    I'm one of the lucky ones who got to sit in front of Buddy's band quite a bit, between 1968 and his passing, and EVERY performance was special. I sure miss him, and all the energy he and his band always brought with them.

    Thank you for posting this! A lot of people have described Buddy as cocky or arrogant. I think he just exhibits the supreme self-confidence that many geniuses have.

    This is one of the best extended interviews of Buddy, he's in good form here and although we've heard a lot of this before buddy still gives us some stories and of course his opinion of his music and life and what an incredible life he had looked at through mabie a more mellowed view. In a way this is kinda a summation of buddy life considering the date stamp here.

    Really interesting interview with the master himself. Have been to three concerts with Buddy's big band - every time a fantastic experience :D

    Great interview and just so interesting for muso's, and the great man was so patient with every question ,there certainly will never be another Jazz drummer that will ever best him ,my humble
