Thanks for sharing with us Richard. Security systems are really needed these days and stricter laws and more severe penalties for the criminals when caught. Stay safe around there and keep up the good work and video's. Fred.
We bought our current house 20+ years ago & every summer we had our cars broken into . About 7 years ago, we put up a bunch of security cameras & since then - not 1 break in !! You will really like them!! I also love looking at all the wild animals that move around our property too! lol. Good luck with them & hope they help to deter thieves & such!
Richard some people don’t understand why you use the commercial? It pays the bills! Keep doing what you do! Some people wouldn’t be happy if they lived in the lords front pocket! Did you keep your EMS license? Good luck enjoy your content.
I have a similar system and really like it. 16 channel NVR and 9 cameras. It came with 8 but got a 9th camera. That allows you to select the 9 camera view (3x3). That gives you a little bigger picture when viewing all the installed cameras (vs the 16 camera view). I have the NVR in another area of the house and have a TV in my study that just displays the cameras. I used a VGA network extender over Ethernet to display the cameras on the TV. So you don’t have to have all the camera wires running into the study. Now days a camera system like this is almost a requirement. The 60 foot cables are Ethernet cables but they carry the video and power (POE - power over Ethernet).
Good on you Mr. Richard for wanting to protect what is yours. Suggestions. Take this video 'down' and remove all footage and/or mention of your valuables. Having these 'toys' featured on the Internet gives criminals a shopping list if they choose to come onto your property to steal. Camoflauge your cameras so criminals won't know they are being surveilled if they are on your property with evil intent. Place one camera at a low angle looking up as to have a better chance of capturing a burglar's face on camera to identify them better. Install an IR alarm so you know when someone is driving up your road. Yes, an animal will trip the alarm from time-to-time. It's better to have some false alarms then to not know if someone is coming up your road. At the bottom of your road post a burglar alarm sign (not the security system you are using). This will deter some potential thieves. Your tractor will have a fuse that if it is removed the tractor will not start. Whenever you leave the property remove the fuse so the tractor cannot be driven onto a trailer and stolen. Any other valuables small enough to carry should be secured when you leave the property. Make a check list and carry it in your wallet so you won't forget to do these actions before you leave the property. It's a good idea to make the acquaitance of your County's sheriff and as many of the deputies as you can. If they know you they will be more inclined to be thorough in their investigation if you are broken into. It's good that you have dogs. Train them to be aggressive with strangers. The military uses defense in depth to protect FOBs and other important installations. It works. Always carry at least one protection device on you on and off the property and be prepared to use it. These are just some thoughts I had on your security situation. I enjoy your channel and appreciate all the hard work that goes into producing the content. God Bless and Good Fortune to you always.
Sorry but i agree too! I understand this helps you pay the bills. But also don’t forget we are here because we enjoy watching what you are doing and that is why we are here! And not a full video of just commercial’s!
Peter, to my knowledge there has only been two recently. Sorry if that has increased “recently” and upset you. There are no more to be made that I know just in case you were wondering. Thank you for following. We truly do appreciate you. -Jennifer
Hello from the Netherlands . a video tip : always block all numbers and QR codes in such video's because I come with my phone to scan the QR code from the video and if you had linked the camera system to the internet I could now log in from the Netherlands and watch. because I already thought this would work that's why I tried it and put the app on the phone via the QR code and the app really tried to connect but the camera is not online via the internet. so be very careful with that in your videos please because I wasn't out to find out your data or to actually watch it live but it would have worked if your system had been online. the big bad outside world is watching with you, be aware of that! thanks for the video . Sincerely, Hollandduck
If you don’t like the sponsored part you can fast forward through it. I love the content on this channel and if the commercial part gets more then I’d like I’ll just forward through it. No big deal.
Its too bad that we cant get rid of people like this and lock them up forever and throw away the key! Good luck bro! My ax is still great and cutting good
Glad you have security. Maybe some thieves monitor your channel and now will know to skip over your place cause they may be caught, but then I could watch that video! LOL 🤣😅🤣 Keep up the good work. Love love your channel. God Bless! 🙏🙏❤❤
Interesting. Off grid yet has internet access to a wired security camera system. Does the company have access to the videos? Does the system require a subscription?
Yes we have inet to upload videos but that’s all we use it for. We don’t pay for surveillance. I’m sure they can hook you up if interested. We just wanted video footage when we are gone.
@@SmokyMountainOutpost Thank you. So, the security system requires a subscription to receive alerts and live video feeds over the internet using an app? Does the company have access to the videos it sends to the app and/or live video feeds? because that is a concern. We currently use reolink security cameras. They're wireless, solar charged and use the cell network to transmit alerts, live video feeds with sound and are remotely pan controlled using an app.
I’m not sure. I don’t need surveillance and didn’t check into anything they offered other than being able to video when we are gone. You can visit their website for details if interested.

Ok, I had to laugh at the front pocket comment. If that isn’t the truth though. He did not keep his license, I tried to get him to though. -Jennifer

you're welcome
Very nice system.
My first impression was that they need to have darker camera cases so that the cameras do not stand out.
They could be darker, I agree.

You can plug the HD into into your TV on the back and check your cameras on your TV
Absolutely!
Love this channel. FYI the initial graphic says "welcome to the hometead"
I know every Once in a while something slips through that’s not correct
Nice
Thanks!
It's a crying shame you might need the security! Be Safe!
It is. But we pray things stay good.
We have a system similar to yours and in addition we have Solar Powered Cameras that are wireless.
Nice! Where did you get those, Kathy?
We bought both systems from Amazon. The Solar Wireless was about $129.00 each.

good video i think every body needs them and needs to have guns. take care, be safe and well.
Absolutely! Thanks. You too!
Can that be hook up to a TV to view?
I showed that in the video where and how it hooks up towards the end
Can you see what's going using your smartphone by bluetooth?
I think I'd camouflage the cameras so they aren't obvious and end up being stolen.
Good idea, Tim.
👋😁😊
Thanks!
WELCOME TO THE "HOMETEAD"?
Accident, lol. Hope all is well, Paul!
