Excellent. Soo much easier than reading / guessing the instructions. All products like this, including self assembly, should come with a complimentary video just like this. Thank you !
Thank you so much for this. Followed all your instructions from start to finish, much better than reading the booklet that came with it. Cleaned the carpet and I cleaned the vax too. Thank you so much, forwarding this to my daughter as she gets her Vax on Monday.
Glad it helped!
Great video, you've taken the fear out of my first carpet cleaning purchase! Thanks 😊
Just bought one.. followed instructions... machine and cleaning solution have TOTALLY WRECKED my rugs.
Thank you, this is the only video I found ,which shows you where the float valve goes ,very informative 👏
Was looking for any sort of instructions online as to how much solution to use, as the bottle wasn’t very clear but your video has helped so thank you! Your carpets looked clean beforehand and the water was still so dirty so I’m super excited to try mine out!! 😂
Thanks so much for a comprehensive review...helped me get my vax set up then gave me confidence to remove the brushes,, nozzle for cleaning, etc.
I've just bought this model and used it on my carpet with the provided cleaning solution. It did a good job on deep clean mode and dispensed the water and cleaning solution quite rapidly. The rinse mode also dispensed the water nice and fast. I'm very pleased with the results. I haven't tried any of the attachments so can't comment on those.
My cleaning brushes are not moving while cleaning 19:32 19:32
Please help me. 19:32
@@gurmejpadda6638 I'm sorry but I've got no idea how to help. If your machine is still under warranty then return it. Otherwise find a qualified engineer.
This is the best demo I've seen. Thanks very much.
Brilliant video, explains everything, good when it's to the point and so clear, will be saving this one, thank you very much, hate reading instructions.
I can't stress the importance of registering your machine,I actually had the orange old model which I bought last Christmas and I believe it's discontinued. Moving a month before lockdown was never gonna be easy and when it stopped working I had to wait and had to resolve to renting a rug doctor ( please don't,it's unhygienic and ... just don't) .. I finally managed to call them on Monday and I got the upgraded version of this one, obviously a far cry from the orange monstrosity I had bought. I haven't used it yet as I love to get a crash course.
Register your machine and I've looked at the reviews and they are glowing ☺️. I have a no shoes policy in my place so this just makes me that extra satisfied with the cleanliness of the carpets 🤗...
I just pour my dirty water down the toilet,I would never use the kitchen sink 🤷🏾♀️.
Wow this was very helpful to me. I bought me 4weeks ago and didn't know I to stroll the 2 nails on it lol. I have done that now and looking forward to using it
It looks like the Hoover power scrub, elite
Looking forward to get another review from this machine for the sofa cleaner
Just got mine and followed your instructions found very effective, many thanks.
Great video. And you explain everyhing so clear. Thank you
Excellant video, thank you. It showed me everything I needed to know in a very clear way and I look forward to your follow on video. The handbook which came with the machine had been poorly printed with no quality control, hence it was out of focus and the photos just looked like a smudge so without this video I would likely to have been stuffed.!!
Thanks mate, not for the assembly instructions (figured those out myself) but for allowing me to reverse engineer the packaging as I needed to send it back to my Father-in-law. I have a "slapdash" reputation with my wife's side of the family so this will help hopefully!
Very thorough demonstration. Thank you!
Thanks for the detailed demo. Very helpful!
Thank you for the clear and precise review of something I've just purchased much appreciated my friend
I have the Hoover Power Scrub Elite Pet USA version of this VAX and I have good results when cleaning. I love these videos! Keep up the excellent work 😃
Yes
Thank you very much for this thorough video
Gr8 video. It has convinced me to buy this machine...thanks.
Thank you so much, this has helped enormously. So much better than the instruction guide.
Thank you so much for this video was very easy to follow and informative
Very well reviewed & explained, thank you
Very helpful and clear instructions. Thanks very much!
Great video made my mind up going to get one thanks for taking the time to review this
Yep, Hoover and Vax are owned by the same parent company, hence the similarity in design. Regardless, I just got my hands on a Hoover Power Scrub Elite (same unit as shown here, but for North America), and I’m very impressed with the performance. Even after having my carpets professionally cleaned, I’m pulling out filth I never knew existed in them.
