2007 Western Conference Semi Finals Game 1
The Spurs drew first blood in the series. Steve Nash poured in 31 points and dished out 8 assists but it wasnt enough as the Spurs were able to escape with the pivotal game 1 win Phoenix. Steve and Tony Parker collided heads late in the 4th. Parker was fine after a few minutes but Nash cut his nose open. He couldn't stop the bleeding enough to stay on the court for the rest of the game. He checked back into the game to score a big 3 pointer and a layup to bring PHX within 2 points with 1 minute to play. He started bleeding on the court so he had to be placed on the bench until the bleeding stopped. The Spurs expanded the lead to 110-106 with 10 seconds left and the ball before Nash was able to come back in. Without Nash on the court for the final minute, the Suns scored just 2 points on Amare Stoudemire free throws. This was the much anticipated rematch of the 2005 WCF. Most of us knew the winner of this series would win the title that year...THIS WAS THE FINALS as far as I'm concerned. I am a Spurs fan, but I feel for Nash here. He couldnt play when his team needed him most.

People forget just how fucking good Nash was
Indeed, and tough as well!
One of the top PG ever and greatest Suns player ever
He was hip check by Robert Horry
@Joel Johnson I agree with but now a day social media has lot to do with the selection of great player
People forget so many monstrous MVPs just cause they don’t win MVP many times or don’t belong into monster teams that wins it all!
@@JohanCruyff-the-Dutch-GOAT yes bro they included MVP than won once and they also included somw.who don't won MVP
Greatest moment ever was the nose bleed moment against the spurs. Dude came in for 5 minutes and hit like 3 threes to keep the Suns in it all while his nose was gushing with blood. I remember goin to school the next day in Phoenix and everyone had a band aid on their nose. Dude was a warrior and an inspiration.
Hell yeah im from the Rez and that was the thing
It sucks how much that other fella o vee overplayed the "foul" because honestly it was more that he side-headbutted Nash, not the other way around 🤷♂️smh
Stuart Opel That alone would have been enough, and yet it's not even the only moment of grit, enduring and toughness of Nash
You commented this on another vid about nash
Well he did hit parker forehead on purpose to try and stop parker from scoring, so no warrior there stupid LoL.
Who’s here after Booker injured his nose in the 2021 WCF?
Me
Me
Oh shit now that’s deja vu never think about that before
I was at the game saw it happen live!
Me
Nash was the most exciting point guard I've ever watched and right up there with Stockton in terms of toughness.
I think Nash was tougher, he played with one eye and a broken nose.
people used to foul Nash a lot, sometimes drawing blood.
+Great Namekman steph curry?
G.P. was pretty tough too, not to mention his trash talking skills ahha
did u just call steph curry tough? :/ u must have just started watching ball
Nash is simply amazing...
mary Rose Satairapan But he really is at his best when playing alongside Crosby and Stills.
You kissing ass!😂
This was when Phoenix had a real good team
don't sleep on the suns in the near future
Love & Success Follows Me oh no shit Einstein, really? you think so?
Nash made them good. He got back to back mvp these seasons. The suns were trash before. What Nash did to the suns has never been done with one player, but now there’s Lebron.
Vangundy Jason Kidd on the nets
@@peterock5046 Valid point but he ended up getting VC and RJ.
Steve Nash is the one that made me love basketball, watch basketball, and be a fan of pheonix suns
Yeah, me too. Stopped watching it when Jordan retired, and came back as a Suns fan because of Nash. Great player and human being.
Can't even spell phoenix right stupid!!!!
This guys a fucking legend
He was so good he could get 4 points off a 2 point shot.
And 6 points for 3 point shot
Huh
Hopefully Booker can pull a Nash and come back into the game
W
How *"come"*
This aged like milk
@@WhoAreYou905 theyre a win away from the finals but yeah they competed against 3 injured teams
And now he is in the NBA Finals
That Steve Nash was a tough son of gun man. I liked him in these years. I remember this game man, it was on sunday and I was watching it my Family I remember Steve Nash just going off with a bloody nose.
A warrior.. Many respect for him.
From France
Small player but big heart .
I remember this series like it was yesterday. Nash is a damn trooper.
It was this playoff game that led me to become an NBA fan
Emmanuel Wu you still ain't fam
Lots of respect for players like this.
Nash will never give up!
YEAH.
Who’s here after devin booker broke his nose against the clippers?
