@vortexoptics is the ball head compatible with other tripods? I already own the Slik Pro 700 XD and would like to run the Vortex Ball Head on said tripod.
I can deny that! I have all 3 of these. The RRS soar series, Leofoto LN364C with a leveling head, and recently I purchased this vortex radian with ball head. And the 3 feel identical. Almost like the 3 where made in the same plant! They really do! All three can hold my heavy 17 lb rifle set up. It has a heavy varmit conture with a KRG whiskey 3 stock in long action and a 50mm mark 5 hd Leupold scope! It's a beast of a rig and they all perform the same! 0 difference... 0 I tell you!!!
Nice tripod, but not flexible at all to use on ANY firearms. Without saddles, the attachment system would be a huge problem for people with rifles that don't have the matching rail systems. BOG Deathgrip is much better and easier to use
Well, you're not wrong. There are options out there for any rifle. Any configuration. Salmon river solutions out of Post Falls, Id. , they make great looking arca rails for any rifle setup, even if you don't have picatinny. Anything is possible these days.
Nice piece of kit right there

Nice.
Magic Carbon
@vortexoptics What is the size of the bowl on the Radian, I'd like to know if my RRS head will also fit this tripod.
75mm ball width. The width of the hole at the apex is 70mm.
How much?
The Radian will sell in stores for $899.99.
Actually, the min hight is MUCH lower than that. How do you not know your own product? Ive owned my for 3 hours and I allready know that!
He's meaning before it sits on the floor. Adjustment clicks. Know what I mean? I saw that as well, he's not the only one stating that.
1st to comment..... can you send me one to test out?
I like Vortex, but I'll pass on your rebranded Leofoto Chinese products. Really Right Stuff tripods are an undeniably superior product.

Or just buy a quality saddle like the HOG and slap it on the ball head via an arca plate
