Married was always a sad episode for me as a kid. It got even sadder for me when I watched it again shortly after my wife passed. But I always remember the story David told Carolyn about the berry branch really hit home
This was and still is my favorite TV show of all time. My opinion is that this is 1 of the morally cleanest shows of all time. It taught honesty, anti drugs, anti racism, etc. This was done without forcing it upon you. For example, in some episodes where Banner needed clothes following a Hulk Out, he would take them from outside clothes drying lines, then attach money from where he removed the clothing.
Finally somebody addressed Bixby wearing the prosthetics and green tinted paint. I like how later on they would show an extreme closeup of his face during transformation to make it look like his face was in mid transformation.
I remember going to school with a kid we called the Hulk not only did he look like Lou ferrigno but he was just as big and he was a wrestler so this is about 40 years ago but I'll never forget
I was born in 90 so my first real "Hulk" experience was the 2003 movie which is underated i believe, but it was nice to have so much hulk history backlog to explore and the show was amazing so now im forever a Hulk fan haha
I really enjoyed this video! Even though you don't have high production values you really make the most of the material you have to use. Your passion and nostalgia really come through in a positive way. When I was about 12 or 13 years old I had the great pleasure of meeting Lou Ferrigno at a custom car show. I will never forget how gracious he was to his fans. I got to shake the Hulk's hand😊
I remember in the rodeo episode, a guy announces over the PA that they are looking for a lost child named Nicky Corea. Nicholas Corea was the show producer, so this was an in-joke. It looks like they had a lot of fun doing the show. And it seemed like it was the golden age of TV stunt work.
This was my favorite show in the 70s I loved watching all the episodes this show remains my favorite to this day I have this series on DVD I liked Bill Bixby and the theme song is my favorite
I think it'd be awesome if you did a video like this for the 70s Live-action Spider-Man show. The stunts are real and spectacular in that short-lived series.
I was 6 when we watched the pilot on CBS. We had a console TV where I would get beside the TV cabinet once I saw those eyes in my attempt to hide from the Hulk. You gotta admit, the first season Hulk's appearance was terrifying. 😳
I can't remember being too scared from it though, and I was scared of almost any monster shows, maybe it was because my mom told me he was a good guy. I wish I could remember, I just remember my sister hid behind the couch she was so scared of the Hulk.
Great video. Regarding some of the mistakes and goofs? Back in the day, you were watching the show on a small TV with rounds corners and in low resolution. Now, I am watching the show on blu-ray and on a 65 inch 4K TV so, yeah, mistakes are going to be more noticeable. I don't fault the show back in the day. It was an expensive show to produce and they could not have foreseen the progress in home entertainment technology.
I thought the The Incredible Hulk Comics came after the tv series too. I never heard of the comic version till then. My dad had to tell me that the comic came first. Later on during my teens I started buying the comics thanks to the tv series though, A big Hulk fan especially the tv version. Love this vid.
Thanks, I remember how awesome I thought that it was to see the Hulk in a comic book. Back then comics were 35 whole cents which seemed like a lot back then, but they were worth every penny.
@@tvcrazyman I remember buying old comics for 25 cents each. I would buy up Hulk comics. I lost them all after moving out of an apartment because the clean up guys cleaned and threw away everything. I was "Angry". LOL.

