Interesting! Vandoren specifies that V16 S6+ needs to be coupled with Java Green 3-4 in their website. You are using 2.5. Maybe that is why highs and lows were off.

Interesting that you call the BSS reed bright when it was designed to be darker than other jazz reeds (especially by maintaining that in the upper register).
The other question is: What's the comparison of box vs. box? Vandoren makes good reeds, but they can be wildly inconsistent even within the same box.

Very true! Thanks for watching and if you want to vote on which reed you liked more please vote! It was definitely brighter than what I'm used to and these are just my notes on the reed I pulled out. Of course each reed is going to vary but the rules say I can only use one reed to represent the brand. Stay Saxy!