Also that is a awesome suite you got on I love cassette tapes myself
Love your videos Roger I’m a long time subscriber to your channel
Ah bless you for this video because I couldn't work out how to attach the hose for the life of me. I had a quick search for your 'how to use the attachment video' but couldn't find it, did you never upload it?
I have one of these but i have an issue, the water isnt reaching the hand attatchment, the trigger is also stiff. Any advice?
Hi, this was so useful. Our machine won't dry, have tried emptying the dirty water and clearing nozzle. Any ideas? Thanks
I have the USA version...Hoover Power Scrub Elite and it does a wonderful job. Best carpet cleaner I have purchased.
i have the same and the water pump failed
after a year, so i got a bissell proheat lift off pet, and that macen cleans much better than my hover does
@@harrycrafter18 I had the proheat and it broke after a year. Havent quite had this one that long ago now I am curious to see how it holds up
Great video roger
Keep up the good work ! Considering that carpet is only a year old it is surprising how Much dirt that comes out of it!
Cool machine! Wish this was available in Lebanon! :(
This video is absolutely brilliant .. helped me to fix my vax up with no problems!!!! Thank uuu
It looks like a Hoover power scrub, elite
It is basically the same as the Vax and Hoover are made in the same factory as both brands are owned by TTI.
Is this carpet cleaner suitable for a thick pile carpet? If not, can you suggest one that is. Thank you.
Do another video of this carpet cleaning machine please
Excellent video. Can I check something please? I turned it on quickly to check the motor was running and the blades (or sponges - whatever they’re called) weren’t moving. Was this because no solution/water was filtering through the appliance? Thanks
The brushes only spin when the handle is reclined to the operating position.
@@ibaisaic Once again, an absolute lifesaver 🙏🏻
Thanks sharing the video I haven't used my vacation cleaner yet . I understand the video a lot then the book .im not very good with reading and insturations .i'll tell you how I got on thanks
Nice job..
Looking forward to the longer demo, much like I do to the big mess tests.
Excellent video, can’t wait for mine to arrive next week, can you tell me what you use to remove the foam in the tank? Thanks 😊
I just use a defoamer from Amazon. amzn.to/3ZMW6ho
Thanks, do you also have the link for the full demonstration video please?
There will be no further videos on this Vax as I sold it and bought a Bissell.
When u do a rince cycle do u meed to fill the water tank,or can u just do a dry run over it to suck up any remainingwater.i apriciate u doing the video and any advice i would appricate thank you,I look foward to your reply on this matter.
Rinse involves using water. When you turn the dial to rinse it just puts down water without mixing in the solution. I would wash a small area, go over it without putting down water to remove the solution, then switch to rinse and go over the area again. Finish by going over the area without releasing solution to dry the carpet as much as possible. Remember to turn the dial back to wash before cleaning the next section of carpet.
Very helpful. Thank you ❤🎉
Hi I figured out your vax carpet washer are Hoover up in the USA
Great video but can you advise me as my carpet detergent does not dispense into the water tank?
How do you remove the hose as i cant get it off at all
Just got one of these. Excellent video, well-made, and clear.
I will add, though, the reason you had too much foam is because you used too much solution. You are meant to only use 40ml solution for every 1 litre of warm water. Too much solution, and you'll get too much foam, and you might end up damaging the machine. I learnt the hard way, my old Vax died due to overuse of solution to water ratio, it just killed the motor, in the end.
This Vax has the auto mix feature. You are supposed to add neat solution to the separate tank and the machine mixes it with the plain water in the larger clean water tank. This is how the machine is able to rinse the carpet as the dial on the tank stops the solution from mixing with the clean water. 40ml per 1 litre of solution is the dilution rate for Vax machines without the auto mix function. I would recommend using a defoamer in the dirty water tank to reduce excessive foam build up.
@@ibaisaic Hi, I got my information from the manual for this very machine. Yes, there is a separate solution tank, but it has a habit of using whatever is in there, proof is in your video - you have way more foam than I had when I first used mine. I measured my water amount, and used 1.5 litres of water, then put in 60ml of liquid - at the end, I had minimal foam, and both tanks were empty. My last VAX also had two tanks, water, and solution, and I used to fill both tanks. At the end of every carpet wash, I had so much foam that it eventually killed the VAX, and tripped the electric.
