- Today finds us deep in the hills of western Virginia metal detecting and exploring new permissions. We start out on a farm that has two hand dug, stone-lined, water wells and evidence of bottle dumps and old foundations. After lunch, we moved to another location to metal detect an old stone foundation deep in the woods.

This is from yesterday's hunt. I had a lot of fun and hope to get back down there again soon.
Sir how do they dig the well without it caving in?
I can understand constructing a square well using wood as supports.
Perhaps they dug making a square whole then replace it with a circle.

We were happy to have you. Come back anytime!!
I'm always fascinated by the construction of the wells. It's hard to imagine anyone digging and stacking those stones/rocks as deep as they go. Thanks for another adventure as there is always something for me to learn.
I had the same thought. I think perhaps they make a square hole with wood to support it and when they are coming up put the circular stones in and remove the wood.
You're not even going to talk about that big old Buck rub in the background at 28:48? Haha! Fun times, thanks for sharing!
The wagon was cobbled together from parts. What is there was not original to any truck or car because the back axel is bolted direct to the frame. No springs or suspension there. 15:34
The front was built in a similar way.
Part Of The Fun Is Just Seeing What's In The Grond . 😎👍✌.
Monthy dues for all that you do. Thanks, Beau.
Thanks so much Tom. You're the best!
@@aquachigger Does that buy me a "Meet and Greet"? LOL. We may never meet, Beau, but so many of us feel as if you are a personal friend. Your kindness is incomparable. Can't imagine anyone arguing with that.
Your wrap up looks like most of "my" wrap ups, all the time, lol. I enjoyed your animal pics and your generosity & patience to Trevor. Good luck next time Chig! Rk.
I absolutely love the longer videos! ❤
I sure enjoyed this- especially all the critters.
Find the outhouse & dig that. That is where the bottle stash is.
Those cattle ❤. Adorable. Gate. Vehicle traffic. Hard digging. Harder than a pasture field, softer than a strip job. Good luck finding a nice, plowed field lol. Your hard work is much appreciated.
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
Merry Christmas to you, Mrs. Chigg, and your army.
Hey Chigg I think? I believe? I found the biggest silver coin hoard ever in Australia 😮 over a thousand Florins and a hundred shillings...check it out Dude!!! Good seeing you catching up with Captain Billy again you two together are a screeeaaammm!!! 😂😂😂 🙂👍⛏️ Happy Christmas mate 🎄🧉🎉
I like the last site and yeah the mill site for sure could hold something interesting. Thanks Chgg
This adventure or the next, there i always something for me to learn. I appreciate you, Professor.
If you give the Mud Dobby's owner's a Sock you set them free from "Harry Plopper!" Beau 😂😅!!!; )
looks like they were changing the weather with the contrails @ 4:40
I would say that stone foundation on the side of hill was 4 making pig iron. Bring the limerock down the hill process ore that was brought in on the road by wagon or dug off the side of the hill. The horses pulling the wagons would have had big shoes. The finished iron goes out on wagons or down the hill to the mill to be floated out
I can't believe harmonicas were that popular. You seem to find one every dig!
At 28:45 the chrome piece appears to have in the background a nice buck rub.
I wonder if that place in the woods was once some kind of roadhouse with a livery stable and a blacksmith. Those broken and removed horseshoes, lots of spoons, maybe a fenced in livestock area. I wonder too if it wasn't some kind of a dump area later on with the more modern stuff. Nice video.
Love yor vids! Greetings from Latvia!!
That round brass/copper thing from the first trash pile could be a Jangle from a tambourine.
Nice accumulation! Thanks for letting us tag along!
Great adventure, I enjoyed the farm. Love those cows👍
Thanks for the video! Enjoyed watching.
Man i love seeing farms, so beautiful. What great property. Farms with woods connected are the best. So much history in those places.
Thumbnail llooks like Chiggs holding a rolled stogie 😄
Cool stuff. Cool finding always digging up history
I never have any luck on the farms, not much money lost on the farm and always plenty of junk. So, location, location is the tune to play. Keep on truckin.
Hey chigg.... I dont know how many people was on that dig. But at 11:39 looks like at top right, on the fence corner, you have three people just walking out of view. But I didn't see anyone else in the video apart from you and the farmer with his kid. I didnt see any metal detector in their hands...ghostly lol
Anyway, thanks again for another good video 👍
Small shack with respectable chimney? Sugar shack? Iron forge? (With the pig iron and wedges, it make sense).
It seems all those critters have an idea on where the "gold" coins are! Thanks Chigg!😊
May I suggest that the pig iron you found could be the basic iron for a blacksmith shop that was on the farm? Blacksmiths needed material to form into tools and other thingd.
Enjoyed the video. Love this kind of hunt, even if you don't find a lot of good stuff.
Fun hunt Chiggs. Love the fur babies. I hope you go back soon.👍👏😀
Nice hunt 👍👍❤️
Howdy from indiana. Mr. Chigg
Mr Fuzzy was giving Chigg the crook eye .

Thats a dart to inject medicine.
29 minute mark looks like a froe blade thats been broken.
Howdy Chigg ! Thats they way things go. Take the bad with the good. Have you ever found a jar or tin full of coins? I like dating stuff too! Ya never know what you might dig up. ! It really amazes me the stuff one finds.
👍Trevor !
Hey Chigg and Trevor
That Ax or wedge part may be part of an adz.
How many chickens does the farmer have? I grew up in the Country side, in New Zealand,
Nice and cooool
14:10 looks like a drawer handle or part of it.
Are the sheep always Scared?! Or is it just you?!?!
Karl Frisch, Fairfax County Virgina school board member swears in with his hand on a stack of banned books.
hey , Themz what we call Hippie cows - Many acres are just pastures
I heard the Maury River mentioned. Does that mean you were in Rockbridge county?
Also live there but didn’t recognize Trevoror the area.
At minute 23 there is a sheep with a long tail. I have never seen that.
Do farmers traditionally clip them at birth like a pit bull, or is that just a special sheep?
👍👍☃☃
That rock looked like a giant big toe or thumb.
Pocket knife or was it a strait razor 👍🏻
262nd like, what is the best place to go metal detecting? I was thinking beaches, parks, local woods
Chemtrails @4:40
Dont you think that iron could be a celt of dome sort.
Deer rub at 28:43 ?🦌
You folks look like you have the same type of activity in your sky that we here in Ontario have. It is every where. Any concerns out there ?
I've been watching Beau from day one , but OMG.. at 4:38 it is really bad.. Chemtrails everywhere..🤢
good to see that at least a couple of us even noticed and are aware of this dark program going on around the world.
It's really bad here in California. It's sad. @@glennbolder2722

It was good to see Trevor. But, I miss Cory.
