These are really helpful for me. Loved this game when it was out originally and I played when the servers became public but still never got to max level or fully explored all of the game's content. You and wednesdaywoe are helping me to do that, thanks!

BTW, lately I’ve found that sometimes Mids doesn’t show the effects of a power that is based on enemies nearby unless you actually move the slider for number of targets. I know it used to just say “0%” or whatever, but now it can sometimes be completely blank until you make targets greater than 0. 🤷‍♂️ That’s the case here.
Shifting Tides specifically on a Corruptor shows +2.5% Recharge, +1.2% ToHit, and +2.4% Damage per enemy in the radius. Thus, at 10 targets (which I believe is max), team members will gain +25% Recharge, +12% ToHit, and +24% damage. Not bad… 😊 Remember that Marine Affinity is literally a “Flood the Zone” type of power set. It does a little bit of everything, and it all stacks up to make your team into an unstoppable force. Additionally, it means that if any of your buffs are countered, there’s usually 3-4 other buffs that are still trucking along just fine, maintaining steamroll mode. 😁👍

They have added a lot of features, but I don't follow the program's development closely enough to know what that are or how to use them all. I find the interface is terribly unintuitive, regardless. But, hey, it's free!

For years (okay, over a decade...yeesh, I can actually say that) I avoided IO's because I thought a character could get by with just SO's...until around a year or so when I started really looking into IO's, or more importantly - IO's that provide 'procs'. Now I can't think of making a character without factoring in IO's because of how much procs can change how a character works.
Example: Want to make a character who spews acid? There's no powerset for it, but if you think about it...acid is, for the most part, fluid so water blast would fit thematically. Next is to find a way to give the powers that you use a chance to inflict DR reduction representing the acid's capacity to weaken the target's overall integrity. Aqua Bolt, Whirlpool, Dehydrate, Water Jet, and Steam Spray all have -Def. Any power with -Def can be slotted with Achilles Heel Defense Debuff IO Set...which has a DR reduction proc in the set. Color your powerset some sort of sickly green color and voila! You now have a character that can spray acid in various temperature degrees and areas of coverage. Not too sure how you could explain how Dehydrate works like acid, but...meh, that's a detail I'll leave to others..

      IOs make builds truly customizable.
The game's flexibility with crafting and costumes allows for just about any concept to be viable.

Some more gimmicks on the marine affinity side is that it isn’t apparent that the absorb shield on barrier reef double stacks.
I don’t think you’ll have any endurance issues with putting toroidal bubbles on auto. I do like the two set bonus in unbreakable guard for the endurance discount if you just need to seperate your drain from recovery a bit more.
I’ll be interested in seeing how you enjoy power of the depths, it might cap your hitpoints with all of the heal IO’s.
Also curious how this plays with so much knockback slotted.
My mids tip is to go into windows and select power graphs. Then select powers taken. It’ll bring up a chart of what you might want to focus on.
Air stream didn’t work for me with a damage set since the damage is so low to begin with, so I slotted it all with procs, including KB>KD. Coz sometimes storm cell was a bit too slow to keep up with steamrolling.

I'll have to play around with the set more. I have a couple controller combo ideas I'd like to test.

Storm and Marine are two of the more complicated sets to navigate in Mids. Lol

@daguru119 I think that's a symptom of Homecoming design philosophy. New sets are more gimmicky than original sets.

would strongly suggest you drop air superiority (you don't need it with storm) and drop boxing and pick up tough and weave. Also drop school of sharks and use Hibernate as your "Oh Hell No" when you get over whelmed.

Thanks for the suggestions. Once I play him for real, I'll be able to make final decisions.
