I had to laugh when I saw your title that "bag 99" has gone AWOL. That suggested there were at least 98 more bags out there at your place! What? You have to be one busy guy. 😂
Always enjoy the videos. Hair to see the bags survive so well. I have a few out there to check on myself. I'm already excited to be about gardening next spring. Well. I think I'll have a few more weeks in veg mode myself on the sofa. I know you'll have some more wonderful videos for us. That's too look forward to. Thank you Jim. A lot.
@jeffhidalgo8457 , 60 lbs of potatoes? That's amazing. I plan on trying these bags next year and see how well they do in the foothills of the Blue Ridge. But I'm going to start with just a few bags! 😁
@BlueRidgeDirt IKR! I started with 10, got 10 more, then they double shipped. I bag is equal to 5 gal bucket soil wise , some bags have a panel half way up. To sneak some potatoes out. The bag is like a heavy felt permeable with handles easily movable. I put them adjacent to my raised beds on sunny side worked with a great !
Thank you for this video. I used fabric weed fabric to make grow bags. Theyve been going on 3 years strong, only problem is my weed wacker seems ro slice through them pretty easy when im too lazy to move them.
Most interesting to me w/ garlic, onion & potato esp is Size. So many new variety experiments going on & suspect we get those sold as 'seconds'. *Look like real nice cluster potatoes but size variation a bit odd. Doubt xtra time or fertilizer wd've made a difference. Can't get around plant genetics.
In our hot Arkansas sun, growing outdoors in the US, the bags degrade in about 2 years. Handles start breaking and bags begin ripping. I think it has something to do with the UV. Either way, I'm done growing in them. Another perspective, sir...
Mine have been out doors always full of soil more or less since I got them several years ago. My concern that being wet then dry then wet then dry would rot the stitching but so far so good. They are paler in color from exposure to the sun but we don't see much of that and when we do its more often warm than hot. Thanks for your input and your perspective. Jim.
@@HomeGrownVeg I wish I could be helpful for you, but I'm not sure. I almost always use "how to/style", but occasionally I use "science and technology" for my breeding work.

@jeffhidalgo8457 Wow, that's impressive too!

Oh, and the watering increased significantly to keep plants from drying out/stressing.

Question for you Brent. What's the best category to list a gardening channel under on RUclips. Jim.

@@C3Voyage OK Thanks, Jim.
