I need to see more of Mewtwo getting out of disadvantage because I'm in there a lot more than you are lol.
This is my biggest issue too. Mewtwo is a blast when you’re in advantage, and even neutral is fine, but it’s really frustrating when you feel like you can’t play the game because you’re stuck offstage or on ledge
its really frustrating.. been at it for two years now. sometimes i just say fuck it and double jump my way off stage then teleport to ledge.
The character that keeps me in distadvsntage the most is corrin. If they spam ariels, you’re screwed. You have to try and beat their ariels but that can be so hard to read.
You know what character has been giving me hell lately? Cloud. That matchup is rough. I do think that the tail is pretty bad though. Throwing out back airs against swordies is actually the worst lol
Shield is good in that matchup. Cloud has no grab game

You are correct but transitioning from 4 to ult mewtwo tail hurtbox got more obnoxious. The tail thing was a problem in 4 still but it was a bit more lenient
What are some great matchups for Mewtwo? As a Lucario main I would've mained him if Lucario wasn't in Smash. I struggle against swordies and Wolf

Mewtwo is a terrible matchup for Ganon ah ah.
Mewtwo was already a big body in Smash 4 but it's significantly worse in Ultimate. In Smash 4 his tail usually was in the Z axis which isn't the case anymore.

I feel like every time I play Quickplay or Elite Smash, I run into like, 6 Ganons out of 12 opponents. I started going to Arenas and they are faaaar better for practice, and WAY less Ganons. Quickplay is now only for the fun or testing out random chars.

Good stuff, but can I just leave a little opinion here? Mewtwo side b off ledge is a bad habit, and it generally shouldn't be used (of course, there are exceptions). Fair enough?
There are too many exceptions for this to be a good opinion
@@jothehutt7946 Really? Like what? Most of the time, it's super punishable, even if you do get the command grab. If you spam it like a lot of Mewtwo players do, then it's super easy to react to and extremely laggy. The only times I can think of where it'd be good is if your opponent is carelessly launching projectiles toward the ledge or they're waiting at ledge in shield in 140+ percent window where side b confirms into forward air. Beyond that, Mewtwo has better options for any other situation.
@@sggames4787 stalling off stage when edgeguarding, B reversing offstage to edge guard with bair (sometimes you will want a neutral B instead), stalling a recovery to prevent an edge guard and mix up timing, mix up timing when certain characters attempt to two frame your recovery, B reverse offstage to set up a sharking situation.
@@jothehutt7946 Those are not side b off ledge. I'm specifically talking about when Mewtwo is in disadvantage and trying to get back on stage from ledge (ledge options). Maybe I should have been more clear.
