fragile, that's a given for all needles.
Goddamn, these are sooo sexy..
I now hate mine, and might have to strip and restart them again !!!
I have no idea how to get in touch with you but I have a bloodthirster that could use your help!

these models dont need "rescuse" they are in perfect shape, just prepainted. The title is misleading, i thought broken pieces and require kithash
I want the link to the artist in the background the music 3:00 4:00
Check the description, there is always the name of the songs and the artists in it. That's the mark of involded people !
The drybrush was a mistake.
I should probably watch the video before hitting like on your videos, but I don't.
God damn but I was correct. That purple on copper effect was incredible
