#14 First Principles - Sarthak Prakash: Management, Leadership, Governance

Sarthak manages multiple teams that together constitute the global center-of-excellence for Projects Sourcing Operations at GE Gas Power. His staff own or support horizontal workstreams for Material Planning, Cost Control, Procurement Management, and Installation Parts. They also handle related suites of Processes and Tools, Metrics management through Dashboards, Bowlers, and advanced Analytics, as well as Lean deployment via Standard Work, Daily Management, and Kaizens.
Sarthak is also the inclusion, diversity, and equity (ID&E) council leader at Gas Power South Asia, leading a team of ERG leaders and volunteers to drive visible change in the business, region, and teams.
He is passionate about cultivating supplier relationships, supporting Employee Resource Groups, and engaging in campus activities and coaching talent.
In his previous role at GE, Sarthak led Gas Power's global program for supplier diversification and near-shoring. Before that, he worked across Sourcing operations and FP&A roles for various GE businesses in South Asia. He graduated from GE's world-class leadership programs, including Corporate Audit Staff with a supply chain focus, Financial Management Program, and Business Leadership Program training.
