Wish Sienna got this treatment, She overcome and finally reigns her pyromania and turn into something greater. Not an Incarnate of Aqshy, that's Ungrim. But something more. Maybe a vessel of Taal? Or whatever fire gods the Empire men worship. Or even a master of fire, a true master.

I kindda expected a blessed Victor without the armour. But I'm guessing casting blessings automaticly gets him included in the priesthood.
I thought he was going to become a priest of Ulric thanks to his Middenland heritage, though him re-finding his faith in Sigmar is great too.

The greatest thing about this trailer is that Sigmar sees Saltzpyre as worthy for his support and answers his call.

Fun fact: in older lore Sigmar "gifts" were just winds of magic chanelled unconciously by his priests (Teclis feels it when he come to aid the Empire during the great war against chaos).

What I love here is Saltzpyre is showing he’s their friend now. When Bardin asks him if he’s ready, Saltzpyre doesn’t get mad, he instead offers if anything a jovial line that shows their friendship “have I ever let you down?” Is such an incredibly far change from his first game lines of “don’t fear the ratmen, fear me”
Of course it’s still him inside instructing the dwarf to have patience

As a man of faith myself, I can confirm that when one is as certain of their faith as a warrior priest (or priest of any sort tbh) it is a truly invigorating thing. Rarely am I upset or angry anymore, barring those times when dealing with heresy, there is just something about true, unshakable faith that is joyous and lighthearted.

That's the beauty of the Old World, tbh.
Sure the Empire is getting shittier by the hour and your life is definitely going to end whenever some goatman/ratman/chaos fucko comes to your town to absolutely murderskullfuck you, but there's genuine passion and hope in the characters, and they're very humane in that they truly believe what they do is worth it.
And honestly, that's why Warhammer Fantasy was always the better of the two Warhammer.

Warhammer's trailers have this problem that the good guy always loses or gets corrupted, but seeing a warriorpriest standing his ground with german accent while prays for Sigmar is just refreshing and amazing.

The only character for whom the classes feel like progression. From proud inquisitor to disheartened soul who lost hope to religious fanatic on brink of insanity to resurfacing on the other side finding stable footing in same faith that almost drowned him.
I just came back recently but are careers supposed to be a continuity? Like Kerrilan being a Waystalker, then becoming Maiden etc (whatever order really)?
I thought they were alternate versions or paths that each hero could follow. Because I have a hard time believing that Kruber became a Grail Knight after being a Foot Knight or Huntsman.
@@Shamanteng You are correct, career paths do not represent the canon continuity of the characters. AFAIK 4th careers of the characters (OE, GK, SOTT and WP) are considered to be the canon transformation of characters in the end of the Vermintide 2 plot, so yeah, Kruber did find his solace in serving The Lady, Bardin started doing what he liked in the first place, engineering stuff, Kerillian gave herself to the Weave and Saltzpyre has refound his faith in Sigmar

@@MsHaiducu Yes, there is no coming back from the slayer oath, but these careers do not represent the career they have taken, but just the possibility of it.
AFAIK Bardin was ranger veteran throughout vermintide 1 and 2 and in the end decided to be just a OE.
This trailer gave me chills. I remember one time i played with a mate and two randoms on this particular map. We on the 2nd highest difficulty (the one below legend, forgot what its called) and we were getting our asses handed to us at the last stage. I was playing zealot, my mate was bardin and we had a sienna as well. The kerrillian left as soon as the last wave started, after she died once. For the first 1 minute, everything went well, until people started to fall. We still managed to revive each other, but the spawn rate started to overtake our kill rate. The last attempt of revive i did was me going backwards, fending off skaven and trying to reach bardin. I almost managed to rez him before the horde reached me. Once i saw the attack animation i had to cancel the revive, because i was the last one alive. My friend told me over discord "just leave me, i'll watch your back" (referring to spectator mode). So that i did. I went to the middle next to the statue of His holiness Sigmar, and fought for my life. It was incredibly stressful, avoiding ranged enemies while also consistently blocking attacks. But after a while, i entered a trance state. I was simply one with my weapon. Each swing took 3-5 skaven lives, and each block parried blows of chaos champions that would've instantly killed me. I was hyperaware of my surroundings, slaughtering any who dared to breach my flanks. I was a whirlwind of righteous judgement. My mate simply stopped saying anything, and the random sent a "wow" in chat. After what felt like an eternity, the statue of Sigmar finally lit up, and purged the rest of the taint. I ran back towards my companions and brought them to their feet, finally making our escape.
This was the single most indescribably amazing moment in my gaming history, and I want to thank Fatshark for making it possible. Cheers.

Been playing him nonstop and I have to say you really nailed this one fatshark. The moment your hammers light up you feel like such a powerhouse. Also this entire spec makes Victor feel like his own steamtank, so his wish did kinda come true.
This is my favorite game, so torqued right now.

I am happy to be proven wrong. i thought we were gonna get a radical inquisitor class. something along the idea of binding demons and chaos energies to fight chaos. similar to gregor eisenhorn. that would have been really cool, but im also happy with warrior priest. and it's also nice to see saltzpyre talking about hope for others. its a small, and subtle change in motivations that i like. he's no llonger fighting just to punish. he's fighting to save.

@@PixelWolv He is, and his book series has him going from hardline Puritan to shifting further and further to the Radical mindset as the various enemies he encounters force him to increasingly heretical means to deal with the enemies of the Imperium.
Being an Inquisitor is not a fun job.
Saltzpyre's lines are good and all but for me personally nothing beats Kerillians "If i was a door, i would be the best door, obviously, but where would i be?"

Grail Knights have the same stats as chaos warriors. So regular GK could take on 1 CW. He does not nullify the danger. But he is Kruber, so there's that.

I don't think I've seen any game get as much love and attention to detail from the devs as Vermintide 2 has. Fatshark deserves serious kudos.
