That's exactly what I did a few years ago. I have 2 boxes holding most of my earrings. They stack easily inside the drawer of my vanity table leaving room for the rest of my things.
I recently brought ferero Rocher a couple days ago & I kept the box because I wanted to reuse it but I didn't know how & I found this vid it was so helpful thanks !
This popped up as a suggested video and I'm so happy it did!! I'm forever trying to find uses for containers and now I have an excuse to buy chocolate 😜
Even though I don't wear jewelry I love the philosophy from this video, Reuse, Recycle and Add Function. I'm definitely gonna do this for storing other things. Thank you!
:O I've never thought to repurpose these!! I've been holding on to one since Valentine's and could not bring myself to just throw it away. I'm so glad I found your video! So quick and easy, thank you!!
Adding the hinges is such a good idea! I have several Rocher boxes I use with the inside organizer for my rings and earnings. Just like you said, it is such a pain trying to close it when I'm in a hurry. Thank you!
An easier way to get off that second label which I just did is using anti bacterial hand gel - put some on for 5 seconds and then use the side of a ruler to scrub it off gently and the wipe it off with a tissue. Took me literally 30 seconds incase anyone doesn't fancy spending 23 minutes. Came off super easily and clean. :)
Too cute, you are! I loved the video and your creativity! I've always hated throwing away those containers, now I don't have to! Thank you for sharing your talent!
I had a box that I was using but the ferrero rocher logo made it look tacky and cheap I just couldn't get it off but my goodness am I glad I found this. You little genius with the nail polish thank you so much xx
Oh God! Thank you veeery so much! I thougth I was the only one that didn't like to throw the cases out, I always think "I can recycle this... but I don't know how should I use it" and watching other videos about things like this I saw your video and I just thought, oh my godness I have to see it now!, I knew it wasn't a waste of time see what you have done with this! Thank you for share, I wish I could be more creative with this kind of things that I know I can recycle. Thanks for share what you do, it helps to the environment and to the people that want to reuse and recycle.
You are amazing! This is brilliant! And you have a good eye...that container is absolutely gorgeous...I've never seen anything like it. Beautiful acrylic is SO hard to find. I'll bet they'd charge at least $30 for it by itself.
Another idea is you could add a mirror to the inside of it, so then you can have a large mirror to do your makeup with. ^_^ That's probably what I would do with mine and just buy hinges that stop at a certain angle so I don't have to hold the mirror up. :)
breethebree that would be really cute. Maybe spray paint the container a shimmery gold or silver (or whatever color you want) to hide the gray part of the mirror.
This is awesome! I got a box of Ferrero Rochers for New Years (my grandma buys me a box of chocolates every new year) and I only have a few chocolates left! I am defiantly doing this to store my makeup in! THX
Great ideas! I got this box of chocolates for Christmas and I was like "omg, awesome box!" Your ideas are very classy, I may do the latch version. Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome and thank you for loving my video. I too struggled with the removing the logo and thankfully acetone helped remove it. Thanks for reusing your containers!
OMG that is awesome, and to think ive already thrown those boxes away. (I wont anymore) lol I noticed that you do reply to comments, unlike other people I've subscribed to, I appreciate that, *subscribing* thanks for your video
have been doing this for yrs....I don't eat this candy so I recruited friends who do...they were all happy to help lol. great video, clear, concise, well done...
FYI: I have used Polish remover, Pure Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol, Denatured Alcohol, (every oil on the planet) even WD40 - among numerous other "Goo Gone" type Products.... However... NOTHING works more rapidly (with zero effort/rubbing/scraping/markups than A CONCENTRATED ESSENTIAL OIL!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Obviously the scent does not matter, but it takes less than one tiny drop per price tag to get stickers/labels off!!!! Just apply enough to visibly saturate your sticker and wait 5 minutes.... You WILL 🙏🏻 Thank Me I Promise!!! 😉👍🎁 HAPPY CRAFTING! Merry Christmas!!! 💁🏻🎄😇
Tell Meg thx for your advice! I just could not remove that big bad boy on the top so I gave up until I find a new way! I will defo try your method! Failing that I will cover it with either bling or mirrors tfs x
because that's just how they have learned to talk by hearing their peers parents and all people in their country say it!! Its lovely to hear the differences I think!! IE sidewalk for pavement 'Drug store' for Chemist etc Its called Colloquialisms when people from different countries or even counties called something by a different name than others do. Viva la difference Enjoy!!
Its just a generic term that a lot of American use for all sweets and chocolate It makes no difference if its chocolate or other kinds of sweets its still called 'CANDY' Why are a lot of English so ignorant? We need to expand our knowledge then we wouldn't need to ask naive questions.
Oh wow I’ve never been able to take the labels off, now I know how. Thank you for posting! I’ve actually saved a lot of these to use as carriers for mini cupcakes (even with icing) to transport to my twins’ birthday parties at school. I never had to take the cupcakes out for better presentation, as they were also awesome trays to serve out of. Now without the labels, even better.
i bought the smaller size, the small rectangular one, and my mac powders, and rimmel powders (and prob. more but thats just what i have) fits perfectly in there! i think it can fit like six or more powders! i was so happy when i found out :D
I jus came to see some new method of storing cosmetics.. And found the same method which i have been following past 10years .happy to see the same idea of mine 😀😀😀
wow I am so happy I found this video. I was just thinking of reorganizing my makeup and accessories in bathroom so they do not catch dust or humidity but I was worried about inpracticality of the lids without hinges. And yey , you have solved it. Going to hardware store tomorrow.
I used these Ferrero containers when i was little! ... as storage for Barbie's shoes and accessories :) Since they're so tiny i didn't want them to get lost. I didn't want to break up a pair of Barbie's heels so i had to keep them together!
Hello I'm new to your channel. Would you believe I now have 2 empty containers from these chocolates. On Saturday wad my daughter bridal shower. So I bought 2 containers of these chocolates. I did not throw put the container because I knew I'll use them as trays. I would like to attach those little latches you bough but I'm not sure I can do it. I may not be that talented.im afraid I may not cut it right. I have to purchase the knife you used. Where did you purchase it. Thanks for sharing this video. I don't eat any chocolates, except Cadbury fruit and nuts.
I love, love, love this video. Thanks ever so much for sharing this. I have several empty FR boxes and I wanted to recycle them expressly for make-up/jewellery storage. The biggest problem was trying to remove the FR logo and I managed to scratch one of the boxes while trying to scrape this off. A million thank you's!!!
Just found this video and loved it I was so excited but when I went to you channel it was pretty much the only diy...I would really love to see more sits like this
So I watched this video xmas of 2015 and have been saving the containers. I finally got the hinges and glue three months ago, and scratched off those labels this morning. Not too sure when I will I get to the edges and back part, but great idea 👍🏼it will be so satisfying when I'm done😏

