I love how we gradually see the iconic moments come in. Homestar runner has defined a generation of internet comedy and still remains to be as iconic as it did back during the 2000’s. I feel with the absence of flash we no longer have a continuing legacy of this time when the internet was still fun.
I haven't seen this is YEARS!!! God I miss how the internet used to be, the quality and voices are nostalgic in a lot of ways. Also too if you're here for THAT reason, here's a timestamp 1:28:11 for one of the most iconic episodes from the series. Basically the one everybody remembers.
I'm only 30 minutes in and I've never watched these before. How does someone even type with boxing gloves? I'm sure it gets addressed at some point. Edit: ...
I want to thank you for making this compilation. H*R is one of the fondest memories I have from my adolescence and onward, continuing to show me that you can still maintain a kind of innocence through adulthood if you're lucky enough to. I have a kid now and I put this on for him. He has had a trogdor poster in his room since he was one. Yesterday he said "holy crap" in a strongbad voice for the first time, imitating me as best he could. I really can't express just how stabilizing it has been to be able to pull up a 10 hour video, jump to literally any spot, and know I am going to end up with a smile on my face.
Thank you for this ❤ I loved how we could interact with the computer AE like adjust the brightness or click on certain things. When we were ahead of our times! Amazing memories ❤❤❤
homestarrunner was such a huge part of my life in highschool. its bittersweet watching them now as my friend group have all moved on in life. i sometimes wonder if they comeback to old videos and remember me like i remember them. i miss you all and im sorry
Thats exactly the stupid, painstaking, nerdy thing I would do. Unfortunately, I'm a bit torn. I kind of want the views to go to the creators instead. They last released a video this week. I want them to know how much support they have. I'm hoping we'll see how this pans out. I'd like the creators to get the video claimed and it remain up, but any profit and copyright go to them, especially as it's a rip from the DVD set. Kind of awkward right now- not mad, but conflicted.
@@hotaru8309 The problem is, some of the email rips they shared on RUclips didn’t include bonus scenes, which were Easter eggs for clicking on something while the cartoon was still playing.
@@Che8t the name was in a SBemail and then a few months later used in the song, not just used in the song. After those two occurrences, the name is referenced 9 more times. I'd definitely qualify that as a running gag.
First appearance of Fhqwgads was in the email I Love You, followed by Everybody To The Limit, the email sibbie, Dancin' Bubs, main page 22, email What I Want, Weekly Fanstuff, email Fan Club, Homestar Ruiner, Strong Badia The Free, and finally Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 17.2
Y'know, you can really just kinda *hear* how the voice acting and see how the visual style changed over the years just by watching through these. It really makes you appreciate what we have nowadays.
My favorite aspect is all the self- referencing. Like how Limozeen was invented, then featured, and then used at the end of 100's congratulations montage. Or "is that some kind of robot " used in #1 and then later for 20X6 vs. 1936
In 2002 56 sbemails were released. From 2007 to 2022 46 have been released. Kind of crazy that more sbemails came out in 2002 alone than have come out in the last 15 years!
That's because starting around 2007, the Brothers Chaps started having other obligations kept them from working nearly as much on Homestar Runner. First it was their licensed Telltale game Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, then they became parents, and both of them now work professionally in children's TV.
i've been watching for almost 20 years now. i still get the same enjoyment out of these as I did when I was around 3 or 4. thank you Homestar Runner for raising a nerd. i am forever grateful
the fact that sbemails helped shape nearly half of all the references in h*r is just amazing. i really do love this series, and i can’t believe i’m now doing my second rewatch of this.
man i remember grabbing these videos offline (somehow) and putting them on my Ipod to watch at lunch. what a wild roundabout way to have Homestar on the go in the mid 00’s
Same - I remember the Brothers Chaps uploading a bunch of their best sbemails and uploading them as a sort of video podcast. Used to watch episodes during marching band practice back in HS!
3:00:32 "Skiwt"... (skirt)... It's hilarious that homestar is trying to sound like a macho, intimidating drill sergeant despite having the speech impediment of a toddler 😂
I love how the SBLOUNCHSKED! song is the most replayed part by far. Also, how did 6:02:39 age so well? It's aged better than at the time! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!
Watching these are still funny after 15 or 20 years. Only drawback is not being to play with all the Easter eggs. True comedy. Personally I still believe I am the reason for the Coffee email. I wrote that out and the email was very reminiscent of what I asked. It was worth it
Born in 2003 when this was at it's peak popularity. I watched a few of these years ago and thought they were kinda funny, I came across this and the other compilation videos and now I have them all memorized by heart.