Excessive foam can also be caused by residue left in the carpet from previous cleanings. I have looked at the instructions online and it just says to put solution into the solution tank, it doesn’t mention diluting it. I sold this machine a while ago and use a Bissell Big Green that knocks spots off every Vax I have used in the past.
Vax's own instructional video for this type of machine shows that they intend users to add the solution neat to the solution tank: ruclips.net/video/keSBBj6XHBI/видео.html
Excellent review. Thank you so much.
worked well not sure it is picking the dirty water. i used 2 litres of water it was dry but water not going into the dirty tank.
This reminds me of the Hoover Power Scrub elite.
Hi, I've just subscribed to your channel which I've found useful. You said you were going to do a second video of the Vax Rapid Power Plus carpet cleaner CWGRV021 back in July this year. I've searched your site but cannot find a second video, which is frustrating as you have not actually recommended this model although it looks quite good. Are you going to do one or not and if not, could you make it clear whether you actually recommend this model or not please. Many thanks.
Please find and review hard floor scrubbers. It doesn't seem like any one is really making them any more. Even the Tax Floormate looks discontinued.
Hey , dirt water did not get collected. What wrong could I have done ?
We just got ours but we didn't receive the screws what type of screw is it
My vax carpet washer is not sucking the dirty water into bottom tank any ideas why thanks
Yep same....very wet carpets and with no dirty water sucked up it's all still in the carpet! It's gonna take ages not to mention electric.....wish I'd hired one!
Thank you for this video ❤️
Cleaning of the brushes , and when should you do it
How did you remove the solution connector tube? I can't get it out...
What’s the build quality like?
I have the following problem - there are two stages under which it works - sucking water and blowing warm air to dry the carpet. Unfortunately I can not control when those two stages will emerge and in the middle of sucking job it starts to blow air before all the water is properly sucked ( in the case the job is bigger). How can I control it myself when those two stages will change
Mate quick question what is the best carpet cleaner to buy? I'm ready to upgrade I think
Can i use any other carpet solution? Or only vax one?
proper job, many thanks for great video.
Really helpful, thanks. Particularly in explaining no measurement of cleaner etc is necessary. The instructions on the bottle suggest it is, and I had already filled the cleaning compartment with diluted solution when I saw the video ... had to ditch it and start again. :-)
The bottle gives dilution instructions for machines without the separate solution tank so yes, you just pour the neat solution into the small tank and the cleaner mixes it with the water automatically. This is how this model can offer a rinse mode that stops the cleaning solution from mixing with the water. It would have been OK to use your machine even with solution mixed into the main tank. Vax need to put something on their solution bottles to say that there is no need to dilute when using a cleaner with auto mix as a few people have made the same mistake as you. Glad my video helped.
@@ibaisaic Thanks. Yes. I got there. I think you might have inadvertently edited out the bit that tells people there's a lock on the front 'nozzle' (bit that sucks up the water) which needs to be undone to remove the nozzle for cleaning. You replace it clearly on the video, but I struggled a bit to be able to get it out until I found the lock. Absolutely not a complaint, but just to help others who may not have spotted it.
Which is more efficient and powerful this model or Platinum Thank you
Thanks
I have the Hoover version and love it
How much solution do you use everytime
Hi, does anyone know the scree size? I lost the screws somehow unpackaging and need to get some replacement ones!
Hi, can I use it on a floor? It's not tiles it's just the kinda plastic one that they put it over the hard floors. X
It could be used on a floor but it’s not designed for it and wouldn’t leave the floor as dry as a model with a hard floor squeegee attachment.
Cheers helped me alot as I can't read the instructions as the writing is so small
Where do you put the screws to hold the handle
I show that in the video.
I had a vax platinum plus with 2 bars. One of the bars would be terrible to pop out and then would be loose not rigid when reinstated. Vax replaced machine only for it too happen again
Is this a better model than platinum
Hi Roger! I just bought a second hand Sebo Felix Premium in Color Fun. I cleaned it and refurbished it and everything seems fine. It works perfectly . But the Powerhead keeps turning of on my very high pile shag rug ( 4 cm pile) as if there was a blockage. Is this normal on very high pile??? I would appreciate your answer. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!
9:42 I see broken tabs in the future.
i realise that this is over a year old but wanted to ask if it was definitely all dirt and not removing some of the colouring from the carpet (if that's even possible). very good video though, you do a great job of explaining it all !
