In today's video we're adding 4 fish to our established South American Cichlid Aquarium. This feat can sometimes be tricky with aggressive/semi-aggressive fish but here's 10 tips to help! (These can obviously be applied to non-aggressive aquariums when adding fish too)
10 tips to help you move your aquarium fish safely!
1- Check water parameters of each aquarium
2- Check the water temperature of each aquarium (sure makes it easier if they match!)
3- Do not stress the fish out when catching them (Use the double net method!)
4- Add the fish to the middle or bottom of the aquarium (never in your usual feeding spot!)
5- Turn your aquarium lights off so the fish can relax and find refuge
6- Add bacteria if possible (sachem stability is used here)
7- Add Melafix (this helps heal nipped fins etc)
8- Feed sparingly and do not worry if the fish does not eat for a few days
9- If the other aquarium fish are aggressive/semi-aggressive- try to add multiple to the aquarium at once (this will help disperse the aggression)
10-Continue to monitor the added fish for the next 1-2 weeks closely (especially if you've added them to a semi-aggressive/aggressive aquarium)

Really good tips, are about to move some neolamprologus sexfasciatus golds to a larger aquarium. Hope the move goes as smooth as possible.

Great video. I have done most of this but the melofix is good pointer. I’m always worried about putting meds in. I’ve lost a couple nice fish from shocking them so the rest I found out the hard way.