I think it's funny that I watched this over the weekend and ended up finding one of these containers in our dining room last night. My parents were just going to throw it away, so they let me take it when I told them I would use it. I've started using it to sort out my loose jewelry that's scattered around my room. I'll probably try adding hinges to it at a later date, once I find all of my jewelry.
I kept the chocolate divider base as well, and coloured it with spray paint. It's very useful for keeping my earrings apart. :-)
That's a great idea!
That's exactly what I did a few years ago. I have 2 boxes holding most of my earrings. They stack easily inside the drawer of my vanity table leaving room for the rest of my things.
Me too
I've always stored my makeup in these but I love the extra step you took to add hinges!
Thanks!
I use these boxes for my sewing threads, bobbins and various craft bits and pieces. AND they Stack!
Thanks for sharing, I use them for my craft stuff too!

Thanks!

Hahahaha! The end of the video. Nothing like a roll in some chocolate to make a girl happy. XD
Looks like she busted a nut at the end.
:O I've never thought to repurpose these!! I've been holding on to one since Valentine's and could not bring myself to just throw it away. I'm so glad I found your video! So quick and easy, thank you!!
Glad I could help!
This is great! I actually repurposed the smaller rectangular boxes to store brushes in a long time ago but the hinges make it perfect!
The nail polish remover for the logo is genius. I need to check if I still have the Ferrero Rocher box I was saving! Love this!
Thanks!
best candy ever and this was an awesome upcycle!! never would have thought of something like this. I love the functionality little hinges add!!
Thanks!
Adding the hinges is such a good idea! I have several Rocher boxes I use with the inside organizer for my rings and earnings. Just like you said, it is such a pain trying to close it when I'm in a hurry. Thank you!
+Gloria Cano Thanks!

