Jerry is simply a decent and honest man. Jerry will absolutely not tolerate shoplifting of reading material, he will even rat out his own uncle. However, Jerry seems to having no quams about robbing an old lady of her loaf of bread.
What interests me about Seinfeld is almost every guest star has a signature line or thing, Uncle Leo, David Puddy, J Peterman, Newman, Kenny Bania. Each character has something memorable about them and that's a small piece of what makes Seinfeld great.
How dare you forget the great George Steinbrenner and Jackie Chiles in the last 3 seasons. These two men, along with Fred Stiller who did Frank Costanza brilliantly, made Seinfeld even more successful in their finals seasons. Otherwise, I don't think the show would've competed like it did in Seasons 3 through 6 when the others you mentioned were a hit, especially Newman when he was arguing with Kramer in court because he got hit in the head by Crazy Joe Devola (yet another great side character!).
The fact we still talk about it with fondness more than 20 years after it finish show how good it is,. Also it's worth noting that most of the actors in it has decided not to pursue other project shows that when U have been to the Mt Everest of TV, the peaked, there's nowhere to go but down.
As Leo is getting arrested Jerry says Hello and Leo’s hello response was a classic. It was like he was upset with Jerry but he did say Hello and you “still say hello” so he had to respond with hello and somehow that made things a little better between the two for a split second.
Actually, that might be quite normal in the insane adult community. It's one of those moments where you appreciate someone for playing along with your idea and simultaneously realize how idiotic it is.
Fun fact : Jerry Stiller, James Hong (Seinfeld four), and the other lady who scans George’s book (deke’s wife) all went to the king of queens after this show ended
Same in California. Although its not really "criminally insane" because its not a crime. Here is the code in California 5150. (a) When a person, as a result of a mental health disorder, is a danger to others, or to himself or herself, or gravely disabled, a peace officer, professional person in charge of a facility designated by the county for evaluation and treatment, member of the attending staff, as defined by regulation, of a facility designated by the county for evaluation and treatment, designated members of a mobile crisis team, or professional person designated by the county may, upon probable cause, take, or cause to be taken, the person into custody for a period of up to 72 hours for assessment, evaluation, and crisis intervention, or placement for evaluation and treatment in a facility designated by the county for evaluation and treatment and approved by the State Department of Health Care Services.
"Susie, call Dr. Bison and make an appointment for Mr. Kramer. Tell him it's for me... Jackie Childs." That's Gold Jerry! Gold! This series was and still is light years ahead of the sitcom garbage found on TV today. I mean, Big Bang Theory?? Give me a break!
Len Lesser was in a Dirty Harry film right along side of Clint as a partner of his...and was in an early James Garner "Rockford files"...he hung out with The big boys in Hollywoood...
The way the security guard asks "Where's your uncle?" always makes me laugh
I laughed when he pulled out the walkie and started talking in codes.
*We have a 51-50 in paperbacks all units respond*
That guy! That guy! Swarm, swarm!
Also what kind of bookstore needs that amount of security? Lol
@@burtfurt1995 probably been hit a few times by Uncle Leo lol.

Didn't you watch Hey Arnold? Silent L in qualm. It won Olga the spelling bee, ffs!
+ICantSplel Hey Arnold! That was a good show. I used to watch it with my sons.

Worlds colliding
You left Jacky out ??? It's a public humiliation
Danish ALI it’s outrageous egregious preposterous
puddy was easily the worst guest star. he sucked the comedy out of the show
I love how the guard says "Where's your uncle?" like he's talking to a little child.

Jerry..Hello!! Answer that damn phone!!
we'll never see another show like this ever again..helloooo
seinfeld truly was the peak of televion.
You got that right! Seinfeld was an original. Most shows today try to imitate it but no show can do what Seinfeld did as brilliantly as it did
You need to watch Curb your Enthusiasm, the true successor

‘Answer the damn phone!’ in the prison dream is perfect.
poor uncle Leo. Jerry is always screwing him up but he never gets mad at him.
The Uncle Leo character is outstanding. 😂
Len Lesser was in several films and TV shows. He was in Outlaw Josey Wales. Everytime I see him in something, "HELLO!"
"That oughta keep you busy for a couple of days". This cracked me up, because I know what he means.
I didn't get that one, could you (or anyone) elaborate?
Yea I'd like to know too.
@@pumaconcolor2855 He knows that Jerry won't be able to let it go.
Fairly convinced Leo's firstname was actually Uncle.
😂😂
After all these years watching Seinfeld, just noticed Uncle Leo has the book store tattooed on his back 😂
They just don't make them hilariously funny like this anymore. Len Lesser, you were the greatest!
The actors are just fantastic. Uncle Leo's face... Like just look at this guy. It's f in hilarious. And he is so good

Uncle Leo is such a great character, everyone has those eccentric family members.
