Very true actually. There is no way someone at Ford said "hey lets name our new ELECTRIC SUV a mustang" just doesnt make sense other than to get attention, which is working.
I'm a first time ford owner. Got my 4 banger mid last year. I've done some stuff to it but not near as much as others 😕 this one dude has his at 760 whp
I don't like the Mach-E being called a Mustang either. However I think what Ford was trying to do was create a more performance division of Ford. I think Ford wanted to build off one of its most known name plates. Dodge has RAM and SRT and GM has GMC. They still could have renamed it after the defunct Thunderbird (Thunder/Lightning)and tied it into it being an electric vehicle however instead of Mustang.
Or rather they're just putting a beloved name on a controversy SUV in Hope's the name will drive its sales instead of calling it the Mach-Explorer, or Mach-Expedition, or Mach-Edge, or even the Mach-Escape....
Lol at the Ford probe! My first car was a baby blue probe gt (v6 mazda, basically) that I "bought" from my mom by paying for the transmission rebuild. Two months later, Rodney came knocking. 😅
Was raised by ford fanatics. And while i am in love with both jdm and euro cars, the mustang will always hold a place in my heart. - the mustang two obviously🤣
Although I have 02 v6 newedge. I love it. It looks great lowerd. Even on some lowering springs and some aftermarket wheels. Then there is the fact its somewhat easy to swap the engine. With coyote for relatively cheep. If you can do it yourself. Its much cheaper than buying a new mustang.
IDGAF what people say. I freakin love mustangs because they look sexy, affordable and make crazy power when tuned or boosted. They're the best bang for the buck
I may not like mustangs due to their prevalence around my area, but it says a lot that my end goal is to be able to race 5.0's in my little honda. They're the benchmark in a lot of places and undoubtedly rich with heritage and history. A well built one is absolutely stunning too.
And also as a side note people buy the 4-cylinder Mustang just because they want the Mustang look not everybody wants a bunch of horsepower some people just want the styling
Look as brought out in this video there has definitely been ups and downs through out the years of the mustang *cough* *cough* Mustang Mach E *cough* but there was also been A TON OF UPSIDES. For example RUNNING 7S in the quarter mile with a UNOPENED block, and the new 2020 gt500 that can make 1100hp on the stock fuel system and a unopened engine, tune port the blower and a pulley and some e85 BAM 1100whp. Also Foxboddys being one of the best platforms for (dig) street racing. Also the mustang is one of the most versatile build platforms ever and can be used in stuff like Drifting, auto cross and drag racing. So I will always love them (as long as they are powered by Gas) regardless of the hate because to me there is nothing quite like them.
Used to exclusively appreciate muscle cars, ended up getting an Ecoboost because I was 17 and didn’t know anything about cars, and wounded up surrounded with friends who drive tuners and stanced Japanese cars. Now I own an STI. I wasn’t exposed to a dreadful amount of 4cyl mustang hate but even going through comments, forums, etc it’s just such a crap community. There’s definitely some nice people who I’ve connected with but the negativity outweighs. I didn’t personally slide the car more than twice in a year of ownership but I’ve seen enough stereotypical owners that I never felt bad about the hate they get, even when I still had mine. My GF’s family recently moved to my state and her sister’s husband is a mustang meat head who has no filter and thinks his opinion is ultimate. I used to tell myself “even though I’m stepping into jdm territory, eventually I want a v8” but if I’m around this dude long enough I might reconsider lol
Pls don’t let him riconsiderate v8 mustang i grew up among jdm cars, but i have never loved a car so much as a mustang v8.. unfortunately too obsessed people you find it in all areas for example for a period I hated the same cars with which I lived together, because of the new moda of the jdm etc. as the 12 year olds who think that the supra is the best car of the world t but i would never let them (the kind of people i hate) be the reason why i wouldn't buy a supra, i mean if you would like to have a nice american v8, don't let a muscle car addict change your mind with his thoughts
The Mustang is one of my favorite cars. Looking at getting either a 2004 Mustang Mach 1, 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra, 2015 Mustang GT, 2015 V6 Mustang, Nissan Silvia S14, Early 2000’s Camaro, Infiniti G37 coupe, or Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The Mustang & 240sx are definitely my favorites though
I saw a orange mustang with Dark purple rims ...I love when people match like Basketball teams colors ...I wish to see a baby blue mustang with dark blue rims but I haven’t
I own the 17 gt and love it, the only reason I've never been a fan of American made cars is the lack of reliability. The MT-82 is just so uncomfortable to shift you need better fluid and a trans mounted Barton to enjoy it again. They need to get the engineering of the drive train right again with no ticks or bad manuals then make it last 200k with regular oil changes and it'll be a crowd pleaser again. Still love mine tho despite the issues it still makes me smile.
