@@LucidBeats Cool! I wish i knew more about video editing and design lol
This is so fire bro thank you, I have 3 questions for you after watching this vid
1. How long does it take you to come up with these chord progressions / melodies ?
2. How long does it take you in total to complete a sample like this ?
3. Out of 10 beats / samples you make, how many of them do you personally like ?
Thanks ahead of time if youre able to answer this, i just want to have more realistic expectations in my own process/creative journey
🤍 good questions
1. Chord progressions don’t take long, just a few minutes. I always keep them simple (in this sample it’s pretty much just 2 chords). I also use lots of similar ones in different samples.
For Melodies it depends - I either hear a melody in my head, which means I have it pretty much instantly. Or I’ll have to grab an instrument and play around until I find something, which might take like 5-10 minutes sometimes
2. Depends on the sample, sometimes everything flows, sometimes it takes some more work. I’d say about 1 hour to 2 hours max
3. Honestly pretty much all of them, I’d say 8/10. Because when I realize that it’s not going in a good direction, I usually just close the project and come back to it later or just abandon it. So whenever I finish a beat or a sample it’s gonna be a good one
@@LucidBeats This response really helps me ground my own musical journey. Thanks for taking the time to hit me back and keep making fire videos!! appreciate you !
