  • @MrSpurs

    I don’t understand what people expect - we have a squad that can’t rotate against a team that made 9 changes in the league cup. It’s only the second time this season Liverpool have conceded more than 2 goals and we were playing against an amazing attacking line. We could have parked the bus and maybe lost 2-0 but how is that any better? In the word of Bill Nicholson “it’s better to fail aiming high than succeed aiming low” that’s exactly what Ange is doing.

    • @jirskyrjenkins1959
      @jirskyrjenkins1959 18 дней назад +1

      Exactly my point - would parking the bus have even got us a draw? Previous managers playing turtle and hoping to counter with Kane+Son, we usually always got broken down and I got tired of watching us give the ball away and conceding late. Esp when Dragusin is not competitive in the air right now, reminds me of fielding Dier.

      @@stanleyliu2450 So would you have liked us to turn up with a rotated team? Austin, Reguilon, Udogie, Werner, Johnson, Whiteman (I guess he could play as the striker)? That's it for our mens team, everyone else is injured.

      @Mark-pz9xw 18 дней назад

      @@jirskyrjenkins1959He didn't have to 'park the bus' but he could have played a little deeper, not left two at the back and just made some in-game tweaks (like settling it down at 2-1). Isn’t one the many aspects of the game decision making? When to track runs? When to cover space? Have we all been imaging this for the few hundred years? Why is it so controversial for him to say that sometimes the players made the wrong decisions and didn’t mange situations well? That’s not throwing them under the bus, it’s just a basic observation they’ll be fine with. And if you actually *want* and are *instructing* your players to make the decisions we’re seeing, how on earth can you not expect a reporter or fans to question such tactics that are giving away chances and goals like Christmas presents? Is this just a kick about with his mates or something? Some either serious denial or gaslighting going on with this man.

    What's happened is that teams have learned how to exploit the tactics, and they know what we're going to try and do every time. They soak up our pressure, exploit the flanks and cross the ball within unlimited space. We haven't been unlucky, but lucky it's lasted this long. You have to adapt depending on your opposition at the top level. This isn't Scotland, Japan or Australia.

      exactly the point I made weeks ago, Ange is discovering that his tactics do not work in the Premier League, this is NOT Australia, Japan or Scotland where the attack attack attack tactics can get you success when you are the top spenders in your league all over the park. The Premier League is a different world when you re the 10th highest spending club and the opponents have class ALL OVER THE PITCH and can easily kill a game with counter. Fan power will settle the argument.

Play a counter team?? We clearly don’t don Have the defensive capabilities to handle that, and when you’re down in a game you need to be aggressive and push your players up to try and score more.

    His useless style of play won't win nothing we have no leader to boss the defence no leader to control the midfield. We have 2 keepers who can't play out from the back & very rarely go long to give players a breather to regroup instead our defenders keep putting us under repeated pressure usually from panic poor passes or out of position players, we have a non existent midfield leaving vast areas of space to hurt us game after game. We can't string more than four passes together without losing the ball. Set pieces we cant defend & we usually squander 9/10 of our set pieces & yet he can't see none of this & he is starting to look a bit frayed around the edges just like the fans have for weeks. His tactics worked in scotland because lets be straight he only had 1 team for competition but here in the prem he has been well & truly found out to be nothing more than bang avg at best. He has proved beyond all reasonable doubt a few tweaks & a couple of changes with a much better game management plan is not on his to do list anytime soon. Any manager worth his money will tell you that you build a team from the back & yes i know we have 10 players down through injury & suspension most of the injuries are a direct result of our players being run into the ground. Someone needs to tell ange work smarter not harder! Groundhog day will be with us until he understands some simple basics & principles, maybe someone should buy him ghengis khans book on strategy for xmas because im sick to death of my club being turned into a weekly laughing stock by other fans pundits presenters fkn sick of it! 💙