God bless Mustangs. Fell in love with them when I was a kid, purchased that same one I fell in love with 4 months ago, and look forward to owning other various Mustangs in the future! Technically speaking though, even my '06 Mustang GT is put to immense shame compared to today's V8 standards haha. She only makes 300hp with a 4.6L v8! Quite atrocious when compared to similar vehicles of today! Haha
@@ellsworthconstructionllc then why do the Brits love the focus and mustang so much and the Australians the Mondeo. Ford gt is a le mans ledgend. Sorry man.
My hate comes from Ford Dealership service. I purchased a 2018 GT with an extended factory warranty through 100k Miles and with Prepaid maintenance for 3 years. My first visit, my car was gone for 3 days for its first service (Oil change, tire rotation, filters etc) - no loaner. Then had a water leak from the rear window seal into the backseat...Car was out of my hands for another 21 days. Next visit, described a few other minor issues and how to replicate them exactly and the last dealership just ignored my asks and said they couldn't find anything. I will NEVER spend a decent amount of money with Ford again, knowing how their dealership network provides service once they have your $$$. This was all in under 6 months. I sold it and bought a 2017 Camaro 2SS.

My aunt let me ride in her mustang when i was 3,my grandma had a 65 mustang than my uncle had before he died and my grandpa on my dad's side had a 70s mustang next door,i simply just grew up around the car, kinda made me want one
This seems like the perfect video for a "So You Want A Fox-Body" request 🙏🍻
To be fair the 3.7L Cyclone V6 was a pretty awesome engine.
Yea but it still sounds like trash. In its defense 99% of v6s sound like trash
“So you want a z31 300zx?”♯82
🙏🏻
The Foxbody 2.3 boosted Lima 4cyl was a good motor. The stock bottom ends are good for 400whp stock.
Man forget the hate I love my 89 Probe
I had a 4cyl 90 lx, not an svo either... also had an 87 5.0 and now a 07 Gt premium. Needless to say i avoid crowds at all cost....
Intro reminds me of the Up to Speed episode. Great video FI fam
Your take on the Mach-E is spot on. It resembles the Escape more than the mustang.
Ecoboost stangs are cool 😎, the HPP adds so much to it
One video that would be great to do is the pros and cons of each type of air suspension fitment. Id imagine that certain fitment types affect drivability
Like might need to stretch for fender to lip, run camber. That type of thing
I love mustangs no matter the hate they get I want another one
If they ain't hating you're doing something wrong.
Naming the mach e "mustang" was brilliant marketing, because here we are talking about it. 🤣
Very true actually. There is no way someone at Ford said "hey lets name our new ELECTRIC SUV a mustang" just doesnt make sense other than to get attention, which is working.
Finally! Mustang stuff!
I love my 2017 mustang v6 with 300hp it is sweet
The title sounds like something Doug would say.
anyways
dAy 32 of aSKinG Fitment Industries to mAkE a "So You Want a 260rs (RB26 powered wagon)"
I’d have preferred Galax-E but what can you do?
They could call it the Ford BBC cuck and if it’s a great car, I’d still want it.
Gotta remember coyote swap is a 10 grand swap if it goes well and you can do the work yourself, coyotes in the 2011+ are low teens now
@@mercury0214 2011+ are also fatter and heavier. Than the new edge. Also looks better than some of the newer mustangs in my opinion.
My body had a 90's mustang in high-school and I remember having to give him rides almost daily because it was clapped out
And also as a side note people buy the 4-cylinder Mustang just because they want the Mustang look not everybody wants a bunch of horsepower some people just want the styling
The look on every mustang owners face when i gap them with my 15 year old e55.
Lol no you dont
Wait nvm i stand corrected im retarded and read that as e36
@@sbowley3964 i'm sure anything 11+ tuned is showing off their tail lights to this man
@@kennyg4143 not sure if it was tuned but i have beat a 19 gt. it is a sc 5.4
Pls don’t let him riconsiderate v8 mustang
i grew up among jdm cars, but i have never loved a car so much as a mustang v8..
unfortunately too obsessed people you find it in all areas
for example for a period I hated the same cars with which I lived together, because of the new moda of the jdm etc. as the 12 year olds who think that the supra is the best car of the world t
but i would never let them (the kind of people i hate) be the reason why i wouldn't buy a supra, i mean if you would like to have a nice american v8, don't let a muscle car addict change your mind with his thoughts
I love my s550 so much. I would never want to get rid of it.
