I first visited San Clemente in September 1982 from London. The Fisherman’s Restaurant was being built, and you couldn’t get a drink on Del Mar after six. I’m always felt welcomed by the people of San Clemente it’s why I keep coming back.
Yes, San Clemente is beautiful. California is such a beautiful state, with lots of beautiful vineyards, orchards. Thank you for beautiful video and virtual tour from Chicago, Illinois..
Have lived here for 35 years and feel like I live on a little island in paradise. I can ride my ebike everywhere I need to go and surf amazing waves right out my back door. Unfortunately it has grown a bit but hopefully we can keep its small beach town vibe 🤙🏽
@@Chiphtree not yet but the youngsters with no etiquette will make it happen sooner than later haha. But for now it’s just on the beach trails which I don’t go in anyways since it’s just enough space for the walkers. Plenty of other paths for us on ebikes.
@Bloke Jr You are so incredibly blessed! I used to live in San Clemente 20 years ago on Del Mar just a 2 minute walk to the beach! Back then I had a 2 bedroom apartment for only $875 a month! It was by far my most memorable time of my life and miss it all the time! I’ve heard SC has grown a lot since then, but hope it still has that friendly loving hometown feel for you that it used to for me! It’s a wonderful place! 🌊❤
SC is my paradise! This is where I come to vacation every year, and have been for 9 years now since discovering it. I'm really into surfing and the beaches here are the only ones in CA I'm comfortable learning at. If your into golf the SC municipal course is one of my favorite municipals to play in the country! Trestles has some of the best surfing to watch in the country. The town is beautiful with its hilly terrain and spanish architecture, I can't believe how many ppl have never heard of this orange county gem!
We've vacationed in San Clemente the last 7 years. We rent a beach house for about 2 weeks, time goes by so quickly. My dream is to retire and move there. All the neighbors We've met are so chill, especially around the July 4th holiday. Whether you're a hodad or actually surf, it's a great place!
What a beautiful city it is and I did love the way you captured the videos and combined them, I will be visiting again LA and wanted your suggestion on which beach 🏝️ is beautiful to take a nice memorial pictures for my Instagram couple of pics in day time and in sunset time but I do enjoy a less crowded beaches
Subbed sweet video 🌴 I hadn't finished your video yet but there's definitely a lot of fun places including mountain biking companies breweries the pier .... And it's not far from the rest of Orange county
Thanks for sharing. I was raised here until about 13. I wandered all the streets by the beach since I was about 7 or 8 and when I was 10 swam around the pier. No way would you let kids do that today. That was back in the 60s. Amazing childhood! Thanks again!
San Clemente never change👌 Pedro's was decent tier until they upped their prices within the last few years which was a bummer, im not sure its worth the price still personally. Many of the classic SC food places have dried up like Tina and Vinces, LA Tiendita, and The Surfin Doughnuts grill at the top of cabrillo and el camino real. id say the best breakfast place in SC is definitely SC cafe and they keep their prices very affordable plus its a rad atmopshere,, doughnuts would be Surfin Doughnuts next to SC Cafe or Rose's for a coffee and Doughnuts. Cafe de sol is a alright alternative to pedros id say on the south end of town Mandarin Garden is good for americanized chinese food and has been in town for awhile, t's not cheap but they give you a ton of food that could easily last you multiple meals or even days. Then there's the 🔺️
Not me I hate California including the governor there who doesn't do anything about the poor homeless people no wonder everyone is moving out of that shit hole state!!!!!
Chip, I'm very excited to take the CN class with you. I did travel videos early on as that was my focus. Your videos are very professional y done. Your voiceovers are excellent and your shots and quality (not overuse) of drone footage are amazing. Can't wait to see our work evolve together. By the way, I have been here before, but wish I had seen this first now. LOL, It was before RUclips was a thing, though. LOL ❤️👍👏 Donovan & Jodi
I'm staying in the Santa Ana area for a trip and have one day to either explore San Clemente or drive down to La Jolla for a day trip. Which one would you suggest?
@@Chiphtree Hi Chip. It's at 9:46. The insignia at the top of the wood surfboard. I know that Native Americans and some Asian cultures had a symbol that looked like this; it was the reverse of what was used in Germany. But still, I'd probably just edit it out. No need for any confusion.
That is not a swastika on the surfboard. The points are in the opposite direction, which facing right as an Indian symbol means the evolution of the universe.
CHIP! FOUR MINUTES + / TWO LONG COMMERCIALS JUST TO WATCH YOUR TRAVEL GUIDE POST?? ......NO--- WAY TOO TOO LONG. WHO CONTROLS YOUR COMMERCIALS CHIP? YOU?? oh my goodness did I use all capital letters? I must be really annoyed by having to sit through the commercials. Sure wish I could watch what you posted, but I just can't bear the 4 minutes plus. i already know what to do if I have a fire on my stove. I have it memorized. Sorry Chip. You lost me.
Chip, I hereby withdraw my misplaced frustration. So Sorry Chip. I have to wonder what then, is YT thinking? Punish the avid users of YT by torturing them with the same commercials over and over?? back@@Chiphtree

