I should add its been near a week now using the attachment and not once has the hose fallen off, when youre paying a premium I'd expect this not to be an issue - now I love using the saw again! Be-lucky peeps X
Oh my effing gawd. I watched this and bought one immediately. The crap I've put up with pausing a cut to readjust the hose. Drives me nuts. You are a public service! Thanks
Hello my friend, I had a similar hose issue with a few tools I used. You have solved the Festool hose problem. This is a really frustrating issue. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing the details. See you later. big greetings. stay healthy and happy. (my friend got the notification and I watched it right away. I think I'm the first to watch it)
You said you would buy a mafell for the scribe function, what about a makita, that has a scribe. I was really happy with mine. The reason I mention it is because I love mafell but I saw a demo video of the mafell and when you use the scribe feature it actually scribes at an offset to the cut line and not on the cut line. (pretty sure I understood it correctly, and not sure if it has been altered now.) so joints appear to have a slight gap. Anyway thanks for another informative video with a great solution, nice one mate, you really would think that at that price point festool would have figured it out.
Its not just that point though, but a nice function to have say when cross cutting expensive ply for say a table top, im not making cabinets mind, valid point though that you have said, the power of the Mafell saw is slightly better than the Festool, the track joining system is better. Arguably the guide rails are better too, its a two horse race though imo, ive had Dewalt and Makita and theyre just not nearly refined like the festool and mafell, the dewalt saws are way to loud too, ive never had perfect mitres from makita or dewalt, theyre for site work to me, not fine work. BUT... I would add a dewalt chop saw in addition to my workshop that cuts nothing but 90 degree cuts all day long.
@@HewAndAwe at the time i just couldn't justify the additional cost of festool, the makita served me well, mafell are great but again couldn't justify the outlay. Now I'm rebuilding my tools I still have to go easy for now on expenses. I once bought ten mafell track saws at screwfix along with a Honda generator, 5 dewalt and 5 makita sds drills along with many other lovely items......... Screwfix had screwed up on their website prices and put everything for sale at £39.99😂🤣 needles to say they didn't honour my order 😭😭 and that was the closest I got to a mafell.
That’s mint!! I ended up fucking the collar off a long time ago and just jamming the hose into the saw, it comes off a lot less ha! Think I’m gonna go for the TS60, bit more power than the 55
I’ve screwed the fucker on once, drove me nuts! The T60 must be a new saw? I’ve got the 85 for deep cuts but it’s a heavy sod, I can recall loads of times I wish the 55 cut 5mm more!!! I hope you had a lovely Christmas! 🍻😊🍻

Amen to that! Boy was I sick of that shit!!! 😤

Thanks buddy, yeah its usually the sanders 😂
@@HewAndAwe you're welcome mate. see you anytime. big greetings.
Cool fix well done dude
Cheers Paul 🍻
Where did they go?
Who?

Good lad - just ordered one
They should send you a second one to say thanks 😉
To be honest I probably havent done them any favours, my vids dont get seen by many... ☹
@@HewAndAwe argh irrelevant, it'll get seen by those who need it most ;) That's targeted product placement :P
Looks like a clever solution to the problem. Like that Swanky with a S reference, lol 😜👍
Mad its taken so long to sort out mate, but I'm way happier now!
Shame there is no TS 75 option
Are you sure the 55 doesn’t fit? I swap mine to the 85 it’s the same fitting.
Seems the link doesn't work anymore. Do you have an updated one or what I should search for? :)
I'll ask about and see if its still available and let you know.

All these issues are solved with the FEBQ-model. At least for me I did not have any of those issues.
Mines the REBQ model, curious what’s the difference bar the hose attachment? I can’t see any differences…
Hallelfeckinlujah .. long overdue!
Isn't it just!!!!!!! Man I cant tell you how nice it is to use now with out getting a face full of dust!
Swanky Scribe, you beauty 🤗👏🏾💙
I hope Festool have to pay out a shit load to buy the design! 😂
The swivel hose ends come off ALL THE TIME too, which is almost as bad 🤬!! I find that Festool just does some dumb ass design at times.
Yeah for sure, like the grove cutter why the fuck they made it cut from 16mm, 12mm would of been very useful! I hope you had a lovely Christmas! 🍻😊🍻
