It took me nearly 6 weeks to 'adjust' Jen. Some days I couldn't put one foot in front of the other, but I persevered. It was the best thing I ever did. One day I woke up, jumped out of bed and have felt invincible ever since! Not been sick for 8 years now.

Jenn, many thanks and props for sharing the stuff that's not pretty. When we go through the "ugly" and it looks like everyone else is only experiencing "pretty" it makes us feel so alone, and like a failure. Thank you for showing that we're not alone!! Keep on keeping on.

In my second week on carnivore I felt miserable and had horrible diarrhea....in hindsight I was way over doing it on the fat, I backed off a bit on bacon grease, stopped putting extra butter on my steak and so on. After a couple days was back to normal. Now i know my limits and how to keep things balanced ;) hope you feel better soon

Bacon is my savior. I am all about bacon. I made the mistake of eating butter and cheese after no butter or cheese for weeks. My body rejected that decision. I think it was the cheese. Bad mistake. This is harder than I thought. I'm learning bacon gets me through bad times though. Hang in there Lady. ❤

Thanks for the update, Jen! I hope you will continue sharing bc it’s so helpful & motivating to me. I hope you are feeling better each day. I’m a couple of weeks in again (mostly keto before w/ a few weeks in March of carnivore) and finding it easier bc the cravings for crap have gone away. I only had slight tummy discomfort for a couple of days but I think it was bc I had been keto so it wasn’t as big an adjustment. I’m down about 20 pounds since the beginning of the year. Most of the loss has been from the time doing carnivore. My mental clarity is amazing now and I’m thrilled to have dropped 2 clothing sizes already. Excited to see more changes as we both go along. ❤️💪

😢 sorry to here Jen. Incredible how fast your glow has gone for the moment. I can relate to this current effect your experiencing. I might even say it could be different for men than women?? We have cycles, and this means our hormones are changing, and maybe as they adapt, we feel it ?? It got really bad for me a month in on carnivore diet and even thou I had no cravings one day I ate one sourdough bread and it seemed to stop the runs and everything since has improved and body is calm and I'm guessing is ft adapted now at the two and a half month mark. I didn't have any electroyles because I haven't found any appropriate. I use good salt and filtered water and two meals a day. It is good to see your spirit is strong despite your ill feelings. Because these, as you know, will pass, and your health journey will continue. Onwards and up Jen. Godbless

I haven't had that. When I'm hungry I'm hungry. I've been eating twice, around 1 p.m. (2-4 eggs, usually three fill me up) and beef at 6 p.m. and then I'm not hungry again until the next afternoon. If I do get hungry in between, I eat two boiled eggs, or have a large cup of unsweetened tea and that fills me up, or take a couple of good bites of butter. Luckily I love butter. Lol. I pray you feel better tomorrow. Make yourself eat some eggs and bacon tomorrow, at least. You might not think it's going to taste good to you but it might when you take your first bite. Read some Hebrew scripture and pray. You still have two legs to walk, to eyes to see, two arms to hold your loved ones. You are blessed.

I had similar issues when I started. Your using organs that haven’t been tasked to do the job they’re doing in a long time so it may take them a week or 2 to get up to speed. Bile is produced by the liver, then stored in the gall bladder to be released into the small intestine to emulsify fats so they can be absorbed by the body and used as energy and a host of other things. Your liver probably hasn’t ramped up to speed to handle the increase in fats so they go undigested and out the other end they come! It’s an adjustment but it’ll happen! Good luck.

I felt great until after a week after starting carnivore and then felt horrible and on top of it I caught a virus. Drink as much LMNT as you can and rest your body knows what it needs. I wish I had known then what I know now, but seeing my bld sugar stay down kept me sticking to it. Hang in there it gets better! I started March 15th I’m more ketovore than carnivore but keep carbs below 10. Since March I’m down 4 sizes, a tight 18 to a 10. (I don’t weigh because me and the scale don’t like each other 😆) and have reversed my diabetes. Also cholesterol is fantastic! Was so happy for you when you started! I get tired of ribeye and have to change things up even if it’s just a cheese omelet with bacon or sausage. Sometimes I add mushrooms 😁. Hope you start feeling better soon but know you definitely will.

It takes a bit for the body to get used to higher fat diets. Until the body gets used to higher fat, it usually results in the body sending excess fat through (excess being beyond what it currently can digest) resulting in diarrhea. Too much salt can also result in a "salt flush," sending liquid through and also resulting in diarrhea. It will level out, but in the meantime there are sweet spots that can be found. Hope tomorrow goes better for you 😊

I've pretty much been whole animal carnivore now for about a month and a half, and I still can't do Jack. I crave probiotics and enzymes like a soane bitch, so I'm trying to pound down this raw fermented scrambled eggs stuff, but it's way hard getting them going on because they're hella rock me Amadeus!
