These guys are friends of mine, and I mixed and mastered a bunch of their early work (everything up to and including the EP they released after their first album). I've listened to every layer of every song more than anyone has ever listened to their music I bet, and the songs still manage to stay catchy after all that repetition. That's rare, I think! I can say they are extremely meticulous, and technically knowledgable too. Jørn is a radio host/DJ over here, and has been for a good while. Their bass player also has awesome solo projects that you can find in his SoundCloud account "Bård Linga". Glad to see more people learning about these dudes, I'm so proud of them, and to have been part of getting them to where they are. Awesome bunch of guys, truly!
hell yeah! Cool you checked out Bokassa. Was a fan before the Metallica tour. A few song before molotov rocktail: Vultures, Mouthbreathers inc. Only gob can judge me and hillbilly handfishin... this is rock as it should be. a bit dusty, not polished too smooth and you can hear the fun behind it every second. great band! thank you for showing it to me!
I've discovered Bokassa when they've opened for Metallica and was immediately hooked. Went to see another show of them later that year, headlining club show, and they killed it again. Such a great band. Looking forward to more reactions to them! I think for reaction purposes the best song to react to next is either Captain Cold One (this one has a little bit of gear in the video) or Mouthbreathers Inc. Looking forward to it! ~Bwuhbwuh

Bokassa really gives me the nostalgia feels for the 80's, kind of the same way Kvelertak does. Who you should definitely check out if you haven't before. Love coming to your channel to see your first time reactions to bands I love and then find new bands to love through you. Would love to see a reaction to Dir En Grey if you've never heard them. Picking apart Shinya's drum set would be fun to hear about. Heyas from KCMO.
Great reaction! Another Norwegian band that has opened on an Metallicas european tour is Kvelertak (translates to chocke hold/strangle hold.) If you have'nt heard them, I highly recomend you check them out. Funny you mentioned Foofighters, Dave Grohl suposedly is a fan of them. Maybe check out their self titled song kvelertak?
I guess, that that "How can you listen to such angry music?" moniker is one all of us metal heads have heard at least once. I personally see great musicianship in the bands I listen to, musicians that I love for speaking up about things I really care about, a scene where I as quite the shy introvert have an easier time to connect with others (because the others at least listen to the same music as I do, it's like talking about the weather ^^') and, yes, music that with it's high energy level or the melancholy captured in it helps me vent the feelings that I tend to bottle up. That and shutting the world out, when I feel like I need that. Others that never gave metal and or other "harder" genres an actual a try, might hear only noise and see a bunch of real aggressive people - I don't. That said, there's really nothing wrong with some good, old garage rock, I enjoyed listening 🥰 Gave me a real nice break from all the bad news blasting from my tv set today. And the way they turned that metal head stereo type on end really was quite funny :)
I found them just recently and immediately thought you would probably like it. Hoped it would get your attention knowing that you are so well connected with Napalm.
I've met they thru a web news, bragging bout Lars said he listen to them, I gave it a try and for my surprise I loved them. It's so hard to put them under a single sub genre wing, this song for example, starts with acoustic guitar, to a standard metal based riff, to a hardcore one, with a total pop rock chorus. Not to mention some parts where one guitar play some hard rock rhythm and metal riff all within I have no idea about this band future, if they will change style or still the way they are. Honestly, they mix so much rock genres in a single song that I don't imagine where they would change for
I love the new concept of your channel dude. Thanks to you i found new bands to listen to. I don't know how your video selection works out but keep in mind that the band upon a burning body released a brand new video for the song extermination. Keep up the good work.

Lately I've been jamming a ton of Skarlett Riot. The smooth, female fronted kind of hard rock that just hits right. And for those into more of a punk sound, the German band Fahnenflucht is absolutely amazing.
I also listen to certain genres for specific situations. I think the music I enjoy the most are the songs you can listen to on a late night drive, no matter the genre. New sub here 🤘🏽Im just gonna throw a request out there for ya: At Night it Gets Worse by Circa Survive. They're my current favorite band. Great video!

