Welcome back! So happy to hear that you were visited by mystery-muscle for your green house. What an uplifting surprise. It made me feel glad way over here in the USA! The plot looks good. Bye-bye, Bags of Evil (bindweed)! Fingers crossed for your bulbs 🌹
Isn't that lovely that likely your fellow gardeners helped with the greenhouse! They like you! No surprise! You should make time to sit and watch your garden. It is great for mental health.
Just a thought... In the back spot cover it over and put a little 6x4 shed there so you can sit have a cuppa and watch the birds and have a thinking spot, plot looks fantastic and it's defo come along way, you should be sooo proud.
Once you get the greenhouse centered back on the foundation, you probably want to either attach it to the bricks with brackets, or you could put some metal stakes in the corners and attach it to the stakes.
All gardeners do a lot of standing around solving problems, thinking things through, and planning in our heads. Spiders don’t bother me but where I live we have a lot of garden snakes and I hate snakes!!
Quite a few people cut the barrels add holes to the bottom, and plant small trees, perennials, all sorts of things. One person used "glow in the dark" paint, making spooky faces just for fun. Certainly unique. 😄
Your plot is looking great Seren. I love this time of year when I can look year my plot and plan what to plant . Great to have fellow plot holders putting your greenhouse back on the bricks. They obviously like you !
Rodents and daffodils don't work because the daffodil bulbs are toxic. I don't know if they're deadly, but I do know rodents (voles, etc) won't dig there. In front of the greenhouse would make a great place for a deep container of some sort for flowers, trailing would be beautiful. You have good people there, doing things for others behind the scenes. That's always a good indication of the way people will behave. Someone mentioned putting a mail box in the middle of the garden for small tools and stuff like strings, etc. it's possible to lock, and is weatherproof. Just an idea.
Congratulations Seren on passing the ten thousand subscribers mark in less than a year . Your plot is looking fantastic after all the hard work you put in . Happy sowing, growing and hoeing in 2025 .
I'm a 44 year old Australian woman who now lives in the UK and I find your videos so informative and helpful now that I am trying to grow in the UK :) Thank you xxx
I think you should put a shed where you have been clearing. Put in a little camping stove, couple of chairs and table and sit and enjoy your work there
May I suggest putting down paver stones on the bed area in front of your greenhouse? The stones will block the light and hopefully not allow marestail or nettles to grow. It would allow you to put planters on top. In a season or two, the earth will have fewer weeds, and hopefully work like a regular bed. Looking forward to following you in the coming season!
Happy New Year!!! Looking forward to the new year! Good vibes are coming your way. There’s something about keeping the “entry” clear and vibrant to encourage good fortune enter the garden.😊
I cant wait to see how the plot does in 2025 as with last yearr you done an amazing job, everything grew really well, even if slugs got to some stuff, your harvests was amazing and proper great fresh home grown veg to and the plants you put in done so well to, think i need you to look after my plants as what you grew did so well, keep up the great work and i hope you have a better harvest thus year, good luck for your plot. I'm really impressed with what you have dine with the plot as iv watched every video you have dine and from video 1 to this one, what you have done with the plot from the state it was in to the way it is now, it looks great and you have dine an amazing job with the plot and for a young person who is growing there own veg to, I'm so proud of you and with what you have done to so far in the plot, I just hope this year is twice as productive at least for you, keep up the great work and look forward to seeing your videos every time you post them
I missed you Seren! I too, stand and just look at my garden. I’m thinking about what I will be planting and what needs repair. Many years ago I read a book about the creative process (I don’t remember the title of the book), but it explained the time artists spend just thinking and not actually making can be termed as CREATIVE IDLENESS. How interesting is that! You are not wasting time when you do this. Right now, here in New York it is absolutely freezing. Windchill temperatures are about 25º Fahrenheit. We are expecting snow. So I just spend time at my window looking out to my garden and being creatively idle! I envy you for being able to go out to your allotment to do some work. I so enjoy seeing you on your journey. Looking forward to your next episode. ❤
The plot looks amazing compared to how it was a year ago, well done. I’d keep the shower screens along the back fence to stop the brambles coming through from behind the fence.
Just today I came home with 9 packets of different zinnia and sunflower seed varieties! For your back area, I would suggest putting something down to deter weeds, then having a row of birdfeeders and houses, since you enjoy them so much. You could also add a feeder that has a cage around it to keep out larger birds.
Thanks Seren, and a belated Happy New Year to you ! Thanks for the plot update, sorry to see the storm damage to the greenhouse but that aside you start this year in such a better place than you did last year, I'm sure it will be a great year for you !
Happy New Year! Here in Colorado, my garden is under about 4 inches of snow and the temperature overnight will be about -17°C. I have every intention of being a hermit until at least March. I enjoy your videos because it's nice to see a garden that isn't a cousin to the arctic circle.
How lovely to have a mystery greenhouse shifter. What nice surprise. Standing and staring at the garden, soaking it all up, is definitely something I catch myself doing at times too. Nice to see you back. Well done on 10k subs too. 🎉
good to see you again i was worried about you. you look great with glasses. You will get it under control, learning what to plant and what not to is part of the experience.
Hi Seren, great to see you back on your plot. I find your videos so relaxing and comforting to watch and love seeing all the birds you have visiting ❤ looking forward to seeing what you get up to on your plot this year, it's looking fantastic 🎉
I think the Robins and Squirells clubbed together one night and moved your greenhouse for you. Keep feeding them, you'll never know what they do next...
The amount of time I stand around and just think about where things could go or what new project I could start are incredible 😄 I suppose the creativ thinking parts always claims its time. I'm loogking forward to seeing your garden this year! 😊 Have you started any seeds indoors yet?
Hi Seren! Any thoughts of putting down some weed block at the front of the plot and then putting some of the plants in buckets there? Like I see the fig is up there already, you could paint the old water butt and put it up there with some trailing flowers in it like petunias?
By watching RUclips gardeners it keeps this older gardener going, on Saturdays do half a hour then rest, stop at 5 have a 2 hour break then work until am tired, first thing before work(work from home) garden 7.30 to 8 am Monday to Friday. Garden in New Zealand, summer at the moment,
Happy New Year from 🇨🇦, Seren! I, too, have been spending a lot of time looking at my garden recently but from inside as it has been too cold outside. Hoping for an awesome gardening year for both of us!❤
Looked like you moved a piece of glass/plastic at the back where the water butt is - could you use it to help repair the greenhouse - is it the right size 😀 I always do the job I really don't want to do first to get it out of the way then the rest doesn't seem so bad 🧑🌾 could you put a seating area where you're clearing at the back 🫖☕🪑🪑
Hi-I’m old and think I know everything and have heard it all. I try not to share too much because I love your channel and don’t want to be a nuisance. But I did find something interesting that you may like to use for starting seeds as the greenhouse has been damaged. To save time, start at 12 minutes for 2 tips ruclips.net/video/AOydS3dJHCo/видео.htmlsi=e2h5HA91zTRhprCz it’s a use for plastic jugs/bottles as a mini greenhouse to just plant seeds in the open, and even harden them off as well for that matter. It’s a pretty decent idea as well as the one after to protect against frost. I’m always looking to recycle and use something easily available. Most of the other tips are okay but pretty well known. She does give a good source for finding cardboard in the tip just before these two…those taller pallets at Tesco/supermarkets. And later there is a tip of using poundland wire wastepaper baskets as deterrent to animals eating new plants… I don’t know what to do to protect your bulbs though. I have the same problem with our squirrels and chipmunks!
People see how hard you’re working so they decided to help you out a little with the greenhouse. You should take that as a great compliment.
Standing around looking at things is one of the important things of gardening. Don't feel bad! ❤
Totally agree!!
Just imagine how wonderful life could be if
ALL school children spent a day each week on their own school garden
I fully agree, my 6 yr old granddaughter loves digging up and planting in our allotment. Great foundation for them ❤

