You'd think, but if you fly over El Mirage, CA in google maps or bing maps, you can see a ton of marijuana grows, many of which aren't legal.

Looks like this was a business deal gone wrong. I doubt this was simply a sale for personal use. Most likely some people were buying large quantities of marijuana to sell illegally.

It's in the Desert at the northern end of San Bernardino County. The cartels have been gaining a foothold there for years, with people going missing or being found dead. It's just not usually talked about.
