I love how the DLC is a love letter to the animated series, especially the famous "Heart of Ice" episode. That episode, plus the two-part "Robin's Reckoning", rocketed the series to fame.
Well, they still aren't bad. Arkham City came before it though, and the graphics are better. My biggest quip wasn't the graphic, I like the graphics. It was the voice acting of the thugs. Arkham City had actors who played good goon, but origins had actors who sounded like they were recording in the bathroom.
Let's just all remember that this game came out way later than arkham Knight. Arkham knight uses unreal engine 4 city used unreal engine 3 asylum I don't remember and actually origins looks way better than asylum and I have the remastered version for city and asylum (also got arkham Knight but you get mine point. Older game uses older things that were the only things available back then)

Frozen Heart... Freeze's beginning. It would move me to me to tears...if I still had tears to shed. Edit: The episode's name is Heart of Ice. And yeah I got the Frozen reference. (Ugh)
Andrae Coleman The storyline is better than the others. Asylum and City had the exact same story line, Knight was a bit different but still similar and Origins was the only different one
Arkham had a series where each game had a good setting in it. Asylum- environments and setting City- plot and secrets Origins- bosses and backstory Knight- fighting and graphics Play them together u get a series thats almost perfect.
one thing batman stands corrected - "criminals are a fearful and cowardly lot". Mr. Freeze seems to be a good example of a villain who is not just blind for self gains. For a man with no leverage to seek justice against a corporate owner, he needs more than reliance on the city's legal processes. He needs abilities, for people to fear him, set in motion serious events in the city to get attention, and get others to support him to delay figures like batman from reaching him and to divert resources of gothcorp. This is done, unfortunately, by attracting mobs and desperate civilians with money gained through illegal means. This is the vulnerable point, the top of the fulcrum for Mr. Freeze. In alternative versions dealing with the police, his rehabilitation would have gone awry, and he would have slid into vicious cycle of attempting vengeance and putting people in danger as well as breaking heavy laws in the process. However, batman managed to see the full story and brought Ferris Boyle to justice. Examining multiple sides of the story of a criminal, not for the favor of the individual, but for the level of justice and safety in the community and for uprooting unseen corruption, is prudent and always the way to go when representing the law. I believe this is the reason DC is constantly pushing the theme of not killing criminals. One more consideration before someone dies in the hands of the authority or of the disproportionately-powerful. One more chance at rehabilitation. And one step away from a police state.
Im pretty sure in the Batman Beyond Series He actually had his redemption to a normal man trying to atone his mistakes...until people betrayed him again
Who remembers Batman: The Animated Series: Heart of Ice? "This is how I shall always remember you: surrounded by winter, forever young, forever beautiful. Rest well, my love. The monster who took you from me will soon learn that revenge is a dish... best served COLD".
Freeze has always been my favorite of the Rogues, because he isn't motivated by greed or ambition or simple bloodlust. His entire world revolves around his wife and his search for a cure. I've always wondered what would happen if he became a good guy.

Despite my problems with Arkham Origins (I still enjoy the game though), I must admit, I love how empowered I feel while fighting thugs. It's the kind of raw, uninhibited power that only a young Batman could have.
I don't know what is it about Arkham origins but IMO and this is just my opinion I feel like its the best one out of all the Arkham games, I just love how you basically get to see batman become who he is and how his and Gordon's relationship develops and seeing all his villains at the beginning of his career, such a masterpiece I really wish they made a remastered version of this game!
As far as armored batsuits go, this is definitely one of the bests Also, I miss the power glove abilities we got in Origins, like the Shock and Thermal gloves. Really wished they incorporated that back in Arkham Knight
that would've made the game too easy. you even find the shock gloves in the GCPD evidence room with Cash's commentary revealing that Batman turned them in along with the REC from City. with Cash even snarking that Batman must miss beating up thugs the old-fashioned way. a little jab at how the shock gloves were OP in Origins.
lol I love that Bruce says "they're being lead by someone in a mechanized suit" instead of "they're being lead by a dude with ice powers" It's like if he saw super man flying around and lifting up tanks and the first thing he said was "That guy's wearing his underwear on the outside"
I love Freeze’s character. Mr. Freeze is one of my favorite Batman villains mainly because, unlike other villains, his intentions are pure and he has nothing against Batman. We see them work together time and time again just in the Arkham series alone. It makes me think what things could be like if Nora was saved. Heck, maybe Victor would join up with Batman to stop crime. He never seemed to like, tolerate, or even cooperate with Gotham’s other signature bad guys.
Black mask would of been Nice but it’s just joker and his tricks again not disappointed he is in the game but disappointed he was cosplaying Black mask
Toasty boi supposed to be? Says who? I always thought it was supposed to be a showcase of Batman’s rogues gallery - the diversity of it and the complexity of the characters as relationships change. Joker is just one part of that rogues gallery - a very important piece, yes, but he’s not the sole enemy and having him as the main villain constantly is tiresome. It makes sense to showcase how this duality between them came to be, but they could’ve easily done that without throwing Joker in the spotlight. In my opinion characters like Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, and Two-Face are more interesting anyway.
Freeze has gotta be my favourite villain- when he's done well. (Batman animated series, arkham series) He's a reluctant villain who's only motivation was stealing enough money so that he could finally be reunited with his dearest Nora, or punishing the world for taking her away from him. Very human emotions of love and anger, especially coming from the man who feels only cold.
Alfred: Sir I'm sending you a care package with the XE suit to help you fight the cold. I'm also sending you a hot cocoa canister as well, would you like some marshmallows in there sir? Bruce: As if that needs an answer Alfred Alfred: Excellent choice sir, it should be done shortly.

