Does not work in Windows 11. Received email help from CMe but nothing worked. Two Widi Masters and both did not work with Windows 11. They need to make a PC version of the Widi Master that actually works.
Sorry to hear you have had this bad experience. I can imagine that that is frustrating. I think we can all relate to that feeling. I already answered your comments twice yesterday. It was a complete explanation including links. Quite useful for you and others who are searching the web for similar solutions. Unfortunately you deleted both your comments, and the answers given. And now you are back 😆 So, I will make a serious effort, again, twice 😜 First, WIDI is fully compatible with Window’s latest UWP API, including its latest MIDI drivers. For a variety of reasons many software developers do not support these drivers. That is why, for instance, Cakewalk and Steinberg software natively supports Bluetooth MIDI and other software does not. That is why we offer two workarounds. One is freely available via Korg’s BLE MIDI driver: www.cme-pro.com/widi-master-start-guide-bluetooth-midi/#tve-jump-1834ac15cc6 The other is a hardware solution. You can completely bypass the built-in Bluetooth of your PC with WIDI Bud Pro or WIDI Uhost. That will 100% take away your issue: www.cme-pro.com/widi-bud-pro/ Also, we offer a few troubleshooting tips for working with the onboard Bluetooth of a PC. First, make sure to update your Bluetooth drivers to the latest versions. Secondly, make sure to clear the Bluetooth connection cache of your PC: www.cme-pro.com/widi-master-start-guide-bluetooth-midi/#tve-jump-1834abec4da Also, for Windows 11 specifically, make sure you are in ‘advanced’ mode and not its default ‘simple’ mode for Bluetooth: www.cme-pro.com/widi-master-start-guide-bluetooth-midi/#tve-jump-1893ea77864 You can post a message in our group, there you will find that your experience is not a universal truth. Other music makers will be able to assist you based on their positive experience with Windows 11. @@CMEPro Nothing to do With Cubase. It's Widi Master being flaky with Windows 11. I briefly got My Yamaha DTX Multi 12 to be seen by Windows then it went away again. So these Widi devices are a NOGO for Windows 11. Definately don't recommend them for WINDOWS 11. Need more firmware updates.
@@Jellybeantiger if it is briefly seen, and then disappears, it is likely your WIDI device auto-connects to another device. Did you try to set your WIDI Master to force peripheral mode via WIDI App and turn of Bluetooth on any other device, including your mobile device that runs WIDI App? www.cme-pro.com/cme-widi-app-online-start-guide/#tve-jump-18c7650cd45
There is an FAQ section here: www.cme-pro.com/support/#tve-jump-18392469772 It explains how to operate with Windows 11 and it explains how to avoid auto-connecting when working with multiple WIDI devices. Simply locate ‘Windows 11: Discovery of WIDI devices’ and ‘Connection issues with multiple WIDI devices?’ With all the explanations you’ve done, I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with your WIDI device and you can get them to connect to Windows 11. Just take a deep breath, read carefully and follow the exact instructions. I know, this learning curve can be really annoying and frustrating, but you will be able to get this working as you want it to. 🙏🙏🙏