I have never cleaned a carpet that wasn’t colour fast, so it is highly unlikely that any of the colouring was removed from the carpet. It may happen on a vintage rug, but most modern carpets do not bleed colour.
@@ibaisaic thanks.
Thanks for the tutorial, shame my brand new machine didn't work like yours. Bought it today and got a couple of passes in and the float valve popped up and that's how it's first outing out went. It only had a small amount of dirty water in the tank so it wasn't popping up because it was full. Any ideas before I have another hiss fit with it.
The float valve can pop up if you move the machine too fast causing the water to move and activate the valve. If the dirty water tank is foaming up, adding some defoamer will stop the valve popping up prematurely.
Thanks so much
Hi grate video i have just bought the same one and have fount i jet the same falt as you regarding foaming up in the wast tank and lifting the float. You siad about a defoamer, has it worked and can you tell me the make you use and the company i from the UK
I use Prochem defoamer, either liquid or powder. amzn.to/2NUDt6C
Many thanks
Quick question before i get into watching and using it, will this just vacuum by itself before the washing starts?
No, this is a carpet washer only. You need to thoroughly vacuum the carpet with a vacuum cleaner before using a carpet washer.
@@ibaisaic SO it has no suction alone?
Yes it has suction, but only to remove the cleaning solution from the carpet. It should not be used as a dry vacuum.
Thank you
My carpet is canny grubby and it’s gone abit hard and sticky in one place, do yous reckon this will get the stains out and make it less hard again?
Yes, it will remove semen stains from your carpet.
Excellent video. Thanks
Hi there. Thanks for this video. A question though, do you hold the release button all through the washing session or you leave it after some amount of water/chemical has gone down? Thanks
You apply the solution on the forward pass and release the trigger when pulling back. Always go over the area again a few time without releasing solution to help dry the carpet.
Could some of that colour be from the dye in the carpet?
The grey carpet is bleach cleanable and colour fast. The fibres were from the entrance mat.
I have never known dye to come out of a carpet in all my years of washing them. The grey carpet is colour fast and can be cleaned with a dilute bleach solution according to the manufacturer.
@@ibaisaic I don't doubt that, I was just wondering if it could be because of how clean the carpet looked and how black the water was. Usually it's dark brown but was black in the video but that could of been lighting.
Thanks for this review. I really wanted to see the hand tools in action though as I want to know which version to purchase, and Amazon isn't helpful at describing the difference in the hand tools from one option to the next
The machines are identical apart from the blue model comes with the additional spinscrub hand tool and some extra cleaning solutions. You can see what comes with each model on Vax’s website.
@@ibaisaic Thanks. I decided to get the blue one as it's only £20 more. I think that tool will help restore my fabric sofa.
@@ArcanePath360 hi I’m buying this machine now. Would you recommend it for upholstery?
@@sawley121 Yes it's pretty good. Doesn't quite get out heavy stains, but still good at overall cleaning.
Thank you for this video so helpful
I have this model. the bitt9m brushes won't clip up to the bottom tight. hangs about 2". any advice?
The brushes should move up and down when properly inserted. Make sure the spindle fits properly into the hole on the underside of the cleaner where the brush clips in.
I can't get the brushes out, how hard do i have to pull it or is there a certain angle or something??? Help me please 🙏🤔😘
Just hold it with both hands and pull upwards. It will be a bit hard to remove the first time.
@@ibaisaic upwards towards the front of the cleaner?
@@ibaisaic Thank you x
Pull it up and out out of the machine.
@@ibaisaic Got it, thanks again 😊😊😊
In the us this is a hoover power scrub elite pet carpet cleaner
How do you get the machine to pick up water whilst using the hose part please? Mine won't pick up unless I use the actual machine
If the hose is properly connected to the machine, the suction will be diverted through the hose and the solution will spray out of the nozzle at the end of the hose.
@@ibaisaic I can get the solution out of the hose but it doesn't seem to pick up until I take hose off and use the actual machine ;( .. thank you tho I will try again
Ive got a problem the water and solution arent really coming out mucb idk what to do can someone help me out
Hi I’m not sure whether to get this or the bissell proheat revolution, which would you recommend please?
I prefer the Bissell.
Great detailed video as usual. Have you tried the Bissell Pro heat? I don’t know which one to go for.
