To be honest I was preparing for the worst but also liked that he explained his reasoning why he wanted to originally go with five but also found a way to go with seven and his concept of splitting them into units is actually quite ingenious (although it has been done before) I do believe this group has the potential to really be outstanding. I hope he utilizes all of them well because he really does have a baby mons7er on his hands 👏👏👏👏
That's what he did with his past groups too hahahah iKON and Winner, he put them in two groups because fans were demanding for Team B (iKON) to debut too, so he made another survival show, Mix And Match, then debuted all 7 members as iKON. With Treasure, in the beginning, YG was going for 5 but it wasn't permanent because he changed it to 7 members, and as expected, the final ended with 7 members, but because of fans camping and demanding on YG's websites and platforms, they came up with a sub-group with 6 members, Magnum. That was the original plan after that announcement, 7 Treasure members and 6 Magnum members being subgroups, doing individual activities then come together as Treasure13 for the concerts and events. But before that debut, one left, so they decided to merged into one group as TREASURE as 12 members. So I think that's what YG has in mind for Asa and Rora too, but because of fan's demanding, they included Asa and Rora in Baby Monster. Like I said on Twitter, they listen to fans every time when fans demanding, when it comes to debuting their groups. But when it comes to line distributions, that's the music producers choice of choosing and considering which member fits to which, you saw the behind the scene with Baby Monster like how Choice37 changed the line from Pharita with the line "gone-ah-ah-gone" part, when he gave that line to Ahyeon instead. You should understand it's best for the members and the work process. So they don't have to listen to us with all that line distribution complaints because they know what's best for their groups. And the promotions, yes, I understand that fans want them to be promoted the best way as possible for the groups, BUT the company has THEIR own ways of promoting the groups, we just don't understand their kind of promoting their groups. They know exactly what they're doing but it's just different from how fans wanted it to be, that's all. About Korean Variety Shows, that's not the idols' companies decision to just bring their artists to that show, it's the entertainment's incitement. Treasure didn't get to go on shows like Running Man, Knowing Bros, etc., is because they weren't invited from the Korean entertainment industries. I hope that their next comeback, they will get invited by those shows, they deserve it.

And esp as when i first watched the very first performance videos i too though 7 members were too many with this much individual talent, because I don't listen to much K-pop other then BlackPink and some G-Idle, i've tried it but, maybe it's the broken English, or that my introduction was K/DA, not much gelled with me. But as i watched the introduction videos, as we saw the Last evaluation episodes and the behind the scenes, i really got like a paternal bond with each of them and wanted them to succeed. Even if I end up not liking their songs because maybe they will target a teenage audience and I'm 35, i will listen to EVERY group song, EVERY solo and any division he comes up with like he mentioned. I was so relieved when he pulled up the second board I had to go grab deodorant....
