I wish house interacted with med students more often. Really interesting to see him teach those with no EXP how to actually solve an issue directly.
You could make a whole show out of that. Call it something like ... I don't know ... Scrubs.
@@duaneeitzen1025 Never seen Scrubs. Heard it was basically live action medical family guy.

House’s “time for girl scout cookies already?” is great, but Wilson’s “get me some thin mints.” is even better.

The best is Wilson's: "The metric sistem always confuses me."
"Time for girl scout cookies already?"
"Get me some thin mints."
LOL Absolutely love it when Wilson plays off of House.
"Still not boring."
I missed this the first time watching and had to go back to see it. :(
I like how House says “Treat every patient as if they have Korsakoff’s,” and then proceeds to demonstrate how he can be as mean as he likes to her.
Thank for writing the name. I am Spanish speaker and for me "korsakoff" sounds the same that corsakoff (idk if English speakers can notice the difference). So i was like "but yeah, that start by C!". Is funny when you remind House also speak Spanish
"There was this weird old guy with a cane." - Technically, she's not wrong there as House did make her feel bad.
*Plot twist! It was he who broke the arm!*
No, she's not righ. Making someone feel bad and breaking their arm are different things, you know.
Right. She remembered that😉
But she didn't remember that he was him 😂
Uma, the “there” after “wrong” is superfluous and removing it improves the quality of the composition. As to “feel bad,” well since “feel” is a verb and adverb is appropriate and “badly” is correct. “...feel badly” is the correct expression. Grazie. Ciao.
underweight, red nose, starts with C. i was 100% thinking Cocaine

Korsakoff’s can be caused by undernutrition or by alcoholism. Alcoholism causes a red nose.
Yes because cocaine is a disease

You can see him putting it together at 2:25 lol. His eyes went from the clipboard to the horse😅
I absolutely love the part at 4:20 when the intern wants to ask something but is afraid, and House instantly notices this. The way he very intimidatingly says, "Yes?!". Its a combination of all doctors reminding interns not to waste their time, and House reminding interns 'Really really don't waste MY time!' Love it!
Gonna be a stickler and note they're not even interns, but most likely fresh 3rd year medical students
@@JohnnyAllsop - Thought that was kinda the same thing, but I guess interns have completed med school and are 'resident' doctors?
@@HailAnts Interns are newly graduated from med school: 1st year medical residents. Their long white coats would normally indicate that these are MDs, not medical students (who wear short white coats). It’s likely though the costume department didn’t know that little insider tidbit though, because these definitely seem like medical students (Cuddy wants House to teach them learn how to take medical histories…a skill that is taught in the 1st year of med school).
@@SalimSivaad - Sorry, I only learned the hierarchy of medicine from watching _St Elsewhere_ as a kid. And I guess I got that wrong too!
And when they added Masters (who was a brilliant med student) to House's team she wore the same coat, didn't she?
that YES? with the eyebrows up so iconic
The twins are licking each other again and Harry has a seeping wart on his extra toe. What a great beginning to the clip. 🤣😂🤣😂
Actually house is right... Filling up gaps in memory is called 'confabulation'.. and it's a feature of Korsakoff's... 😇
Yeah, but that's just a symptom, not what was actually wrong with her.
House was just messing with 'em while proving a point.
Nice
Everything they say in House is medicine related. Nothing is made up
House is always right man
No one thought he was wrong. Or are you trying to win the "state the obvious competition?"
Imagine you get selected to shadow a famous medical doctor but that doctor is House
I would faint. Then he would take an hour to diagnose me.
I'd get a second opinion about the future of my medical career - probably from Wilson
I'd chance it might learn more with him than anyone else

My favorite line in this bit too
And then she proceeded to cover her bosom around House for the rest of the episode.
Yeah, we know, we heard all that in the clip.
to be fair that was a v nice bosom
Little do these girls know , they’re learning from the one of the great medical minds of their time
4:33 that expression! gold!
When House said that whatever the patient has starts with a "C", I figured, "It's cold, isn't it?"
We can rule out Lupus.

Its never lupus.
It is confabulation
I always hate when my cold sprains my wrist and destroys my memory.