But since the video is animated and doesn't have any actual gear in it I'm also gonna shout out a song from their last album Superhero Jagganath which is hard mode for gear because it's all shown in quick, trippy cuts.
Just good, solid heavy metal, bit of crossover thrash influence like you said. I can totally see why Lars Ulrich would have liked them enough to tour with.
Oh hey, look - the band is from my hometown.... lol. Also - "Faen" is the *mildest* profanity you can say in Norwegian; it's akin to "damn" in English... so "Faen ta deg" is more like "Damn you" ;p
Really? Is it a regional thing? Don’t get me wrong, I’m NOT questioning you whatsoever, I just heard from a couple people it can also be used as “fuck”.
@@TankTheTech Maybe; I suppose some may use it like English speakers use "fuck" - but ...we *also* use 'fuck' in Norwegian, though spelled "føkk" - which in turn demotes "faen" to be more like "damn" in most cases. If you yell "Faen!" when you stub your toe - it would be used like "fuck" in the same scenario. But if you say something like "for faen" - it would be used more like "dammit" :)
@@TankTheTech Geeky Saga is spot on. Fun fact, fuck is Norwegian anyway, or rather old Norse. Fokka mean to hit/punch/beat which in turn was slang for the sex act, to fuck.
As a fellow Norwegian I agree with Geeky. The influx of English swear words into the Norwegian language has taken a lot of the sting out of the traditional Norwegian expletives.
I'm huge into Metal....but if I'm in a barn cleaning stalls it's 100% country on the radio. I figure if the horses like it then so can I. Totally with you on the genre depending on the situation. Also, call me crazy but I was getting mad Wheezer vibes from this lol.
hey tank would u ever consider reacting to other RUclipsrs? one of my fav cover song creators on youtube is called Skar production and also covers everything from, lord of the rings, video games to Disney all in an awesome heavy metal fashion, he is Norwegian but is also sings clean vocals for a german metal band wich name escapes me :p he also mostly plays all instruments himself. would be awsome to see you react to him at some point :D
Tank The Tech great song Piece Of My Heart - Steven Seagulls & NOORA LOUHIMO Live Finland 2021. NOORA great voice ( Battle Beast ) Familiar Hell official video....Black Ninja, ..Eden...
This was a lot of fun but the clip helped a lot with that. There are still people who listen to metal and only hear the Devil singing. They do not listen to the lyrics or the message but immediately go for Devil worship. There have been movies made highlighting this, usually Christian movies, and watching them is either hilarious or depressing. One such film is 'Rock it's your decision'. This 'movie' has been rediculed by many, rightly so, but you can probably find it on YT if you want it. I would recommend you watch one of the many riffs out there should you want to: ruclips.net/video/hEsh3-h1Oo0/видео.html I especially love the examples of Devil music they give at the end.
I don't know if u heard them, but Mustasch is a band you might also enjoy. Similar no nonsense, straight forward rock. Here's Ransacker ruclips.net/video/RwDa4UfSxKc/видео.html
If you found this video funny, I recommend you watch the music video for the song "Metal By Numbers" by BRIAN POSEHN (not for a reaction because I don't think there are many people interested) but I'm sure you will laugh a lot. ruclips.net/video/chiVMrWMHko/видео.html If you don't know him, Brian Posehn is indeed a comedian, but this is a super serious band, which includes Antrax guitarist Scott Ian.
@@TankTheTech So I highly recommend that you watch this video 😁🤣 (if you haven't already seen it). And he has a couple more videos with that band, like: "More Metal Than You" and "Grandpa Metal". All of them great.
This is the second time i've heard this song as well as the band. I didn't enjoy it first time around at all, second time around I don't absolutely hate it but the pop/punk sound is one of my least favorite sounds musically.
great video maybe you want to check out the new band "THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" with "Jenny Of Oldstones" Vocals Melissa Bonny Jenny and Hans from Feuerschwanz Drums Morten Løwe Sørensen could be interesting :D

You should also check out their prievous Albums Divide & Conquer and Crimson Raiders :)
They referred to their music as "stoner punk"
If you interessted I recommand also to check out also the Band "Demons" :D
I would recommend you watch one of the many riffs out there should you want to: ruclips.net/video/hEsh3-h1Oo0/видео.html
I especially love the examples of Devil music they give at the end.
Make a reaction to the heavy metal soundtrack of the BFG Division by Mick Gordon

Would love it if you could react to my bands track = Asleep At The Helm - Outsiders
I don't know if u heard them, but Mustasch is a band you might also enjoy. Similar no nonsense, straight forward rock. Here's Ransacker ruclips.net/video/RwDa4UfSxKc/видео.html
As much as I love to check out new bands with you... this one was not for me 😂
No worries, man! Can't dig everything!
Very offspring
Day 10 of asking for a reaction to Thundergod!
If you found this video funny, I recommend you watch the music video for the song "Metal By Numbers" by BRIAN POSEHN (not for a reaction because I don't think there are many people interested) but I'm sure you will laugh a lot.

If you don't know him, Brian Posehn is indeed a comedian, but this is a super serious band, which includes Antrax guitarist Scott Ian.
Oh I love Posehn. Haha
@@TankTheTech So I highly recommend that you watch this video 😁🤣 (if you haven't already seen it). And he has a couple more videos with that band, like:
"More Metal Than You" and "Grandpa Metal". All of them great.
This is the second time i've heard this song as well as the band. I didn't enjoy it first time around at all, second time around I don't absolutely hate it but the pop/punk sound is one of my least favorite sounds musically.
great video
maybe you want to check out the new band "THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" with "Jenny Of Oldstones"
Vocals Melissa Bonny
Jenny and Hans from Feuerschwanz
Drums Morten Løwe Sørensen
could be interesting :D
Opening riff and rhythm mixed to vocal entry and I'm out...I'm not living in the 80's. VERY boring 😳
Don't you have your own channel to leave opinions on? 😜
