Thanks for this video Peter. I was under the impression that the extractor had to be sent to festool for Bluetooth fitting, didn’t realise it was such a simple install!
Peter, Thank you for these videos. They are very informative. The backwards compatibility to a 2012 CT26 amazes me, but not that Festool planed for it. A good reason to buy Festool is their future planning/integration.
I've actually used the festool drill vacum attatchment a few times, which is very handy, easily drilling in my basement walls with no dust. Love this bluetooth system. Note; the drill attatchment also hooks to the wall with vacuum so I'm not using it connected via the battery, only the bluetooth button.
Hi Peter, I must say I absolutely love your videos please keep them coming 👍 I'm relatively new to woodwork so just getting going and I must say I've learned the hard way that cheap tools really are evil when your looking for precision cuts etc. I'm currently saving up for your parf guide system and will go from there 👍 great work Peter 👍 👏 💪 👌

Now that I know it works while on auto (or did I misunderstand) I'm going to get both of my ct 26 machines outfitted with bluetooth. I use the 21 ft or so hose all of the time in stairwells and such even with other lengths attached for about a 30 ft reach. I was using fastcaps plug in version but they didnt last because they are poorly built then they changed them and now they are worse... plus you could not use it to just clean up debris if it was on auto so more trips down the stairs... Thanks for clearing up that auto concern. I hadn't had time to thoroughly research it.
Hi William, Yes, I used to use a different system which required the extractor to be in the "On" switch position all the time. The kit was rubbish and did not last which proves that getting the right system is by far the best approach. Cheers. Peter
Hi Peter, mine came with the Bluetooth module and hose strap button, If I got another strap button for my other hose, I could then link them up but would I need to sink them each time, or will it remember both from now on? Cheers Phil
I was thinking about this as well, I have a ctl26 and also a ctl midi. I would only be interested if I can put the module in both and be able to use any tool/ button on any extractor. I have a 36mm hose I use sometimes for example.
@@ollianddelphine that’s tricky as the button would have to connect to two modules so it would need to reconnect each time because I would assume that the button will only be able to connect to one device at a time. The buttons are live permanently as they have their own battery and connect to the module (extractor) as soon as it is powered on and if the button could connect to 2 extractors, then you would find both extractors turning on (if they were powered) when the button was pressed. What might be useful for you is to set one device as the one that would be used manually (i.e where you have none festool powered devices or to be used for manual dust collection) and the other dedicated to the festool extractor powered tools? I have purchased another button and I will be testing out the 2 button/1 module option tomorrow and see how I fair.
@@philsexton5761 I agree that I don't think it will work as I want for now. I do think it could be done where you could set any number of different buttons to multiple machines, it would require perhaps an initial setup through an app or something then once set could work fine until re programmed.
Hi Ollie, I am not sure how Bluetooth works but have always assumed that there is a unique link between each pair of devices. However, I know my iPhone can be linked to multiple gadgets and so perhaps it is possible in this case. Assuming your Midi is already equipped for Bluetooth you might be able to get one remote switch to operate both. Perhaps an expert, reading this, can help. Cheers. Peter
Hi Henning, I think your machine is too old - the current version has Bluetooth built in but the CT Bluetooth gadget that I have shown only works with the CT26/36/48. Peter
Love your videos - you get to the point without fluff but also without losing detail and possible (probable??) questions from your viewers. Thank you!
Thank you so much. Cheers. Peter
Thanks for this video Peter. I was under the impression that the extractor had to be sent to festool for Bluetooth fitting, didn’t realise it was such a simple install!
Hi Aled, As you have seen, it is a very simple procedure. Cheers. Peter

Your videos are great Peter! I can always count on you to guide me through my Festool addiction.

Good morning Peter thanks for the video. I am always learning from your videos.

My remote wasn't paired like the instructions said it should have been; so, thank you for demonstrating how to do that.
Hi Peter, I've got your UJK PARF MK II GUIDE SYSTEM, it is astonishing! I just wanted to say thanks!!!
Hi Harrison (of the North), Excellent news - brilliant - cheers. Peter
Happy Holidays to you and yours Peter.

Am I correct in thinking there is a short overrun after the tool turns off to clear the hose ?.
Hi Nicholas, Yes, the overrun is designed to clear the hose of dust. Festool extractors are very well designed. Peter

Hi Bryan, Cheers. Peter
Well that’s just clever!!!!
I have an issue with the vacuum extractor from festool 36 E do you know any solutions 😢
What is the issue?
Peter great video but did you not make a similar video to this a few years ago?
It was mentioned in a video but people could not find it so I have made this stand alone version to make it easier for everyone. Cheers. Peter
Does this also work with the ctl midi Peter? It is an old version from 2013?
