Admire this alot, but don't think I have the patience or skills to pull it off. BUT I do like the final configuration of the two singles. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!

Hi!! We love this idea and definitely want to tackle this project next month. Could you please tell us what you type of needle and string you used ? Also, if your mattress has solved your issues and stands up to the test of time. Thank you in advance!!

We used a needle from the sewing kit we carry on our sailing yacht to repair sails, but I guess any heavy duty needle would do. the mattress made a huge difference to the comfort and without question gave us the best nights sleeping we ever had on the boat! Still in great condition.

@@chippykevb Great to hear! Thanks. We will definitely be attempting this in the very near future and will let you know how it goes. Hopefully we'll be as successful as you both. Safe travels

So we did it!!! Faster than we thought which was great. Next up is to get a waterproof topper and we're making a slat riser for underneath the mattress to hopefully prevent any moisture damage to our new bed.
