My favorite part is when the (German) Shepherd is leading the leashed lamb passively down the stairs - presumably to slaughter (as Ren sings, "I'm eating your flesh (yum-yum-yum-yum)." It's a flashing sign that most of us are calmly led by supposed caretakers (shepherds/politicians), even when it isn't in our best interest. Then Ren talks about waging war on the capital and burning the hypocrites. And so we replace our illegitimate ruler with a guy who boasts he'll "take your life with a grin." The new lord's response, "Yes, I'm tyrannical bro, so"
When you all are not acting silly, you actually make a great deal of sense. That is why I enjoy your reactions. Ren makes us more intelligent and creative. Ren provides us with possibilities. You both can go far; keep using that intelligence hiding in your heads. Great reaction.
Animal Farm by Georege Orwell was originally written as commentary against communism. It is about a farm run by a cruel drunkard. The animals rebel and take over the farm. They are led by 2 pigs and have rules they all agree to follow (the actually rules are written on the wall in the music video and the tied up human represents the farmer). Eventually the pigs become more and more corrupt, break all the rules, and treat the other animals worse than the farmer had. The book ends with the other animals looking into the farm house and they can't tell the difference anymore between the pigs and the farmer. They have become just like the "evil" they were trying to fight against. (That is why the animals were wearing clothes, eating meat, drinking etc in the video) So my take on the music video and song is that it is about man's propensity to become corrupt and violently animalistic when put in positions of power. People do crazy things to retain their power and money. Lots of the comments on the video are about the visuals because Ren said it was his most ambitious one take up to that point. The visuals give more understanding to the lyrics. The lyrics hit even creepier in the acoustic version. Ren also released this the weekend of Prince Charles' coronation to be crowned King of England amd it has a bar saying "Your illegitimate king lost his crown" which is pretty ironic.

The animals take over the farm from the farmer with rules of unity (they are written on the wall in the video) but they end up breaking all the rules and are just as bad as the farmer. Even the wolf leading the lamb (Mary had a little lamb) reference goes back to the wolves turning on the rules and killing the sheep. Or, it's just a really cool video with a peak into the chaos and thoughts of Ren. You are very right... Ren doesn't operate in the same confines... that's why he's Ren.

People like RATM screaming fuck you I won't do what you tell me, artists calling out corrupt government. This to me is just about an animalistic anger with the people in power, just letting rip letting the animal side loose to just call out rich corrupt bastards in the government who are turning people against each other, attacking immigrants, the poor, the working class, whoever.