Cutty completely owned House there and most commenter missed it, she knew exactly how that would play out, that house would delight in teaching his favour lesson to those students.
..... I... Think you're missing the point of Cuddy on the show if you think anyone is missing that...
And his favorite lesson is everybody lies.
Honestly I’m fairly sure I’m one of the only fans who wished that their relationship worked out. They play off each other so well and their chemistry pre-breakup is almost perfect.
I think the most impressive thing about this clip is how house can grab that thick heavy book with one hand and have it not look super heavy
I was worried it would break the glass table. It was glass right
it probably has vicodine hidden in it
Something that truly changed my life for the better. I learned so much from watching this over the years...
Of course I was always interested in the “patient of the week”, but they could have had an occasional episode filled with scenes like this one combined with clinic patient interactions. Would have been hilarious!
Love watch House teaching. It's a pity we only had two episodes of this.
1:31 Why does Clark Kent in the background look like he's holding in a massive dump? Looks like the extra was a little nervous to be on camera and couldn't keep a calm expression.
He must be thinking:
"Don't mess it up, don't mess it up, just walk straight"
I thought I was the only one to notice :) :)
Didn't the guy who originally play Superman die on the toilet?
@@booqueefious2230 That's Elvis Presley. The original actor George Reeves died from a Gun Shot Wound to his head in his bedroom. He was suffering from depression coz he was typedcasted as Superman and couldn't find work.
He is not related to Christopher Reeve.
@@ShadowMoon878 Ah. Well Batman is better anyway. Superman cheats with those alien powers, but Batman is rich, and despite his wealth, he has unprocessed childhood trauma, which he channels into a morally ambiguous quest for vigilante justice.
Batman would never die on the toilet, or shoot himself in the head
“Perfect forgiveness” why should we cure it
Because forgiving and forgetting is actually quite different, hence the saying. If peace stemming from ignorance is acceptable, feel free to lobotomize yourself at any time.
@@xandercorp6175 Lobotomize me daddy.

4:13 Korsakoff doesn’t start with a C, but confabulation (a key feature of Korsakoff’s) does… better luck next time!
Looks like House has hickeys again--the turtleneck.
Unfortunate for my boy House, that hickey was Hugh Laurie's ;)
Still to this day I wake up to this theme song as my alarm :)
When he turns around to show them the ferris wheel it's the best :D

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
bosom, he's being polite.
House asked them those questions, because it's important for a doctor to notice everything about their patient, right? Not just relevant things, because it could all be relevant.
The "how much does she weigh and what color is her nose?" Maybe, but in this case it was also directly related (if she's too thin the Korsakoff's is caused by insufficient diet, if her nose is red it's due to excessive drinking).
@@raindrain1 That just proves OP’s point though
Best teacher ever!!
I’m loving the turtleneck
I have to start re-watching house again
Me too 😂
House: What color's her nose?
Student: Flesh toned?
If house sneezed like that today, I'll run rather than getting an autograph (or getting insulted).
This is like the only episode house ever wears a turtleneck instead of his typical t shirts and button downs. Wonder why the change for this one 🤔 maybe the actor Hugh Laurie had a hickey 😏 lol
What episode was this
Edelstein is cracking
Lol that ending is hilarious
I often wonder, what about the patient having no memory did the students not understand?? House had to go back in to the patients' room and prove that fact again.
If only diagnosis were really so straightforward!
HOUSE IS THE MAN DAM I MISS THIS SHOW :(
Those girls are great; I wish they'd been regulars
House is merciless, but not cruel. He's not kind or gentle, but he doesn't enjoy hurting people.
He wouldn't go out of his way so much if he didn't enjoy it.
I beg to differ...when he is out of opiates he often gets mean.
He has soft spot...look at cases that he took..that 15 yo who taking care of her 'schizophrenic' mom who turn out to have treatable Wilson disease
Oh yeah, just walk out like i'm not gonna do anything?

I need a Wilson in my life
I own every season of House, but I don't recall this episode at all
I don't own any, but I remember this one. Perfect forgiveness, as though something never happened. I need to learn to "take each thought captive" and never go back after I've forgiveness something. -KJV
It was good I remembered 😇
Niiice knockers, thanks for the show
We needed more of Hugh Laurie in turtle necks
"There was this weird old guy with a cane and he hit me with his mean mean words"
I think I understand why House has fantasies about Cuddy
The show is house, but that turtleneck is definitely Hugh Laurie
"That will be telling" is that a Prisoner reference?
Perfect forgiveness, indeed. Ergo, no unhappiness.
The part that gets me on this scene is that she calls him out on being "cruel", but he really wasn't. In fact, all he did was counter the student's loud statement that she may be making things up.
Telling someone bluntly they have a neurological problem and then walking out is pretty cruel. She has just enough brain power to realise that he is right and losing your memory is HORRIFYING. She then has just enough time to get the adrenaline and other stress chemicals dumped into her brain and then forget the reason.
Just because you're forgotten doesn't mean you're forgiven.
Is that Cuddy’s future adopted daughter sitting on the table!? At 0:09
It looks like her but I don’t think that’s her. There’s a five season difference in between. She would be way younger in this episode if it was her
For some reason I would love a prequel series about House in Med school but I know no one would be able to capture Hugh Laurie’s portrayal of the character.
I’m tired of Prequel shows. They need to know exactly what they’re doing, and most break continuity. Beyond annoying.

1:02 DAAHAAADSHAH
Korsakoff's psychosis is irreversible and does not respond to Thiamin treatment 🙄
Half the time I assume House is just reading the script. Not the actor reading the script, I mean the character of Greg House has a copy of the episode’s script and knows the diagnosis before sufficient evidence is available.
If students had more tutors like House, the younger generatoins would be far more bearable...
1:54 and you're looking at them lol