This has been watched over a quarter-million times in the span of a year or more. That's really a testament to just how classic and integral these dumb cartoons are
Each video needs a brief pause at the end when the paper descends so we can see the mouse cursor searching the screen for one more Easter egg to click.
This shows older than me, so my dad was showing me these a few days ago. I only watched a few with him, so I’m glad to be doing it on my own. (I also just genuinely enjoy Homestar runner lmao)
It’s actually very frightening to me how influential these ten hours of flash content were on my entire personality for the larger part of my life.
Truth. I still quote Strong Bad all the time, and use the word “burninate” in conversation.
"He's got the heart of a champion!" -- Something I say at work way too much and only one of my employees understands.
Here I am 20 years later, still doing poor strong bad and carriage impersonations and being the only one to laugh at them.
I slip into Cardgage voice probably daily

Man I keep wanting to click the screen for the Easter eggs 😅 thank you for compiling all of these man!
1:17:42 “Toons! Games! E-mails!” That sure takes me back 😂
I want to thank you for making this compilation.
43:18 when he cracks up but stays in character kills me
hahaha yeah!!! like at 6:11:38 as well, lol
I can't remember where but I could heard him say goddamnit in one of the early ones
homestarrunner was such a huge part of my life in highschool. its bittersweet watching them now as my friend group have all moved on in life. i sometimes wonder if they comeback to old videos and remember me like i remember them. i miss you all and im sorry

Someone should do the timecodes for when a running gag first started (Homsar, fhqwgads, Teen Girl Squad, etc.)
I wouldn't consider fhqwgads a running gag. It was a one time joke they made a music video about and then never again.
10 sbhours of sbemail sbontent? i know what i'm falling asleep to tonight
Y'know, you can really just kinda *hear* how the voice acting and see how the visual style changed over the years just by watching through these. It really makes you appreciate what we have nowadays.
you make it sound like we're still getting strong bad emails
Well, the older Homestar designs didn’t debut on Strong Bad Emails, but his later design did.
My favorite aspect is all the self- referencing. Like how Limozeen was invented, then featured, and then used at the end of 100's congratulations montage.
Or "is that some kind of robot " used in #1 and then later for 20X6 vs. 1936
I don't. Thendays is where it will always be at. For serious.
@@poudink5791 A new one dropped about a month ago.
Thanks for posting this. I had totally forgotten about Strongbad! This is great a time capsule from back before the internet destroyed the world.
i've been watching for almost 20 years now. i still get the same enjoyment out of these as I did when I was around 3 or 4. thank you Homestar Runner for raising a nerd. i am forever grateful
I've watched this video all.the way through legitimately 2 or more times
I searched for exactly this, praying against all reason that it existed. But you delivered, and I am forever thankful.
One thing about sbemails: we never ever see him hit "send." He just writes on his computer and then it ends.
Probably not on screen, but he prefers receiving them.
As it should be
I mean he already responds with these episodes so he doesn’t really need to send the email now.
All of the first 200 sbemail, in one place....you truly have done the Lord's work here.
"Creeping. Rusty. Meat. Truly the heart and Soul of all Death Metal."
Creeping Rusty Meat. The name of my first metal band.
That's a good band name.
Ladies and gentlemen: the Monty Python of internet comedy.
"I thought it would naturally attract oiled-up Bill Cosby."
Oh no.
Yeaaaah, that aged like a fine milk
Where did he say that?
Up there with Matthew being protective of his Gary Glitter tapes on Sooty and Co.
@@robbiewalker2831 9:01:27 "winter pool"; aka "the swimming pool filled with jello one"
@@voxalice1 Of course Homestar would say something that stupid.
the fact that sbemails helped shape nearly half of all the references in h*r is just amazing. i really do love this series, and i can’t believe i’m now doing my second rewatch of this.
man i remember grabbing these videos offline (somehow) and putting them on my Ipod to watch at lunch. what a wild roundabout way to have Homestar on the go in the mid 00’s
Back when Limewire and underground downloads ruled. Yuuup
Same - I remember the Brothers Chaps uploading a bunch of their best sbemails and uploading them as a sort of video podcast. Used to watch episodes during marching band practice back in HS!
Gotta love the bit of continuity in "Montage" about the printer being replaced in SBemail #173. Didn't actually think they'd follow up on it!