Some things were just awesome about Arkham Origins, like the exo-suit and the batcave. I hope there's gonna be a sequel with a much more alive Gotham City and some of the great elements from Arkham Knight.
RevafallDCUO there is a game rumored of a customizable batcave, a more alive city, game takes place on multiple days, and you can drive the bat cycle. There is one problem with this... Damian Wayne is rumored to be Batman :(
I may be in the minority here, but I think the game would've been better if Batman was less refined in his fighting, gliding, detective and stealth skills. It would've been a different experience, and I think that's *cool*
Andreas Otto Hansen I'd assume Bruce I'm not sure if he had any sidekicks during origins or perhaps fox if he was an associate back then outside of that couldn't see who else could assuming it would ruin his identity or constructers made the foundation and Bruce just added the bat touches
But Allnut didn't play a role in some continuities, and I can't remember if they ever said how in those. I always just assumed those continuities employed worker droids, or nanobots. Remember that Batman is a character that when he's rebooted, he becomes a reflection of DC's attitude and character at the time, and it's been a while since Bruce let anyone in without a lot of work from that person earning it.
This DLC is my favorite of all the Batman titles. I loved wearing the ex suit and throwing thermal batarangs! I couldn’t find all the anarchy symbols. The scope of the city was massive. Loved playing as Batman in the game!
Almost every story featuring Mr. Freeze has great writing (minus the infamous 1997 film). Freeze and his story is one of the most tragic ever told in popular fictional culture, with an underlying touch of humanity. A broken man who risks everything and everyone around him trying to save the life of his wife Nora, the one last fragment of the good man he used to be, in hopes that it will bring an end to his suffering. On that note, the finale of Freeze’s story arc in the Arkham series was SO satisfying, and to a degree, heartwarming even.
I love how after all the effort to bring down Mr Freeze's health, the game flips the script and now you're fighting to prevent Freeze's health from being depleted
For me, I like exploring Batman's early history. Arkham Origins and (possibly) the upcoming Batman film are perfect examples. Batman is younger, more wreckless, less refined in his style in these stories compared to the classic, more mature Batman we're all afraid of.
Got to appreciate that there are criminals who straight up say "I'm fucking scared of batman." And the goons who hear that and can honestly say "I'm also scared of the batman"
Victor Fries is the only villain/neutral I can relate to; one caregiver to another. He's a great allegory for how bad caregiver burnout can take over a good person. The eventual obsession of providing, empathizing, believing there's a cure somewhere for your loved one - especially if it's your one and only love - can drive an intelligent, sensible caregiver to extremes and despair. A dangerous combination.
God tier gamer/gameplay. Waiting for the dialogue and cutscenes to end before moving on, talking to everybody and looking at scenery. Perfect combat and predator, getting every side quest. God tier
I wish there were quotes like “Woah, rich boy’s got moves” “Wayne can Brawl?” “Since when do you fight Wayne?” It would’ve been great

@@artelo6312 I actually prefer his Batman to Kevin Conroy, nothing against Conroy either because in Arkham Knight he’s FRIGHTENINGLY badass, but RCS was something else
@@RealJDGaming I liked Conroy most in the animated shows, especially in the JL cartoon. But as you said Roger really is something else. With him voicing as a younger Batman, you can really feel the rage in every line he says. Conroy as Batman felt emotionless at certain times, especially that one certain death scene in City 👀 Roger on the other hand is the most emotion we've seen out of him.

@TOBIAS WETTERGREEN You tell him.
It's weird looking at these graphics, they seemed so good when they first came out.
i know right? After playing Arkham knight this seems so bland in comparison
F Brown I think some of the graphical degradation can be attributed to RUclips's limits at the time it was uploaded.
Older game uses older things that were the only things available back then)
Saitama, The Strongest Man I know this is 2 months old but arkham knight use unreal engine 3(4 is used only in return to arkham)

one thing batman stands corrected - "criminals are a fearful and cowardly lot".
Im pretty sure in the Batman Beyond Series
He actually had his redemption to a normal man trying to atone his mistakes...until people betrayed him again

Origins was such a good game. The boss fights were incredible its just a shame they once again had joker as the main villain

Pea Wea no doubt my absolute favorite villain in Origins was Slade/Deathstroke. Bane was good as well I feel
Toasty boi nice way to see the franchise, never thought in this way
Toasty boi supposed to be?
I feel kinda bad for mr freeze, he just want to save his wife Nora :/

But Allnut didn't play a role in some continuities, and I can't remember if they ever said how in those. I always just assumed those continuities employed worker droids, or nanobots.
