Thanks for sharing your wrap up. I wish there were more books for the magical bookshop mysteries. I just recently read a new favorite, The Best Life Book Club by Sheila Roberts. It came at the right time for me.
While I hate the series ended, I do think for me personally, I’m much more likely to commit to a shorter series! 💛 Some of these 30+ book series are intimidating. 🙈
Gosh I hope I’m not hyping it up too much! It was just an enjoyable read! Not my favorite genre in regard to the sci fi elements, but I’m just a big fan of his writing. 👏
Sounds like a great month! I’m bummed I unhauled The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle because now I kind of want to read it since it’s being talked about so much with his new book out 😂
If you’re interested in trying another cozy mystery series, I highly recommend Darci Hannah’s Beacon Bakeshop series. It’s so cute and fun. I also highly recommend the audiobooks for this series because the narrator does an amazing job with different voices and accents.
I can't wait to read the new Stuart Turton book. I read The 7 1/2 Deaths earlier this year and LOVED it! I have Devil in the Dark Water on my unread shelf so I may read that one first.
I had a tie for my favorite book in June. It is between Summer by the Tides and One Wrong Move. They are completely different but they were both SO good.
Hey Keisha! I just watched you on the bookish cottage reading sprints on Tuesday! Sooo fun!! I’m always so excited to find cozy mystery lovers! Your shirt is so cute! I agree! Amanda flowers writing immerses you! I want to be on the town and friends w/ these characters! I’ve interviewed Amanda Flower twice and it’s so fun to hear her talk about her books. They are in my author interview playlist of you are interested! Omgosh! The Amish candy shop and the cheese shop cozy series are two of my faves!! So excited to see these! Great wrap up! 🩷🩷📚☕️📚☕️🦄🦋🎶💐🍩🛳️🌼🌈🌼🌈🌼
Hi Tiffany! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. My friends Lauren Jeanne and Kaitlin from Pride and Paperback really got me interested in cozies a couple of years ago and I have just grown to love them so much. ☺️
Yeah. I think I prefer sit down videos to lives. I tried watching the lives back but they long and I got impatient fast forwarding through lomg silences. So I’ve missed your wrap ups and am glad you doing sit downs.
I'm looking forward to reading The Last Murder later this month, and I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it! Most of the reviews I've heard were more in the 2-3 star range, so I'm glad to hear it worked for you.
I think it just depends on your reading taste! Turton is an intelligent writer, like a modern day Agatha Christie and this one has a more sci-fi/AI twist.
Love seeing your wrap! You read so much! I’m still bummed about your thoughts on dead and gondola 😂 but also thanks for reading beauty of darkness so now I know I can maybe skip it 🫠
It seems I’m an unpopular opinion on D&G though, so at least you know a lot of others enjoy it. ☺️ Also, ugh. Her writing was so good. I just wish that series would have held up. 🙄
Do you think Kiss of Deception can be read without needing to read the rest? It’s one of the oldest books on my unread shelf, but I’m not sure I want to get into it if the rest of the series is mediocre.

Gwen is so creative!! That sounds so fun! ❤

I really enjoyed the magical bookshop series and will definitely continue in it. Assaulted Caramel and Cheddar off dead are on my list! 📚
Magical Bookshop is ELITE! 👏👏👏
I’m so glad you said that about The Kiss of Deception series, I was curious about it 🙈
I’m so disappointed! 😭
You have me sooooo excited for the Stuart Turton Book! 🤭
Gosh I hope I’m not hyping it up too much! It was just an enjoyable read! Not my favorite genre in regard to the sci fi elements, but I’m just a big fan of his writing. 👏
Honestly, even the negative reviews make me think I am going to like it. 😆
Glad you loved the Stuart book more then me 😂
ME TOO! 😆
same lol 🤣🤣
The only problem with watching other book tube channels is that it only increases the tbr! Happy reading.
Haha, for sure! 😂👏
Tessa Afshar is so good!
YES!! 👏
Take July to slow down and rest!
I’m trying to, but then I do all the things! 🤣🙈
Sounds like a great month! I’m bummed I unhauled The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle because now I kind of want to read it since it’s being talked about so much with his new book out 😂
Yessss! You should! Especially if you like his writing!
If you’re interested in trying another cozy mystery series, I highly recommend Darci Hannah’s Beacon Bakeshop series. It’s so cute and fun. I also highly recommend the audiobooks for this series because the narrator does an amazing job with different voices and accents.
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ve seen this series around. ☺️

It’s always good when you have multiple favorites! 🥰
If I have to choose one, I think my favorite book in June was Cole and Laila are Just Friends. 📚🫶🏼
Breathing Underwater looks SO good! 👏🏻
I hate that the kiss of deception series dropped down for you 💔
I know! 😭
This makes me want to continue in the Magical Bookshop series!! 🥰🥰
DO IT 👀

I loved the Survivor challenge so much! Gwen is amazing!
She really is! ☺️

Hi Keisha! Good morning! 💛 I love your tshirt!!!! oh my goodness its so cute!!
Thank you! I got it from Love in Faith. 😊
Oh I love Because of Winn Dixie! I need to reread it!
It’s such a sweet classic ☺️
📚 📚 this may or may not also account for books I added to my TBR. 😂 I definitely need to pick up Tessa Afshar and The Letter Tree.
Ha! 😂 I love that! Yes, PLEASE, pick up The Letter Tree and In the Field of Grace! 👏

I really liked Crime & Poetry!
It’s the best! ☺️
Your t-shirt is adorable! 😊
Thank you! 💕
Omg I missed this one! Watching now ❤
Love you 💛💛💛
I just finished the ARC, Beyond Ivy Walls by Rachel Fordham. I think it’s my favorite by her so far.
Oh, I’m so excited to read it! ☺️

I def need to try Tessa Affshar! ❤
Yes! She is so good! 👏
You read so many books this month ❤❤
And now I’m suffering from burn out and a reading slump 🙈😂

I just started Dead and Gondola.
I hope you like it! 💛
You have me interested in the last murder!
Honestly any of his books that have synopses that pique your interest, I’d give a go! There’s just something about the way he writes that I love! 👏

💛

Yeah, I would say so. It does leave on a cliff hanger, but I think you could one and done it if you wanted to.
I can’t believe you don’t like foodie cozy mysteries 😂
It’s just not my niche 🤷♀️😂
📚Interesting reviews. I have tried Dead and Gondola twice. It just didn’t grab my interest.
I agree. And I hate that because I wanted to like it so much, but I found my thoughts drifting when I read it. I just wasn’t invested. 😕

I hate that the kids of deception didn’t get better lol
❤❤ I so wanna read Cheddar off Dead but now I’m like 🫠
