If there was ever someone who is in an ideal situation to advertise Yankum ropes, it's you Mike! Those Yankum rope people ought to be sending you many assorted towing ropes because you would be a great ambassador for the brand 👍 😀.
They aren’t really big enough, they are made for American farms which are smaller than Canadian farms. Also I’m not even sure if you can get them in Canada
Hi from Australia..😊 Being bogged down is a good thing, especially if you have crops growing in the ground. Mind you sowing in the sloughs is always going to be risky..😅
Lol. You love getting stuck! Just wanted to say, I got hooked watching your channel when I was at home following shoulder surgery. You and your crew are some hard working people. But man, I do admire what you do. Love your channel!!
Poor Mike finding out why they get to charge 30k for duals :( Surely some fine gentlemen could hook you up, wanna show the machine's full capabilities to the world ;)
Mike: this tractor barely can pull this thing farmer who planted my 80 acres with a dualed up 2wd 4640 with same planter and tank: hold my water bottle
Mike, my friend, If you'd take a couple of tons of added ballast off your tractor, add a set of duals on the front and rear, it would do much better in the soft ground, not sinking out of sight! Weight is not your friend! "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌 👍 🇺🇲
Weight gives more traction and it doesn’t really matter how much rubber you have (more rubber reduces compaction more than it gives traction). So most times weight is your friend. The one exception is soft soil where you would sink with weight. So yes, only in this scenario less weight would be preferable. In most other situations more weight would be better and also lots of rubber to prevent to much compaction.
As someone maybe in the market for a 930 Fendt, what is the maneuverability like compared to the 724?, I currently operate a Fendt 828 and am looking to move it on due to high hours. The 828 is a good machine for me because it is heavy and has tight turning capabilities, Fendt of course no longer make the 800's, the 700 series just aren't big enough due to GVM limitations for road use (even the gen 7 700's) and the 900's have impressive GVM's, I'm just concerned about their maneuverability for getting around tight areas that I can do in the 828 easily.
hey mike i have a question, was this tractor meant to pull this drill when you bought it? you said it has not much spare power when pulling the drill, why didnt you opt for a more powerful version of the 900 fendt?
In this case it was more a problem of traction than of engine power. So a Fendt 942 with 415 hP would have get stuck, too. Maybe with duals that would have not been happened.
you are right in this conditions also a stronger tractor would get stuck. anyway later in the video mike says the fendt is close to its limits powerwise, thats the reason for my question.
Also in Europe crops yields are massively higher most years. European farming is intensive, Canadian farming is extensive. Both are suited to their environment.
Would it make financial sense to fill in all the slews so that you don’t get stuck and then you can seed these area’s for production. Just wondering. I love your channel but know nothing about farming.😊
You should do all your seeding pulling the drill at the end of a 50 ft tow strap. Hitches are for wimps! That way, whenever you get stuck, yer already ready to go.
Dumb question but why didn't you wing up earlier? When you got stuck to reduce drag or when you were pulling it out? Maybe you should put a tool box on all of your tractors to pack tow straps.
With the nice rains you've been getting - we should start looking at occasional 'stucks' as a GOOD THING, ha.
One positive of being stuck Mike is you can sit, slow done and chill waiting to rescued perhaps for a minute or two, or four. 😂🚜
Even stuck in the mud, fendts are still beautiful tractors

Those dont come anywhere close to the weight he pulls, their biggest is only 60k and their very short. Hed need to carry 6 of them.

Mike. With the. Amount of moisture you are getting. You should just. Broad cast and use a light tractor to harrow in
When I see diamond willows alongside a field it tells me it's pretty wet. Be worth 2 minutes to jump out and see the conditions

Hi Mike, I liked your comment ,"it's a little damp, and I didn't make it". Another great video great content.
You are winning and losing the North farm stuck contest. 😂
For those types of conditions you need a little 36-40 ft age 8810 with a 350 bushel tank.
Small but lite.
Drills are so heavy.
Mike, never mind, nice picture from Fendt stuck though💪
You’re the top runner in the stuck contest which bathrooms you have to clean now
Mike can start off with cleaning mine if he feels like he needs the practice. 😂🤣😂
Fendt has a tire pressure system for those tractors, maybe it could be handy?
Anyone who has farmed has gotten too brave around a slough or lagoon as we call them. I always told my dad the tractor was determined to try it.
Great video Mike
R2s are amazing.

Rookie mistake! Ha ha lol. Best wishes.
Salut Mike magnifique vidéo et le tracteur et le semoirs est plate et sortir 😂😮😅😊
🤒🤒🤒🤒
Big LSWs are cheaper than duals I think. Fendt Vario Grip would be nice as well.
Again both of those are an unnecessary expense

hate when tractors left mud on Highway
I'd be using the 9280.
its time for a north stuck list!
Morning
July 11 - 13 Ritchie auction near you 🎯
Well,we all prayed for you to get rain ,but we evidently didnt speak to theLord about regulation of moisture.our bad!!!
Farm progress being a dieing show I think is an understatment of what it used to be.
Wednesday July 3 2024 2:03pm central time,,, guess you will be cleaning the bathroom all summer long 😊😅
I think they call that operator error. lol
them sloughs were left for a reason. Plant.late flax.
Duels in the future maybe?
Is there a point in which it’s not worth it to mess around with trying to seed the sloughs?
I believe one year Mike sowed almost 2000 acres of Slough grounds, I'd say that is worthwhile wouldn't you? 🤔
Use the 9380 on there
hard worker
How much pressure you have on your 930's tires? Looks like bit too much
I'm stuck again naturally anybody pull out anybody pull out

Lots of weeds in the sloughs it seems, don't they need to be sprayed ?
Do you still have the case 9380? Wouldn’t that pull better in the mud with 8 wheels?
Poor hydraulics would have a hard time running the drill

Hello Mike. May be it's time to invest in a new bathroom scrubber !!
Mike when you going to learn to always carry a strap with you 😂
That will cost you 20 bucks 😁.
👋😊
In Europe, farmers attach a 930 to equipment 1/10 of this size... who is wrong ?
But in Europe we pull our equipment much deeper in the ground or use more complicated machines so I think it's the same
Also in Europe crops yields are massively higher most years. European farming is intensive, Canadian farming is extensive. Both are suited to their environment.
A tenth that size?! That wouldn’t even be as wide as the tractor!
Also not a stuck
Would it make financial sense to fill in all the slews so that you don’t get stuck and then you can seed these area’s for production. Just wondering. I love your channel but know nothing about farming.😊
Why take such a Mickey Mouse tractor for that drill Mike 😉 how could you get stuck 😅
👍
I would think to quit seeding is a good idea if you can keep top dressing fertilizer. Might make more yields. Has the cost of fertilizer gone down?
So is that a Cartoon or a 6 pack?
Are you at north farm
Yes

I'm sure there must be a good reason not to use the Case 580, but it wouldn't get stuck pulling that little drill through those muddy slews.

The moral of the story. Stay out of the mud.

Winging up would put all the drill weight on the center tires and make it worse! They would sink outta sight!
Who goes out seeding sloughs wth a single wheel tractor with no strap?
Can't stand those high horse tractors on singles.
Does it count as a stick if you get yourself out??!
Definitely driver error, bmo pay for that day, lol
your still to small on power, end. You need, ljke than, one older4 wheel drive CIH with tripples zero weight no weight. Floating is the name,of,the game
