Waldstein has no armor moves, in that match up you have to play very patiently and shield Hilda's attacks. Once you have a vorpal you can use j.2C or another forward momentum move and chainshift to get in. 623C and C SPD are his reversals
great tutorial for those who want to get into the game (i'm on ps3, not steam lol). a side note about chain shifting, which may or may not have been mentioned in the comments, is that there are certain moves that CANNOT be chain shifted if the attack is blocked of whiffed, usually those with i-frames (B dps, gord's 214C, IW).

Merkava easy, huh? Iunno, the small amount of time i tried him, i just could not for the life of me understand how he's meant to be used. I could tell Yuzuriha must be really tough to actually get good with, outside of casual pick up and play, but dammit i like her too much. She's a freaking modern Minakata Moriya!
Great video. And what if we'll put execution and spacing aside - who is more hard and complex gameplan wise: Vatista or Yuzuriha? Looks like Vatista has tons of tools for zoning and setups, but Yuzu also have a lot of versatile stuff to play with.
I say Vatista since you have to know when to switch from going in or zoning your opponent, you also have to know when and where to place your crystals.

For the little of UNIEL I fooled with, I actually thought Vatista was easier than other charge characters due to their reversed polarity. It's a much more offensive style, IMO.
Saki Tsuzura from Arcana Heart 3: Love Max [Six Stars] is also a charge character with the forward and up charge. Thankfully, she's also a lot easier and improved version of a charge character, albeit more rushdown oriented and a flash kick not guaranteed to anti-air due to the homing and arcana mechanics in the game. And her sonic boom is replaced with a lunging kick, which is still pretty good considering the arcana you can choose. And judging from you breakdown with Yuzuriha, wouldn't the southpaw samurai be good for the non-combo savvy playing this game? She does look technical, but with practice the mid-range keep-away/mind game style of gameplay doesn't look like it will be bad.

Nice man finally a full on guide about this, i wanted to do one myself but how can i when i don't understand jack about this game ? lol. A note for others some things on the characters seem a little biased (like saying chaos is worthless on his own when i used him the first time and almost completely with out "ozy?" because i didnt know how to keep him out and use him. and i still won against byakyuya. And gordeau is THE best? Eh... he's slower than ones like byakyua and carmine. I can't get him to do shit when trying to use combos. "easy" ok sure. He's worthless to use to me. Hilda was too. No fun. Hildas like the mage , you gotta keep your opponent away from you or you're more or less fucked. (unless you're great at blocking/recovering etc.) Hyde is insanely powerful i've noticed. He's the classic cliche` warrior type. Also can be kind of slow and annoying. REALLY ...all characters can be good bad strong weak it depends on the user and how they play like how some are better mages / dps or some are better tanks etc. You kind of can't really be a one man biased on things like this, sorry. But great guide!

damn i literally picked up eltnum before i checked this video, i haven't tried the other character's combos yet, her combos seemed hard at first but very easy to drop. i can get them fine offline, but online they become impossible because i literally have around 20 to 30 frames of input delay. What are good characters you recommend for me that have easy to confirm combos (hard to drop if you will, considering the delay) with strong neutral game and decent mixups. or whats the most optimal character if i am gonna fight most people with literally half a second of input delay, eltnum turned out unplayable for me
The 2 characters that fit all the criteria you mentioned are Gordeau and Merkava, both have insane neutral, good mixups (especially Gordeau) and have some of the easiest combos in the game. Hopefully online will be smoother in the future.

Sadly the arcade port is a brand new version (Unist) so the ps3/pc version is a bit dated. Hyde is pretty good his pressure and damage can be scary, I play plenty of fantastic Hyde players online. He 100% has a future
NOPE. A lot of character changes have been made since UNIEL (like the absolute decimation of Gordeau, which will be partially reversed in UNI 2), but it's still a decent watch to look back on what was.

I think Phonon is a very strong character, Mika looks good too but at the same time its hard for me to say since we don't have the game. Once Unist drops in US I'll most likely make an update video going over the new chars + changes
Well Unist is out in JP atm and I own it so I guess I can give my 1st impressions, Enkidu is pretty simple, his rekkas are pretty cool and his counter is interesting but not too wild. I'm not too keen on his AAs but we'll see. Wagner seems pretty good with her sword and shield buffs.Honestly almost all her buttons feel like I'm dealing with Hyde 6B IMO, they have some very deceptive range.
So sad, but i do not really play fighting games that are originaly for PC, i searched for this game on PS4 store but sadly it is not there, I really hope and wish if this game was on consoles, Unfortunately, i can close my eyes and tell that there are few players playing it and not many, games like these should be at least CROSS PLAY between PC and consoles or specific ones.
Khalifa Al Suwaidi The new version is out now on consoles but only for Japan atm, US and Europe will get it at the end of the year. You can play it early if you make a Japanese psn.

Neil Connelly he got hit with a nerf (increased recovery time) and everyone else generally got buffs

I think Phonon is a very strong character, Mika looks good too but at the same time its hard for me to say since we don't have the game. Once Unist drops in US I'll most likely make an update video going over the new chars + changes

From what little we've seen of Enkidu and Wagner, what do you think so far?
Well Unist is out in JP atm and I own it so I guess I can give my 1st impressions, Enkidu is pretty simple, his rekkas are pretty cool and his counter is interesting but not too wild. I'm not too keen on his AAs but we'll see. Wagner seems pretty good with her sword and shield buffs.Honestly almost all her buttons feel like I'm dealing with Hyde 6B IMO, they have some very deceptive range.

So sad, but i do not really play fighting games that are originaly for PC, i searched for this game on PS4 store but sadly it is not there, I really hope and wish if this game was on consoles, Unfortunately, i can close my eyes and tell that there are few players playing it and not many, games like these should be at least CROSS PLAY between PC and consoles or specific ones.
Khalifa Al Suwaidi The new version is out now on consoles but only for Japan atm, US and Europe will get it at the end of the year. You can play it early if you make a Japanese psn.

I do not want to go so far with the topic but this game is not gonna make it because of it's low popularity and the Japanese Exclusivity at making games, this game will die exactly like "Persona Arena", i really want this game to make it out alive it just doesn't deserve this to happen to it, i personally got shocked by just not hearing about this game since this long time.