Shed at the back, camping stove so you can sit and have a coffee with your plot neighbours.....that's what i do.
Just look at how far you have come from last year . Your doing brilliantly and your garlic is doing really well 😊
@@SowsmallGrowtall thank you! coming up to a year on the plot now! 🥰🌱✨
It's all looking good. So pleased someone repositioned your greenhouse for you. Look forward to the next instalment. Take care

I had a drum on my plot which I’ve cut in half to use for growing carrots, keeping them above the height of carrot root fly hopefully
Quite a few people cut the barrels add holes to the bottom, and plant small trees, perennials, all sorts of things.

@ 🤣 that would definitely be spooky.
Go back and look at the plot the first time you saw it, you should should be soo proud of yourself 😂❤

Maybe you should put your shed in the back where all the nettles grow. It might be a pain to try to clear out all the weeds etc to grow plants.
Congratulations Seren on passing the ten thousand subscribers mark in less than a year . Your plot is looking fantastic after all the hard work you put in .
Happy sowing, growing and hoeing in 2025 .
Such lovely footage of the birds! There’s nothing better than watching nature. You should do the big garden birdwatch next weekend 🎉
😊🐦Happy new year x
Perhaps the robin organized a work detail to reseat the greenhouse.

Ahh I really wanted to be able to hop over there an give you a helping push and lift with that barrel 🥰
"Starting the jobs I do not want to do" - now that's a honest title if I ever saw one 🙃
@@georgecarlin2656 I guess it is 🙃😂😂
I'm stuck with doing the same thing, unenjoyable, tedious, and some are taking more time than I am happy with.
@ninemoonplanet Are you talking about gardening or life in general?

Great start for 2025 🎉well done you
Potty Mouth garden show is looking for a female allotment gardener for their show. I think you would be great on it.

Wish I lived closer so I could come help you with your log pile. I’d make friends with the bugs for you while you watch the birds 😂
Nettles and comfrey can be cut down and put into your compost if it comes back
You might want to do black weed cover for the back fence to reduce weeds coming through. Like your neighbor appears to have.

Put rodent wire under the bed as well as on top. It does work
I was just thinking the same thing.
Marestail is harmless to your plants .You just have to keep pulling it but it won't stop your flowers coming up Seren .
Congratulations on 10k! 👏 👏 👏

Another lovely video Seren 😊 I loved watching the birds too 🐦
Happy new growing season to you. You do keep the garden well. Nettle are a bind but they must be removed because they grow fast.
Good to see you back
Lovely to spend time with you on your plot again Seren. You have achieved so much🌸🌿
