  • Through Women's First International fund program on livelihood security for marginalized women and girls on border areas, RWUS supported marginalized women and girls for economic empowerment.
Women traditional weavers, artisans and young girls increased their annual income through improvement of life skills and market accessibility. Traditional weavers were provided with material support for their income generation. They produced thousands of traditional shawls with varied designs. These were marketed in local markets and neighboring states like Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram. School drop out and young girls from economically backward classes gained knowledge and improved skills on tailoring and beautician from their training courses. Women farmers markets are installed with an extensive campaign for selling local products that are organic and traditional.
