You make a good point, with all the classes i'm taking I've been ignoring my health, eating crap food not exercising. I am going to start trying to start my day off with some form of stretching or exercising, thanks man!
Hey Ziggy! It's good to hear that you're working towards improving yourself. I noticed that there were comments suggesting you do more of a balanced workout. There are a few home-friendly exercises that I would definitely suggest such as tricep dips and pull-ups/chin-ups. Pull-up bars are relatively cheap and allow for a multitude of exercises. Also, alternating between reverse, wide, and narrow grip while doing your curls will help work different parts of the bicep, effectively helping stave off plateus and bring about more balanced results. You're videos are the best. Keep it up! Link to dips example - www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/detail/view/name/bench-dips
Pretty good! Not 100% success but I've been doing both excercise sessions fairly often and feeling a lot better for it! This month I've been trying to break a bad habit instead - nail biting. It's going well I'll talk about it pretty soon ;)
Hi Ziggy - suggestion: instead of doing very isolated exercises like biceps curl, you should try out more full-body exercises like pull-ups, squat, etc. This will activate way more muscle groups, which is important if you want to keep it within the 10min time range. Keep them gaming muscles up ;o)
Yeah, I do squats, pushups, crunches, lunges and a series of other things in the morning session. I can potentially add more things into the evening sessions though. Know anything else good with a barbell?
ZiggyD Gaming Best full-body exercise with a barbell must be Thrusters - combining deep squats with shoulder press. Think it is a cross-fit exercise - search for tutorials since the technique is a bit demanding but it really activates a lot of different muscles.
When you first introduced the twelve positive habits, I made the new years resolution that I would become a big youtube channel.Ever since I have been diligently working on content for my videos. I am a pipecleaner artist, a philosopher, and a writer. In my youtube videos I read my original stories, I show my pipecleaner art, and I share interesting views that I believe are either not thought about very often, or even not at all by the majority of people. So Far I have created 59 videos, and I have a nice small following of subscribers who love my content so far. It's a good start I think! Recently I have been working on ways to make my youtube channel more refined like making custom thumbnails, and working on playlists to make seeing my different type of content easier, and making the titles more easy to tell what type of playlist I should put each video in. If any of you would like to check out my youtube channel, it would be much appreciated. Oh and thank you ZiggyD for being an inspiration to me, and in a way being one of the main reasons I started making the videos I make today.
I wouldn't exercise right after eating. You will feel heavy and slow after stuffing yourself with dinner, plus if you engage your abs in any way you will feel like puking very fast. Best practice is to wait at least an hour after eating before you do any training. I don't feel like dinner is the best option to tie doing weights into, more like a reminder - I supplied my body with energy, I'm gonna wait any hour to process it and then use it for greater cause. :D
Alrighty, that sounds pretty fair! I'll either set a time after eating or maybe tag it onto something before dinner (maybe after walking my dog of the evening?)
ZiggyD Gaming That is a good option as well - if you exercise before dinner you will have more appetite, so there is that added value too. :) Experiment! ^^
Hey ZiggyD! You should try pilates. I know it sounds silly and it is for girls... But I have been working out regularly for about 4-5 years and I am pretty good athlete overall. But I have tried pilates myself and it is harder than you would think. So if you want to try something new, just look up some beginner workouts on RUclips. I had to dig deep to finish the workout. Good luck and have fun
My morning routine is based on the first 10 minutes of my old Aikido classes (with some other stuff thrown in). It has some similarities to pilates actually.
Every time I see that fallout bobble head I just get really annoyed that I didn't get the special edition of fallout and go to check Ebay for one and realise that if I do they are going to cost like 30 billion euros.
I eat more that I should for my current activity level, I'd like to tone that back and improve certain aspects of my diet. And yeah, as I mentioned in the video not looking get big, happy to start with losing a little weight and toning up.
You shouldn't do the same exercises every night, especially if you start upping the weights at some point. Your body needs some time to recover. So you can do like upper body one day and lower body the next and alternate like that. Less chance of hurting yourself that way!
Sounds like a good idea! I'll do 2 on 1 off or something like that to mix it up. I think as long as I do something in that time slot it'll maintain the habit though!
Change your diet if you want to lose fat and feel more healthy, training is good but a good diet and sleep is way more important. Otherwise keep it up! Gamers can be healthy too ;)
yaaay Monday Musings are back! :)

Yay! it's back, really awesome habbits (: ty Ziggy

Good stretching and cardio when you wake up in the morning? be a morning horndog and put a smile on your ladies face... burns calories!!

How could someone dislike this vid? D:
Don't work out after eating, Ziggy. It's kind of bad-ish for you. Workout BEFORE you eat and you'll be feeding maximum protein to your muscles!
Just wondering, have you changed your diet at all? You really won't see much gains unless you eat like a warrior.