I thought booker was going to bleed out the same towards the end of the game like Nash did. Nash and booker some the sun's toughest guards.
Steve nash is a national treasure
missed the chance to say he is a NASHinal treasure
Mike Dikisaard Beat me to it
I vividly remember this game and Nash's heroics that was on display of bravery and courage this was reminiscent of the WWE bloodiest matches...something like Rick Flair getting busted up and still having at it in the ring. I knew at the time that it was out of the box but looking back in hind sight this man was ridiculous heroic.
i stopped watching basketball when he retired
I know right. When left it was like the end of an era.
Now he's coaching Steph Curry
+Herbert .Gatchalian I did the same thing. His third level soccer passing is nowhere to be seen in the league now. It's a shame because that's what made that team and his game, so much fun to watch.
+Caligrown92511 dude that's what I'm saying. I swear curry is just Nash 2.0
+Eat Fresh curry is no nash 2.0 ... curry looks to score every possession nash looks to pass
From all these hits, until he got to the lakers to the point he was weak, he is the toughest point guard & simply amazing!!!
Book and Pat brought me here
Who’s here after seeing devin booker get his noise busted ?
Me
Me
Nash took shots like a man. People talk about Westbrook now but Nash in the playoffs was getting hit left and right and still played. Parker on the other hand.....
Nash played like a boss!!
I love Steve Nash! I miss my suns winning! soon we will! I'm glad we have Booker and ready to start an era with him and hope Nash comes back to the suns to develop him or possibly coach him
Who else misses the old scoreboard?! Such a classic look!!
MVP
Wow, what a fucking incredible competitor. Dude has heart.
Devin Booker nose injury brought me here. It was also from the Playoffs
i dont want to live in a timeline where steve nash and amare stoudemire dont have a ring anymore
He got a ring with the Warriors as a developmental consultant.
WHOS HERE AFTER BOOKER HOLY SHIT
Me. Crazy how someone wore a shirt of Nash’s broken nose the same game Booker (apparently) broke his 😂
what a fierce competitor!
all time great show passer, love to watch
Steve nash has always been a tough person. And steve nash has always been a nice likable person too. Steve nash has always been the face of the phoenix suns franchise, and he definitely deserved to win a championship with the team that drafted him. I so wanted the suns to win a championship, the suns have came close many times to winning a title, but it's their defense that has kept them from winning a title.
Back when the Suns still had relatively decent uniforms. I don't know what they're wearing now. Something a European soccer club would have hanging in their lockers. Though the Suns really should return to the 90's Sunburst jerseys they had when Charles Barkley was there. The black alternate ones were particularly cool.
Steve Nash's pick and roll game was sooooo nice
We’re here because of devin booker and pat beverly
lol at the beginning on his first shot. the score goes from 0 to 4. steve nash is just that fucking good
every basket counts 4 points for him
2:42 great pass by Nash and an absolute beast of a spin move by Stoudemire =O
My fav player when he was with Phoenix during those years!
Here after Booker breaks nose
Exactly same scene Devin Booker 2021
I enjoyed watching Steve Nash play in his prime.
I'm been a die hard Spurs fan since David Robinson and seen all great PG play from then tell now. And I can honestly say Steve Nash very well might be the greatest PG I've witnessed. It's close between Nash and Cris Paul in my opinion. Both can shoot, and score in many ways, both great playmakers/passer.
damn what a baller! he played thru that bloody pulp he calls a nose wowwwww!
What a fabulous player
Nah man, they're hating you as a rival and that's good stuff in NBA. It shows respect and everything. Nash 4ever!
this is amazing quality for a 2007 game
i feel your pain nash mad respect.
two words: Tim Dounagy... the ref who bet on this series for the spurs to win and reffed them to victory
LOL ... whatever get you through the night.
One of the bloodiest player in my memory.
Love steve Nash and his game he is the most cluchest PG of all time and the best passer
You`re wrong man. Stockton were cluchest, lead Jazz to 5 NBA WCF and 2 NBA Finals and could defend and be a passer way more than Nash who never played or will play on a NBA finals. But of course Magic was the greatest passer and cluchest of all time as PG.
B. Entringer
Search for Jerry West
I love how nash broke his nose but parker acted like he was hurt more than him
Idiot Steve Nash fouled Parker on purpose to stop parker from scoring!