My favorite Hulk memory is when I read the 2018 one shot comic, "Last Call". In it, Bruce Banner is considering ending his own life and calls the suicide hotline and a worker and he talk about the Hulk and about Betty and she reminds Bruce that the Hulk has also done a lot of good. But as they are talking, the hotline worker is being harassed by the Marvel Villain. Mr. Hyde, who more directly influenced by Stevenson's classic tale than the Hulk is. Anyway, Hyde is stalking the worker and the Hulk saves her and he decides to not end his life and calls off Deadpool, whom he had hired to kill him. Even Deadpool was pleased with Banner's final decision, as was I. What a powerful and inspiring story. My favorite Hulk story and memory of all time. As far as my favorite memory of the show: The TV Piliot and the two tv movies with Thor and Daredevil. For Films, The 2003 and 2008 solo Hulk films. I like both. I don't care what anyone says and also, The first AVengers film and Infinity War/Endgame. Awesome movies all of them.
5:45 If i had to guess, Stan Lee probably wanted the bear to be a robot so it would make more sense that the Hulk would struggle with it. Imo it would've been more interesting if they used the Wendigo instead of the bear, but I'm guessing they didn't have the budget for that. 6:43 Lou, the Hulk and DBZ inspired me to lift weights when i was a kid, and i still lift to this day.
That may have been what Stan was thinking. At that point he probably didn't fully realize which way the show was headed. Wendigo would have been awesome!
My all-time favorite hero is Spider-Man. As a kid, watching "The Incredible Hulk," I imagined all the time that i was going to Hulk out, and on some occasions, I would get too carried away and ripped the buttons from my shirt. Mom was not too happy.
One thing that is not very nice, is that people never show any respect for stuntmen, if it was not for Manny Perry doing Lou Ferrigno's stunts for the tv series and feature length films, there wouldn't have been an Incredible Hulk TV show, so people should try remembering that.
It's important to remember that this show, like most sci fi/fantasy tv shows at the time, was being shot on a very tight budget and even tighter shooting schedule. As a result, there wasn't a lot of time to meticulously fix these mistakes in post production in the way films and tv shows today have the luxury of doing.
It's true, today a whole season of shows is so short they have a lot more time to work on them, but I still see goofs here and there, especially if you count bad CGI. For me it seems that any time today they have a wild animal represented it tends to be bad CGI.
Loved the hulk when it was shown here in the UK. It aired in 1978 here although i must have watched it in the 80's because in 78 i was only 6, i remember liking the hulk but actually found Dr Banner creepy.
This was back when TV shows were so good kids stayed home at night to watch them because they had so many good ones back to back every night right up to bedtime now nothing
Even with all the cool tech in the past 40 years, Ted Cassidy still has the quintessential Hulk roar. Especially Season 1. No shade to Napier at all. Or Lou. Or anyone else. Cassidy was one of the voiceover actors that was very hard to follow. Probably like trying to replace an iconic singer in a rockin' band. Curious, tho. Did Napier provide the audio for Frye's creature in the First? Anyway. Considering the tech available at the time and the budgetary constraints, everyone involved did a great job. Thanks.
Don't know about the first and Napier, but I do agree with you that Ted Cassidy had the best Hulk roar. It is very noticeable when they stop using his roars.
Fun Fact: The Evil Hulk in The First part 1 and 2, Dell Frye was actually made into the comics after his debut in the show. However the character in the comics is different from the Tv series Dell.
I didn't lift weights for a long time. When this show came out I was in daycare / kindergarten. I did have the inflatable incredible hulk muscles that you would put under your shirt and pump up. First time I saw this show it was the tv movie. After that it was the pilot episode of The Dukes of Hazzard.

When I was a kid and did something bad, my parents didn't hit me. Instead they didn't allow me to watch The incredible Hulk for that week. And to add more to my pain, they watched it, so I could hear the Hulk roar from my room. 😞
I used to be so scared of Hulk as a kid that when I went to bed, I would sleep as close to the wall as possible in case the hulk jumped through my wall he wouldn't land on me. 😅
When I was a kid I was most scared of vampires and some mud monster that came out of the ground I saw on TV that I can't remember the name of. I was afraid my parents would turn into vampires or a mud monster would come out of the wall.
I think Stan Lee was inspired to create the Hulk by a thing everybody knows by themself. If youre too stressed, working on whatever, it wont work, it cant fixed and everything goes wrong everybody had loose control, grab the whatever and throw it right through the room or garage while screaming and then kicking on it like the item is a real living thing. A fact of the ferrigno Hulk is that in the 70s they dont have CGI or a Bodybuilder who had the Comics Hulk Body, today we have but they are too short. And for Mr. TVcrazyman: When you or whoever talk about the Ferrigno Hulk you allways had to remind that this is a TV serie for Children. Hey, TV Crazyman, I don't know how to write to you other than commenting on one of your posts, but since you're an expert on bloopers, I was wondering if you could tell me which episode of The Planet of the Apes TV series shows a chimp lifting his arm and his sleeve dropping to reveal a human arm. They only made up his hand to look like a chimp while the rest of his arm was not made up.
I honestly don't know off the top of my head, but I have been meaning to do a Planet of the Apes goofs video. I'll have to set aside a week to re-watch and research and maybe I'll find it then.

In the episode 747, how does David get his bag and jacket back at the end of the episode?
That's a good question.
Some of the clothing looked obviously scored by an exacto knife or similar.
where do you get these hulk clips? I'm going to do a video about the 70s hulk in a couple months?