One of my all-time favorite youtube videos. No com-pe-ti-tion
43:21 Gotta love how he breaks up trying to explain. :)
I wonder if that was genuine or a really good fake laugh.
@@emotiface I feel like maybe Matt Chapman broke up a bit because he realised the unintentional pun with "briefly"
3:00:32 "Skiwt"... (skirt)... It's hilarious that homestar is trying to sound like a macho, intimidating drill sergeant despite having the speech impediment of a toddler 😂
Thank you so much for uploading this!
I am thankful you uploaded this, there aren't enough words to describe my love for homestar runner. I just adore it so much!
200 SBemails. Exhausting just to think about. How can we face 200 SBemails? THE THOUGHT OF ALL THOSE SBEMAILS MAKES ME WEEEEEEEAAAAAAAK!
Puuuuuke!
*_Please be seated._*
I just watched most of these on the official RUclips channel last week. Now I'm watching this and they're still able to crack me up.
August 3rd 2022 and I’m watching these again…..where did this time and good stuff go
I love how the SBLOUNCHSKED! song is the most replayed part by far.
Also, how did 6:02:39 age so well? It's aged better than at the time! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!
I guess we all got SBLOUNCHSKED
Watching these are still funny after 15 or 20 years.
Only drawback is not being to play with all the Easter eggs.
True comedy.
Personally I still believe I am the reason for the Coffee email. I wrote that out and the email was very reminiscent of what I asked.
It was worth it
My mom is 67 and still uses the work Dangeresque in everyday conversations. Also she has my old strong bad hoodie and wears it on the reg
STRONG ENOUGH FOR A MAN, BUT TASTY ENOUGH FOR A KING!
Born in 2003 when this was at it's peak popularity.
I watched a few of these years ago and thought they were kinda funny, I came across this and the other compilation videos and now I have them all memorized by heart.
Take a drink every time you hear a line or phrase that you have used in everyday conversation.
No thanks, I don't want to die of alcohol poisoning. I guess you didn't say it had to be alcoholic. Still not sure it would be advisable.
Egads, I've struck a vein of pure nostalgia! Of the finest quality, too!
Getting to the last Strong Bad email is like losing a best friend. 😥.
Thanks again for the post.
i love that the poopsmith is voiced by john linnel (from they might be giants) and he almost never speaks
the only time he was voiced by him was for the "200 sbemails" song 😄
I remember being legitimately excited whenever he got a new computer.
I totally forgot about this thank you so much. It's like I'm a kid again.
🎶 stave it off 1 2 3…and now you can count to threeee 🎶
This has been watched over a quarter-million times in the span of a year or more. That's really a testament to just how classic and integral these dumb cartoons are
This is great, so sad not being able to click on them. These were the best thing ever made by flash.
coach z explaining who bubs is when we're 18 seasons deep is hilarious 9:15:00
Long live the king of the internet.
"It's MY birthday and I get to choose what movie we're watching"
Most of what I remember from college 20ish years later is Strong Bad emails, and this proves it.
Holy hell Clue you absolute hero!
Each video needs a brief pause at the end when the paper descends so we can see the mouse cursor searching the screen for one more Easter egg to click.
This video is my safe space.
This is the exact video i’ve been looking for thank you
Thank you 4 your service to humanity
14:15 SB really loves his ducks lmao
I have watched Strong Bad for years. Getting him to answer one of my emails is on my bucket list. Thanks for the post.
Which one was it?
I've watched this so many times, so now I'm going to keep a live tally of how many more times I watch it beginning to end.
Current watches: 8
Came to learn about this legendary macho man
This is great. Thank you for compiling all of these into one video. A lot less ads this way.
This shows older than me, so my dad was showing me these a few days ago. I only watched a few with him, so I’m glad to be doing it on my own. (I also just genuinely enjoy Homestar runner lmao)
I am indeed aware of how cool my dad is. I feast on your jealousy >:)
You jealous of my knob, mate
thanks for upping this, clue!!!
I'm so glad I found this. Brings me back a loooooooong time.
What I find crazy, is that the towers were still standing when strong bad answered his first email.
Excellent effort, I’ve wanted an “easy all in one” sbemail video for a while now! Thanks!
im makin my way thru this trying to place when i stopped watching HR in middle school lol. so many good bits here, man this was primo content
I love Homestarrunner. I hope the Brothers Chap are doing well.
