Cure's Medivac crossing paths with Classic's Warp Prism had the same energy as 2 children simultaneously stealing from the cookie jar and silently agreeing to tell no one 😂
Eggy History of Brood One of the noun senses of brood that is often encountered today is "the children of a family" (as in "they showed up at the picnic with their whole brood"). This may seem as though it is unrelated to the most commonly used verb sense, which is "to think anxiously or gloomily about; ponder," but the two words come from the same source, the Old English brōd. The noun form of brood came first, and the verb, when it appeared in our language, was used to refer to the action of chickens sitting on their eggs. Eventually the verb began to be used in a figurative manner, and took on the "worriedly pondering" sense it has today.. Broodlords are daddy egg incubating baby flayers, hurling their broodlings at the monkey the people.
A few of the casters on youtube have a bit of an event going on this year. They are labeling a number of casts they do as "game of the year" because they think the matches are really good, and then at the end of the year they are going to go through all the various matches and decided which one was the best/the collective favourite out of all the ones they labelled. Winter talked about it in one of his earlier videos this yearn
Once it was 4vs4 workers, classic was way behind in economy and needed to go on the offensive. And it's very hard to defend with a death ball vs bio, since bio usually attacks at multiple fronts.
@@darksniper1n That was impossible for classic to do, since he retreated at the moment. So to defend the right bottom base (his only mining base), he would have retreated into a dead end. And based on how the fight went, he might have lost his army and base - instead of just the base. That would be a much shorter game.
20:00 should've been the decisive fight. It was likely toss game to lose at this point but it feels like he was uncertain what to do next, pulling back and defending with those disruptors or going for a win. Spectator's hindsight always 20/20 but he might still know he almost annihilated terran economy, and if he can hold one more attack it's over, no? The mistake was probably mining too far from the base, making it impossible to stretch and defend both sites and also allowing terran to leverage on their army surplus.
Im a masters zerg so im not even close to these players. Im 16 ball parks away from these players but heres my opinion. The disruptors are never actually intended to do damage. At this insane level of competition its much less a strategy game and more a game of forcing attention. Its the same as ravengers for zerg. You dont actually think your going to hit anything with your spray and pray of corrosive biles. Youre just forcing your opponent to put attention on moving his units. When hes moving his units they aren't attacking and hes not macroing back at home
@@Intensi0ns This does actually answer my question very well, thanks. I still posit that the unit needs a basic attack akin to the high templar, so that the user does not need to pay such close attention to their disruptors in order to keep them from simply wandering into enemies. It would be a small patch, but a huge quality of life change for players at all levels.
@ninjabreadman22 i think the immortal and the collusus both need buffs and the disruptor needs to be heavily nerfed. A game should not depend so heavily on a unit that 98% of the time misses. Its the same for widow mines. Window mines are the ultimate bullshit unit. When i lose to a tank push im like. Yep i didnt recognize it in time. I didnt prepare enough and didnt surround his tank line correctly and i lost. Yep thats fair. Widow mines and disruptors can change the entire game by looking away at the wrong time for 1 second and its just not fun.
@@Intensi0ns I couldn't agree more. I think mines would be fine if they simply never stealthed. Colossus are absurdly costed for how fragile and slow they are. I think a good buff would be to make them outspeed stim marines. They would win ground engagements and be extremely good at sieges(THEIR INTENDED PURPOSE!), but flying units would still dispatch them quite easily. Immortals are pretty good as they are, but it would be nice if they had a speed upgrade at the robo bay instead of observers, and observers simply got a speed buff
1st game I wasnt looking at the video was just listening to it in the background. Then I heard winter say "by minute 6 you already may even have your 4th base" cause he didnt even take the natural, and I thought it was a bronze league heroes game
Thats because it is. ZvT i think its as close to balanced as we will get because of banelings. Terran must pay attention to every flank because all it takes is 3 banelings getting through to make it all fall apart. But for tvp it just feels hopeless. A new patch is in the works that continues to try and remedy the situation but once again the same as last patch i think its going to miss the mark by a couple of inches
Terran is frustrating to play against, but actually the weakest race in the lower leagues. Terran can't take bases easily, so they typically rely on harrassment. If you invest in scouting and map control, split your army sensibly to intercept their attacks, and abuse mobility tech like nydus and recall; they can't do much against you. Terran is my weakest race, and the race I have the highest win rate against. I'm Platinum Zerg and Protoss. But Terran is very strong at a high level, because players have stronger macro and are more able to multitask and understand what the enemy is able to do. A Platinum league Terran can kill the enemy's workers at 1 base, but at the same time, they're typically floating 2000 minerals; wasting all their resources on turrets to defend against mutalisks or oracles; or unable to expand beyond 3 bases, so they just die to the counterattack. A Grandmaster Terran is able to macro and expand while they harrass, or execute an effective 2-pronged attack.
In this late game where it's coming to the end of the line isn't the goal to kill Supply enablers? I figure if you kill enough your opponent can't recover because it adds 100min to being able to build units or suffer being unable to make more anything?
Usually you have to stay busy defending, cant afford to poke out like that. Unless you're terran of course, they have quick fixes for everything from orbital command energy. The point where cure went down to 4 workers while classic still had 35 would have immediately been game over for toss or zerg.
.... That ending was certainly not game of the year... :'-( Just sad once Classic didn't take out that last orbital, and also Cure's splits were adequate not to lose massive chunks for a few minutes I guess. 2 upgrade adv. for Toss makes Terran seem pretty OP in that low eco situation. Also the decision making when Classic put his last Nexus down seemed questionable... just wandered forward to do nothing with no good vision to justify moving out that way. Also not defending your 50 probe lead at the end. WACK!
He earns that nickname by being a Terran player with notably flawed micro, thus making him relatable, but while also winning many of his games off the back of impressive macro, and build orders that, theoretically, other players can replicate at lower levels to improve their games.