My Family just moved here, close to the beach!! Praying for a great chapter🤞💯

My grandparents lived there in the 1950s… their home still stands there still :)

8:11 my goodness.. visiting Orange County currently but need to head to San Clemente asap 🥹
Fantastic video and info! We’ll be moving to San Clemente within the next few months. Super excited! ❤️
Thank you and enjoy! Sucks they just banned ebikes from the beach trail
@@Chiphtree I did read about that. Looks like I have to get in better shape 🤷♀️😜

Nice little video I have been living here since March and i love it here.
Thanks man

tbh, I had to google map San Clemente. Glad it's not so far. Gotta put this in my SoCal bucket list!
Que bonito el pueblito!!!!
San Clemente is a great town! It all started Ryan sheckler show days! 👌🏼
Here now.. camping!❤
Super Bowl express on Camino real has some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life.
I really liked this video thank u. Makes a move easier. That's for sure. I subbed and liked. Keep up good work
You mentioned the trains. Yes, they are not accessible at Calafia, but I'm sure you know it has 2 stations. Pier and North (main)
Such a great video wonderful
Thanks
Well done sir. Thank you 😊
This is most amazing place to live in the world
Your videos are superb
My beautiful home, born and raised in San Clemente and not much people can say that anymore I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else
So lucky. Wish I grew up near the ocean
Good stuff!
Wish I could live here

10:01 bro not the swastika on the surfboard lol🏄🏽
Well It is a surfing museum 😀
We love San Clemente! Lived there in my youth, had so much fun. Now we visit frequently. Thank you for the video.
I like the new intro man, try to do something else with the fade out however, I think the edit could be a little cleaner.
I love a place where I could wear shorts every day. Lol🏝🏖🕶

Depends on what your looking to do
👍
What sign is that on the surf board?
Time stamp?
@@Chiphtree hummm. Hoping it’s a Zuma stamp not something else that looks like that
Yeah, I'd have left that one shot of that surfboard out of this piece.
@@RapidTopography not sure what you’re talking about….what time in the video?

How far is it to drive from L.A. to San Clemente?
depends on where from in LA...big city. Hour to hour and a half
What drone do you use ?
Mavic 2 pro
That is not a swastika on the surfboard. The points are in the opposite direction, which facing right as an Indian symbol means the evolution of the universe.
WJY SWASTIKA AT THE END OF THE VIDEO?
I was surprised to see a swastika on that surfboard. What's the story there?
It’s a surfing museum….there’s all types and a lot of history there
So this is where Big Boy grew up huh. Stax was right, this is a nice place!!!
Yup. Big boy from strength cartel brought me here too. It wouldn't be such a big deal if he didn't lie about it and acted fake.
PRIMO's has awesome food
San clemente has lots of creeps like in laguna beach.
Why would you show the surfboard with the swastika?
It's a surfing museum..... they have a bunch of historical surfboards. It's not an endorsement of the Nazi party.
Swastikas are based.
Don’t come here it’s over populated
San Clementi wtf