When I heard they were turning the Mustang into a sedan I was kinda confused then.
This is like wtf?
The Mustang is one of my favorite cars. Looking at getting either a 2004 Mustang Mach 1, 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra, 2015 Mustang GT, 2015 V6 Mustang, Nissan Silvia S14, Early 2000’s Camaro, Infiniti G37 coupe, or Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The Mustang & 240sx are definitely my favorites though
Get the 2015 gt
“With a a HUGEE v8” it’s like the smallest displacement small block muscle care there is
Yeah the 289 was very small compared to the big blocks of that Era.
What's the need for a huge V8 when Ford's made a great 5.0L V8 that efficiently squeezes out good power?
I saw a orange mustang with Dark purple rims ...I love when people match like Basketball teams colors ...I wish to see a baby blue mustang with dark blue rims but I haven’t
The reason is because every fam boy with a base mustang thinks it’s the same as a GT350 or GT500
We just got a 18 5.0 and it’s sick muffler deleted to
i like mustangs ngl
Love my 2017 stang and I’ll always love mustangs here on in STANGS
Me with my crowd killer 😂
Mustang is like a civic or a supra or a skylines 'LEGEND AND NEVER GETS OLD'
Now we wait for corn bread to show up
Love my 93 lx. I AM V8 swapping it though. That 2.3l is just worn out.
The 2.3 shoulda never been put in a mustang fox or not. Good for you v8 swapping it
Dakota please tell Alex to do a So you want a BMW E63 M6 video. Its about time. This is day 24.
Also hi I love you :)
Maybe people are jealous of the Stang.🤔🤔🤔
Day 9 of asking "So you want an F82 BMW M4 coupe"
I own the 17 gt and love it, the only reason I've never been a fan of American made cars is the lack of reliability. The MT-82 is just so uncomfortable to shift you need better fluid and a trans mounted Barton to enjoy it again. They need to get the engineering of the drive train right again with no ticks or bad manuals then make it last 200k with regular oil changes and it'll be a crowd pleaser again. Still love mine tho despite the issues it still makes me smile.
Imagine a 6.2L supercharged V8 in a mustang What are your thoughts
Sounds pretty awesome 👍🏾
The only 6.2 I wanna see in a mustang is the Boss v8 (gen 1 raptor engine)
Well there is a supercharged 5.2 predator in the 2020 GT500 producing a factory 760HP
Aint noting wrong with the American JDM Ecoboost! Highest one makes 805whp and still plenty of room to go higher!
at the age of 7 this was the only car I knew by name😂
My dad got the 2012 premium with the coyote 5.0 v8 it’s not bad inside with leather and a 6speed manual
Day 39 of asking for "So you want a VW Passat W8".
Haha
When someone says AMERICA ,MUSTANG comes in my mind
Nah bro, Corvette
@@Star_Taro nah man. Ford GT's and dodge vipers 😁
@@floof4444 viper is and international legend ford not so much get off the gas nobody cares for ford around the world
@@ellsworthconstructionllc then why do the Brits love the focus and mustang so much and the Australians the Mondeo. Ford gt is a le mans ledgend. Sorry man.
I drive a 2017 3.7 manual and I love it. Pulls like a 3V while giving me way better fuel economy.
3.7 great motor but sounds goofy as hell. I have yet to hear a good sounding v6
"Mustangs are way too common and unoriginal" - dude in a straight piped Z
Day 51 of asking for a "so you want a Toyota matrix xrs"
Do you really want one tho? No hate, just curious, those cars never caught my eye
@@Vnzdriver they don't look like much but I actually have one already and it is awesome. I'm really just curious what they have to say about it.
I love my mustang GT. You are SPOT ON with the Mach E.... NOT A MUSTANG! Headed to the mustang rally in Sturgis this year. Can't wait! Anyone else going?
"So you want a Acura legend"
My eco HPP gets a lot of hate. But it blends my love of all the car scenes. It's like a rice burner muscle car, and I wouldn't change that for the world. Hahaha
I just picked up a velocity blue eco hpp. I love it!!
@@Akapaco2 Sure it isn't as fast as a GT but it's putting down the power. Heck I can drift it some and that's more than good enough for me. Haha
