Landing and Departing Troutdale Airport

A few interesting experiences. Portland Approach misunderstands where I'm coming from (east vs north). Heavy winds during preflight. Then a "line up and wait" instruction, which is a first for me. Finally, a question from ATC inspires me to change my flight plan.