I will try it thanks beautiful 😘
Hand gel is mostly alcohol so it using 91% rubbing alcohol would have the same effect
Too cute, you are! I loved the video and your creativity! I've always hated throwing away those containers, now I don't have to! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Stacey Lawrence Thank you!
I had a box that I was using but the ferrero rocher logo made it look tacky and cheap I just couldn't get it off but my goodness am I glad I found this. You little genius with the nail polish thank you so much xx
Wow! You are so smart! The chockolate box looks much better and is more handy than what they offer in the shops!
Thanks!
Oh God! Thank you veeery so much! EronMarie Maddox Thank you!

+Milabu Thanks!

+Bubli Matharu Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it.
You are amazing! This is brilliant! And you have a good eye...that container is absolutely gorgeous...I've never seen anything like it. Beautiful acrylic is SO hard to find. I'll bet they'd charge at least $30 for it by itself.
I use the Ferrero box as well for my necklaces. I decorated the top of the box :) love the idea of this
Yes, I am thinking about doing this next time too!
You just made unwrapping that chocolate look harder than it needed to be. Ain't nobody got time for that 😋
Sorry.
Haha it's fine!! I'm just impatient when it comes to chocolate 😂😂
Heather H vacilónc*?:
I couldn't throw them away! Got a couple from the holidays. They are actually good quality. I store jewelry :) great idea!
Lucky you!
Another idea is you could add a mirror to the inside of it, so then you can have a large mirror to do your makeup with. ^_^ That's probably what I would do with mine and just buy hinges that stop at a certain angle so I don't have to hold the mirror up. :)
+breethebree That's a great idea!
Genius
breethebree yah nice one 👍👍👍
breethebree you probably should do something about the back of the mirror though, the grey part, as it will show through the transparent lid.
breethebree that would be really cute. Maybe spray paint the container a shimmery gold or silver (or whatever color you want) to hide the gray part of the mirror.
FAVORITE candy! I think the container is beautiful. Great Idea!!!
Thanks!
Thank for you not trashing them. I found my hinges at Home Depot. Good Luck!
I would have never thought of using a Ferrero box! loved this idea
+BornBeautiful Thanks!

HAPPY CRAFTING! Merry Christmas!!! 💁🏻🎄😇
I think this is the best comment
Try using a blow dryer! Just a little heat to warm up the sticker and it peels right off with no residue left behind! It's magical haha
I smear on baby oil and I'm good to go.
OMG, using concentrated oil just ruined my box. It just scraped the film of box too
Tell Meg thx for your advice! I just could not remove that big bad boy on the top so I gave up until I find a new way! I will defo try your method! Failing that I will cover it with either bling or mirrors tfs x
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this video!

why do Americans call chocolate candy? candy are like sweets while chocolate is chocolate totally different things.
Hi Amal thanks for sharing. Where are you from and what do you categorize chocolate as then?
+Ash XL Reviews just as chocolate

Ash XL Reviews thankyou so much🤗🤗
Love it! I re-use these Ferrero Rocher containers too. Love the idea of adding hinges. Thanks for the inspiration :)
Your welcome!
Try using a hair dryer on the stickers to loosen the glue, then peel it off. If that doesn't work, soak the sticker with veg. Oil
Lily Banana Thank you. This is a great suggestion...I haven't heard of the vegetable oil yet, but I will definitely try that!
ashxl Or just put the box into hot water and wait a few minutes. Then take it out and peel the sticker off. :)
love this not just pretty but really great for the environment :) well done
+Siobhan A Thanks I agree!
That ending XD
Thanks.
Just found this video and loved it I was so excited but when I went to you channel it was pretty much the only diy...I would really love to see more sits like this

any oil will take off labels, WD-40, or cooking oil.
dmprisk water is also a very good method
The big one doesn't come of, it's like printed on.I tried 100 percent acetone and it didnt come out. I messed up the lid.
@@Eiramul same here

I love it! Great idea!
It's pronounced fer-rer-oh-rosh-ays in Britain ☺☺☺😐
I think it's funny that I watched this over the weekend and ended up finding one of these containers in our dining room last night. Pippa May That's awesome, you didn't even have to spend any money!
I'm so mad...I can't tell you how many of these I have thrown away. My mom keeps this candy on hand. *kicksdirt*
Thanks! Now you know what to do next time!
Hmmmm chocolate!!! Love your ideas!! Very clever using the hinges. Guess I'll have to buy the chocolates, oh darn, lol.
Thanks!
