I get what you mean. The third movie was released in 2020 but it still made money because it was lucky enough to be released in January, which was 2 months away from theaters shutting down during the covid pandemic.

Third one is where Will finds out he has a kid from an old flame who has it out for him. She uses the kid to try and basically make Will's life bad. The captain is killed as well due to that. The son is the one who tells them they are terrible fugitives in this trailer.
The 3rd installment was released just before the pandemic and it's probably the reason why most people don't remember much of it... Even for me, I can't recall exactly what happened in the movie from the beginning to the end but I do remember that it was a good movie same as 1 & 2

I mean the 3rd film made the most money out of all 3 films….like damn near half a billion…but i feel most of that was we didn’t see these 2 characters for almost 20 years…so it sparked most the fans of old, aswell as curiosity of new comers….now this one will be a real way to see if the films actually have legs which i doubt only looking at the current market of movies….literally no ones going to the movies anymore like they were when 3 came out…and i doubt Bad Boys 4 is gonna put people beyond fans in those seats…to topple that, people still looking shifty towards Will Smith aint gonna help it either
