Been watching your vlogs for a few years now, and since then, I've never seen your crops soo green..😁👍
Well said. A m happy for them.
North farm had a half way decent crop last year
@@fungleinfection6998 I remember that. Am surrounded by farm land since 94. I see them work so hard battling mother nature prices and i always want them to have a bountiful harvest
Dang that field that was duck land looks good I would of thought it would take longer to get the weeds under control the love seeing the north farm doing so well for you
Mike, your crops look amazing. I hope they continue to receive enough rain for a great harvest.
You remind of my dad always on top of inspecting his crops for any problems. He worked for Pioneer on the side checking seed fields.
I love a good crop walk. Thanks Mike - made my day.
Hey Mike, so happy to see the great looking crops!!
Great to follow along with you Mike . 👍🏻
Crops look great Mike, they wouldn't be better in a greenhouse.
Looks like a grasshopper's paradise
Sad to hear that south is struggling again.
Same boat for rain at my ranch. 3.5” May, 1.2” all June. And windy
I gotta check mine right now
Man mike bud, i can't wait to see yalls harvest this year, hope the south farm gets a good harvest for you an the crew back home, gonna be sweet if it does, yall deserve it after the long hours y'all put in to get the crops in, thanks for sharing an I look forward to seeing the next video as always 👍🤙✊💪
Pretty crops Mike! I hope you hit the jackpot up there.
North farm always looks great 😃

Crops are looking good

Morning
Mike magnifique vidéo et les chang de blé est bien et ça pousse 😂😮😅😊
Sick looking blue so it looks like a bud light can?
Those Lentils are drinking boy!
Mike, are you still getting that Case 715?
Man I got 4 canola plants growing in my lentils on a half section and it drives me nuts hahahahaha. Your crops look good buddy.
Thanks! The canola doesn't anymore until we get some heat, lost prb 20% to flooding and the rest of waterlogged lol.. Crazy how different the weather is from even the north and south parts of the north farm.
@mikemitchell2554 there is alot of water laying over east here too. Next week looks good for some summer time temps tho. Let's see if they're right lol
Of june 26 my birthday day🙂
Hi Mike. Great videos. Just curious what you are averaging for % organic matter?
Well soybeans are bit of a princess crop as well… they can’t swim very well when we’ve had 12” of rain in the last 30 days in the upper Midwest. The Corn sure does love the humidity though.
👍
Time to plant some corn with all that rain!
He doesn't have any cows
@@Northern_FarmerOr long enough growing season. We plant 104 day corn after we chop winter rye end April early May and we don’t get to harvesting till like early November. Up where Mike lives I bet it’s already snowing lol.
Usually down here we don’t get a good killing frost til early Nov so as long as corn is fully mature it doesn’t matter. But yeah you definitely can’t get a frost in like September. 😂
@@crandonborth well by me saying cows.. the only reason we grow it here is to either silage or just let the cows graze it in the winter
@@Northern_Farmer Oh I see… down here in the US 90% is grain for ethanol production. Not many dairy’s left unfortunately.
How do you manage compaction with crops that do a taproot? Do you see problems with them bundling out or is it managable with a good rotation in no till?
Tramline for sprayer.
Disclaimer: No Princesses were hurt in the making of this video.
He wrapped them in aluminum foil-age?🙃
Do you spray any growth inhibitors they seem to work pretty well at least on winter wheat
Do y'all ever go in bout an 1 or 2 inches and really chop and till up all the old stuff on the top of the ground to get a full clean ground to restart and put all the nutrients from all the old stands back in the dirt
As a general rule, most farmers in Saskatchewan run no till operations.
@Dereck_Ryan yeah I know that but I'm sayin do they ever go through like a fresh start like most farms here in Alabama does
@@jimjohn5348 It's rare. In my area they only perform heavier tillage on low lying areas and/or problem weedy areas. Otherwise they just seed into the stubble from the previous crop year.
@jimjohn5348 well he owns a pro till. Doesn't show much of in field use but I'd imagine they work some stuff
What fungicide did you put with in crop spraying
You have cleaned that land up that the environmental terrorists destroyed really well
Don’t most people use potash in their fertilizer. Mix to crate strong stem to prevent lodging..
As I understand it, it doesn’t take a lot, but it sure makes a hell of a deal
I do
Tram lines 🙃🤣🤣
Do you spray growth regulator on your wheats so it doesn't grow as tall and has less chance to loge?
I have been hearing bad things about that stuff
@@Northern_Farmer might not be good for conditions in Canada but has been used throughout Europe for the last 60+ years
@HootMaRoot it's being used here...but hearing about residue problems or something
Do you get enough rain up north to grow corn or soybeans?
Growing season is way too short… they’d need at least 2 more months to get corn to fully mature.
Have you really had much heat down south? We haven’t seen over 26 degrees here yet this year. Way behind on heat units. Corn looks like crap, everything else looks pretty good.
If it lodges can you not swath
