- In this video imagine what if the 1950s Superman George Reeves fought the original movie version of King Kong on television or in the movies. In this short imaginary battle get an idea of what such an amazing battle might have looked like had we been lucky enough to see it happen. Superman and King Kong are legendary figures for decades now and no actor is more legendary and respected than the 50s TV Superman George Reeves. King Kong kicked off the classic giant monster movies way back in 1933.

Hi. I'd like to report a "goof" I noticed... just in case you hadn't found this one yet. It's in the opening credits of Alias Smith and Jones. When the posse starts chasing them, they are not wearing coats. But, when they are saying they wished the governor would let more people in on their secret (about getting amnesty), their coats are on. I can't imagine why they'd take the time to put the coats on during a pursuit. 😂 I'm leaving the message here because I didn't know how else to contact you. I am looking forward to your next video. 😊

We had that for several years in "Uncle Earl's Classic TV Channel," but his server screwed up and the site crashed a few months ago. "The Adventures of Superman" TV series was there in its entirety. It's currently posted on The Internet Archive, so watch it while you still can. Things like that have a way of disappearing!

He can really only use existing footage and modify it a bit such as Superman saving the pilot which he probably did on the show.

I wonder if you could sort of do a Very Vivid Dream I had. I wasn't born until the end of 1957 and so I never really got to see the George Reeves Superman until it came out on DVD. After finally getting to watch it complete I had a Dream about George in Superman 2. And he had help as Supergirl Melissa was with him. So it was Superman and Supergirl against Zod, Ursa, and Non!
That would be interesting to try and do sometime. It would probably take a lot of editing.

You could add this one to your bloopers list. Noticed how Superman was riding on the tail of the aircraft yet the tail was more like a P40 from World War II and it was metal. Whereas, the airplanes supposedly fighting King Kong were made of fabric and were vintage World War I biplanes.
That is true.
Superman would have picked up Kong and flew him to safety on an island far away.
But Kong did step on a few people in the movie. Was he really that nice a monster? I ask because everyone seems to always feel sorry for Kong and I've always thought about the people he stepped on or ate.
Why did Superman not save Kong und bring him back to Skull Island?
Back then, Superman did not play around. In later years he became a lot easier on criminals and monsters.