@@ScottSWS-wb8ky 🤣🤦🏽♂️
@@VPThirteen it's true facts! Nash is a whip and cry babie period!
I remember that series, Bowen deserved to be sent off so many times that the whole game became ridiculous.
Only the Lakers-kings series from 2002 had a more undeservig winner.
This is the best you will ever see from STAT, he's nothing without a great PG
And Parker went down like a little .... You can fill in the blank 😂
Nash is my favorite player ever.
Nash sucks!
whos here after devin booker nose injury
nash is so awesome that after he made his first shot, he got 4 points...
Steve freaking Nash is so good, my all time favorite PG. i would love to see Nash-Stoudemire vs Paul-Griffin.
damn I miss playoff series like this. even though I'm a suns fan and they lost this one, it was a great series because every game was tough (as in grind it out) and close.
THIS IS SOOOO FUN TO WATCH!!!!!
God, Nash was a rock!
That's a boss. When you have a deep cut and they won't let you play and you try too clear out up yourself to get your team the win
Nash needs a ring ! One of the smartest ballers ever !
I remember watching this game. Thank you for the upload
no problem
Heart of a champion
You know it was a good basketball game when that scoreboard was on TV
Damn this guy is GOOD!!
True LEGEND:)
Steve Nash is to beast!
Nash deserved that back to back mvps, I think people don't consider him great because he did not won championships, for me he is top 15 all time.
already a legend
Steve Nash is underrated
i remember this series. it's what made Phoenix hate San Antonio. The firt series they had i think was 2005 and that series was LEGENDARY. insanely good games. but this one was marred because of strange injuries and all those Phoenix players getting suspended. It could've been great. it was still really enjoyable to watch though.
Yeah it was a great series I just wish Nash left when he should've he would have had so many rings on another team.
What a warrior.
3:32 for nose
WOW WHERE IS THE FREAKING TRAINER.
Steve nash is so great!
The 07-08 Phoenix suns and today's phoenix suns are like two completely different teams
it's because he's Canadian....we grow up learning to play basketball on ice during a blizzard.
That’s pretty funny and cool
Wtf??...
Hes south african
@@moussakaii529 i was born in Europe but came to America when I was 1.......i identity as American.
@@moussakaii529 lol that’s like calling kyrie Australian instead of American
STEVE NASH IS BLOOD DOCTOR MAN IS STEVE NASH GREAT GAME 3 POINTS
Steve nash a fucking BOSS!!! Love that foo (:
Wooooah I can't believe Nash just took his soul what a Legend
If we shoot more threes and stayed together we could've won one.
-Steve Nash
This man would do anything for a ring
OH! what a stud.
My good old Suns :,) I miss them
Me to...
Phoenix curse WCF star player gets a bloody face
thats why i like steve nash
0:28, did I read that correctly? He actually scored six points on a 3 point shot?!!
it was an accident they changed it right after
Steve Nash never gives up and deserves to be in the hof.
The suns were supposed to be the 2007 champs. But alas the refs and the spurs played dirty... Again. Steve Nash, a Legend. Parker goes down like a baby, Nash Plays like a Hero for the suns, with a bloody face. Desperate to get back, but they don't want him to get back so they won't win. Steve Nash, 2 time MVP, 1st ballot hall of famer, and a future NBA champion... Also a Legend. I hope they retire his jerseys. Nos. #13,#10.
future NBA Champion? with which team will he accomplish that?
I see #13 being retired by the suns. I don't see the lakers retiring #10 for nash
U MAD BRO???
***** You're a fuckin liar. Spurs are the dirtiest, whiniest tam in pro sports. The series was rigged by the crooked ref and Stern, your daddy. Tainted championship just like the strike year. The San Anphonio Sterns never won two years in a row. No dynasty, just whining bitches on the court.
Lol dirty off bitch please the Spurs take every loss to heart and do not hire refs to cheat for them. And there wasn't even any bullshit calls throughout the whole game. And Parker goes down like a baby lol? You act like Parker was our go to player during this game.
He's a true a warrior, inspirational living legend. Take notes Leflop I mean lebron.
hes a true soldier
Why does Steve Nash look so tiny out in the court i mean damn he's 6'3
because the average NBA player is 6'8"
The song is Get Ready for This by the Dutch duo, 2 Unlimited.
It's only one of the most famous sports anthems from the 90s.
what a beast. And some players stay on the ground for 5 minutes if they scrape their knee.
